The second I walked in I was immediately greeted by someone. The deco here was so aesthetic and clean! I came here to look at their indoor plants and must say that they have such a great selection of plants! They are all fairly priced, and have several of the same plant species to choose from. The plants looked like they were regularly cared for and looked very healthy. The workers also seemed to have great knowledge of the different plant species. I would definitely come here again to look for more indoor plants! The only downside is that I would not come here for pots, as I did not like many of their pot designs. Also, most pots did not have drainage holes (which I've seen a lot of other nurseries carry).

I'm actually speechless. Not sure where the garden part comes from but... whuuuuutttt. Drove 20 minutes wanting to buy flowers and this is what was here.

This was my second time attending a wedding reception here, and both experiences deeply impressed me!! The venue is filled with beautiful plants, one gorgeous water fixture, and plenty of space! There are two rooms- one is pictured here with all the seating, and is very effective for a receiving line. The other room is great for dining, and I believe the tables come with the venue! I would recommend this beautiful venue to anyone! The details make for a beautiful day and there is plenty of parking.

This place has the cutest home goods! High quality and timeless. It's a peaceful place to be. Worth the drive if you are looking for something specific.

What a gorgeous nursery. I wish I could plop down in a lawn chair and just enjoy the relaxing atmosphere in the green house where the plants are. The inside has a beautiful assortment of pots and cute home goods. Customer service was great and I will definitely be coming back again!

Cutest front entrance for Valentine's Day

I can't say enough positive things about Highland Gardens. I have been shopping here for over a year now on a regular basis and they never cease to amaze me. Not only is their staff extremely helpful and knowledgeable, they also go above and beyond to make your experience perfect. Their houseplant and garden center selection is incredible. I've been able to fill my house with all of the varieties of beautiful plants that I've wanted this year. They will help with any questions you have on any plant and will go as far as to help you repot your plants that are outgrowing their current pot. Their shop is also so incredibly cute. The best household items with a variety of styles. Plus their designer puts together the most adorable front entrance decorations that will make you want to hire them for your next party. They are also very up to date on current covid protocols keeping everything sanitary and always wearing their masks.

This venue is amazing! Beautiful waterfall and garden area. The staff is wonderful to work with. We had the wedding luncheon and the reception here. They set up / take down the tables; they have a huge variety of centerpieces to choose from. Amazing wonderful night ; highly recommend

But if my visit is any indication at all, this is probably a family-run spot with nice folks doing their best to bring you good flowers. The world of plant stores/nurseries has taken a turn for the charming lately, with some even doubling as wedding and reception centers. Interiors are being redone with very Instaworthy layouts and all the modern trends. That's not the case here. This is where you go for your bedding plants. This is where you go for a nice tree. This is where you go to peruse the perennials to just cruise and find something you like. I'm told that earlier in the season they have a nice selection of veggies so that would for sure be worth checking out. I'm not sure if the wintertime brings more houseplants, succulents, cacti, or other on-trend plants, but for now that selection was pretty limited. It's not their specialty, and that's A-OK as long as you know. I found the help to be very friendly, and they seemed to focus a lot on making the plants as affordable as possible, which is always appreciated. They were kind enough to remark on all the recent markdowns and take the time to show a few favorites. All in all, it's a pretty straightforward spot with a lot of the likely suspects, and if you cruise around town looking at nurseries as I do, you'll probably find something interesting here, too.

Today we will finalize some of our selections and ask for recommendations for landscapers. We already have a pleasing professional architectural plan, and now we are anxious to implement it right away with the healthy looking plants we found here. The staff was extremely helpful and patient. The facility is well organized. Hopefully we are not too late in the planting season for inventory selection. They were busy the day we were there, and we noticed a lot of contractors selecting stock. I can't believe there aren't more reviews posted here. We live in Orem and learned about Thrive from some neighbors who used them. We visited another large nursery in Orem, and they were very helpful, but we connected with Thrive's organization, selection and plant health.

I was very disappointed with my experience at Thrive Nursery…read more I recently spent over $300 on flowers and plants, including a hydrangeas that cost $53 each. Within 24 hours of planting it, the hydrangea was already dying. I called and left a voicemail but never received a return call. When I called again the next day, I was told, "We don't warranty plants, only trees." What disappointed me most wasn't just the policy--it was how it was handled. As I tried to explain what had happened, I was repeatedly interrupted with, "We don't warranty plants." There was no attempt to listen to my concerns or offer any kind of customer service or goodwill solution. If there is no warranty on plants, especially on expensive items, that should be clearly explained to customers before they make a purchase. I spent over $300 expecting healthy, quality plants and at least some level of support if something went wrong within the first 24 hours. Unfortunately, the lack of communication, the unwillingness to listen, and the poor customer service have left me very disappointed. Based on this experience, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. You've lost a loyal customer.

The meticulous attention to detail by Roberto and John in removing the old tree and planting the new should be the standard for all nurseries, but it isn't. Sun River Gardens is beautifully organized, thoughtfully displayed, and stocked with a selection that puts most nurseries in the area to shame. Walking through it feels less like a garden center errand and more like an experience worth making time for. The indoor plant section is well curated and extensive. The outdoor area covers annuals, perennials, trees, and shrubs. The pottery selection, both indoor and outdoor, is lovely and priced accordingly. The pre-potted arrangements are hard to walk past. And then there is the home decor section, which is genuinely my favorite part of the visit. Exclusive, elegant, and full of pieces you simply will not find anywhere else, from beautiful accents and furniture to the most charming toys you can imagine. None of it is cheap, but none of it looks like anything else either. Now for the part I have been trying to figure out for years. I have a green thumb. I have a home full of healthy thriving plants. But something consistently happens with the plants I bring home from Sun River Gardens. Within a week or two, despite careful attention and following care instructions, they decline and die. This has happened enough times to be a pattern rather than a coincidence. Interestingly I have noticed the same thing with plants from other high end nurseries, while plants from Harmons or even Walmart almost always thrive. My best guess is that greenhouse grown plants raised in highly controlled environments struggle more with the transition to home conditions, but I genuinely do not know. What I do know is that it keeps happening. And yet I keep coming back, because the selection and the experience are that good. Four stars for the atmosphere, the inventory, and that home decor section. Just go in with realistic expectations if you are buying plants to keep alive.
