I was telling her about how I saw someone parked in front of my house the other day. That person was just sitting in their car with it on staring at my family and me. When I mentioned that to my friend, she immediately had me call Scott to install our video security camera system. Scott came over THAT NIGHT! He already had his portable ladder in the trunk of his car, his tool belt and flashlight with him. He worked very efficiently and had my security camera up in no time. After installing the hardware, he worked with me to set up the monitor and recording system. Even though it is a non-name brand camera from amazon, Scott knew exactly how to make it work and record when motion was detected. Arietta Electric YELP critique…read more I hired Daniel in an effort to help the relative of a friend I used to work with to replace my main electric panel and upgrade it to 125 amps with follow up work afterwards. Having worked with electricians for almost 20 years I have to say this was the worst experience I've ever had in dealing with a "contractor". 1. He failed to give me a written estimate. 2. Several times I had to offer suggestions to make the job easier and more efficient for him or to stop him from making a mistake as it appeared to me he didn't know what he was doing. 3. He disconnected all of the original breakers without labeling each wire as I had done on the old panel door. I still have two circuits he hasn't labeled and I have no idea what they power. 4. He damaged a tree in front trying to hand bend a 1-1/4" piece of rigid conduit between two limbs and ignored the hunk of bark he broke off without comment. 5. He installed incorrect parts. I chose to buy some of the proper replacements and install myself or give to him to show him how to use them. 6. He failed to tell me I had to install sheetrock or paneling inside behind the panel to pass inspection. 7. The original inspection failed and he was forced to reinstall the main panel a second time. 8. He refused to follow all the County Inspectors requests when inspections failed, and he lied to me about it even though I witnessed them not being done. 9. When he tried to show me how to stucco around the new panel he only made things worse. And then he joked about being the most expensive stucco person around. 10. After installing an outdoor receptacle under the panel he told me I'd now have to move my side gate so it could close. But that was not true and I wonder why he didn't check before installing it. 11. I spent a lot of time cleaning up after his work and had to tear out the stucco I installed around the new panel and stucco twice because he failed the inspection. 12. While his assistant (an ex-houseframer with a large hammer...) pulled romeex under the house he dislodged HVAC ducting from the furnace trying to crawl over it and didn't repair it. 13. I had to request an actual invoice after I paid him because he never sent a bill. 14. I texted him twice, and after no reply in over a week, I called and left a message asking him to return to ID the two circuits and finish part of the job he agreed to do. 15. He did return my phone message with a call-but then hung up on me without a word. I recently left another message that I was leaving a bad YELP review but still I have not heard from him. 16. An adult with good business sense would have attempted to remedy the situation. 17. I wouldn't trust this young man to change batteries in a flashlight at this point. He is no longer welcome on my property EVER AGAIN.

The quality and care of the work was totally shoddy, careless, non-functional and non- durable. The price was completely disproportionate. My friend who looked at the work described it as having been "phoned in" on a toy plastic Mickey Mouse phone with a fake rotary dial. One example- the installation of a washing machine drain connected only with duct tape and without a standpipe, so water leaked all over the floor the very 1st time the washer was used. Another example: Repair of a redwood gate using a piece of interior trim (not redwood and not waterproof). I wasn't sure how/if it was attached to the rest of the gate so I pulled on it gently and it started to come of in my hand. It was only attached with a few staples (not strong or waterproof). My mistakes: 1. I did not read other reviews, especially the one where Kelly responds to an unhappy client with "I know who you are and I know where you live". 2. That I let him do these super simple projects without me supervising and telling him not to use the wrong materials, not to attach moving parts in a wet environment with tape and staples and not to make the work disfunctional, weak and ugly. My bad.
