I have felt at home with this job and the customers it brings. I have so many regulars that love the drinks and sometimes likes to try new experiments and things. The pastries?? They are so GOOD and hand made by Jasmine, herself. We also offer Keto and Vegan pastries, and offer non-dairy products. We even have QUICHE !!

It is located inside ERDC HQ next to the cafeteria. The coffee is good (I usually get soy milk but the soy tasted... different than what I am used to. I realize it might be a Vicksburg thing and not this particular location), the baked goods are yummy (I tried plenty of them) and the smoothie is very refreshing! I also added a shot of Green Food to my smoothie which I was surprised they had. I am only in town for a short time but back home, I usually do a shot of Green Food in the morning. I did not pack it with me so I have been going without it. I can definitely feel a difference with the energy level and it just feels good especially with the amount of deep fried food I have been eating while in Vicksburg. My only wish is that there was a seating/communal area but given the location and such, it makes sense that they do not. Glad to have this gem so close to the office!

Well this was my first time visiting The Scoop, and I can only review the malt that I had. All I…read morecan say is OMG it was great! I had a butterscotch, roasted pecan, double malted malt, and it was fantastic. The ice cream is very good quality and that plays a great part in the overall flavor. Few places make actual malts these days, but this place does and they are good at it too. The young man that served me could have played the low talker on an episode of Seinfeld, as I had to lean all the way across the counter to hear what he was saying, and I get that some people are just very shy; but other than that I really enjoyed the ice cream. Will definitely be going back even though it means traveling from Madison to get it.

I must say, as much as Southerners love their sweet tea, they don't over-load their donuts with sugar here in Mississippi. It's rather refreshing after trying some of the sugar-bombs in other parts of the south.

The location is perfect for a coffee shop. I love old downtowns, and this is in an old downtown building. Inside is quiet and comfortable with lots of seating options. Sit at the bar, at a table, or even gather with friends on a couch. If I lived nearby, this would likely become my second office, as I am a huge fan of working in a coffee shop. The staff were super friendly and made specialty drinks that the kids loved. I got a cold brew in a can from a nearby roaster that was great. I had never had straight cold brew in a can, but this is a concept I can get behind. Most cold brew in a can is some fru fru sweet nonsense or some Monster clone. I like my coffee ice cold and by itself. The can provided that, but it was also easy to store and drink. More canned cold brew, please! If you are in Vicksburg, stop here. You will not be disappointed.

I tried the place I knew but it was closed. Lucky for me, this place was right across the street. I won't bore you with the details of why Vicksburg is a special place to me. Just know that it is. I haven't been in a long time so stopping for coffee brought back some great memories. Anyway, back to the review. This is an incredibly cool place. The clothing is outdoor focused and very stylish. The coffee is very good and rivals most full time coffee houses. Plus it has parish in the name so this Louisiana boy is a fan.
