    They have a $50 off any service if you book your appointment online. Upon going in this morning for my appointment, I was told that doesn't count for oil changes when I specifically used the $50 off link on their website and one of the options is an oil change. After I left this location after canceling, I confirmed online again that this does in fact cover "any service" including oil changes. I called back and Gerson who I had spoken with in store answered. I asked him to go on his website, he asked why, which I said "to educate himself" so no else's time gets wasted. He hung up on me. Called back to speak with a manager and they were conveniently not available. Won't be going back and I'd suggest taking your car somewhere else. Shady business.

    10/10 BEST AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR SHOP WE HAVE EVER HAD!!!!…read more My wife and I purchased a vehicle in January of this year, and her A/C started giving us issues with cooling down after about 2 months of driving it. Long story short we took it to CBA (recommended by my mobile mechanic) and found out it needed a completely new A/C kit. I had bought an extended warranty when I financed the vehicle but they only wanted to cover the cheapest parts possible. Would have been $800+ on top of our deductible to actually repair it with quality parts. We are in no position to use that kind of money, and Mackie called me back to tell me they would cover the extra cost if we just agreed to pay our original $100 deductible. My wife in tears, I'm left speechless, this is an unforgettable experience and we arent going to have to go into the AZ summer -$800 with a brand new A/C. Thank God for this business, for the people he placed there & praise the Lord for their generosity in times like these. If anyone ever asks who they should use as a mechanic, the answer will ALWAYS be Christian Brothers from here on out.

I brought it back again, and they kept my vehicle for several days and drove it multiple times, only to tell me they "couldn't find anything wrong." Meanwhile, the original issue was still happening. At that point, I completely lost trust in this shop. Not only were they extremely expensive, but despite spending over $4,000 there, my vehicle issues only continued getting worse. The first time the vehicle stopped starting, I ended up replacing the starter myself. It started again afterward, but only lasted about a week before it stopped starting once more. That's when I finally decided to take it to the Jeep dealership for another inspection. I was then informed that the engine is now seized and I'm being quoted around $11,000 for a new engine. I'm extremely disappointed with the repeated misdiagnosis and lack of urgency regarding serious symptoms like engine shaking and exhaust smoke. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this shop to anyone.

What's frustrating is that Gemba's own messaging says they focus on root-cause diagnostics, transparency, and avoiding unnecessary upsells: "We fix the root cause... No pressure. Just the truth." That wasn't my experience. I wasn't shown clear proof or given alternative options before being told I needed one of the most expensive repairs possible. After a routine oil change, I was also suddenly told I now need an oil pressure switch, which raises additional concerns - are they manufacturing problems to drive ticket value? I've since heard similar experiences from others being told they need full transmissions as well, which makes this feel less like a case-by-case diagnosis. I recommend getting a second opinion before committing to major repairs here.

However, I am very disappointed with the level of expertise and outcome of the visit. My 2014 Jeep compass has had the check engine light on for a week, steering locked up last week, and has had delayed clicking start. Justin arrived, I gave him the full history of my vehicle (no problems for 10 years) and the issues occurring the last month or so which prompted the call. He started running tests, even drove the car around to see if he could replicate what I had been experiencing. About 30 minutes into the visit he said he couldn't replicate any of the issues; that's okay, as I mentioned it only happened about 50% of the time. But he sat in my car another 20-30 minutes or so, told me he had to call his boss because he was completely stumped. Not really what you want to hear, but even I started making suggestions of what it could be so he could at least do something for me. At the end of the visit he basically just said "sorry I have no idea what's wrong, maybe replace your battery?"... the only thing he found was a sensor on my engine needed replacement, but it's totally unrelated to the other issues. I ended up having to pay $150 for literally no better idea what's wrong with my car and not feeling any safer to drive it. It was a huge waste of my time and now I'm out $150, and I still had to take it to another shop that already figured out the problem not even 24 hours later. Save yourself some money and go to a real auto shop. I understand that some technicians may be learning or lack the knowledge to dive deeper, but someone should be going with them to assist so your customers aren't left feeling robbed and confused.

I've spent every day since trying to handle this with patience, professionalism, and privacy. I submitted certified diagnostics from Mercedes-Benz. I accepted a partial payout through my own insurance--even though AVCC caused the damage. I filed a formal complaint with the Arizona Attorney General's Office. Still... no ownership. No follow-through. And still no refund, despite their own public statement offering one. But this isn't just about money. Most Americans name their cars for a reason--because they become part of our lives. Gracie was that kind of car. She carried my kids in car seats, kept my wife close on family road trips, and quietly waited for us at every airport curb or long drive home. She wasn't just a vehicle. She was a keeper of memories, a source of comfort, and a symbol of continuity in a life that's seen change and loss. I was going to pass her on to someone special--until All Valley Car Care destroyed her. And here's the hard truth: * AVCC failed to perform the agreed-upon repair, resulting in irreparable damage to my vehicle's engine and a confirmed total loss and constitutes a clear breach of the paid service agreement. * AVCC's advertised warranty terms--ranging from 3 years/36,000 miles to 5 years/60,000 miles--were a material term that influenced my decision to proceed with the repair. * AVCC told the Attorney General in May they'd contact their insurance provider. It's mid-July--no claim info, no insurance contact, no accountability. * AVCC's owner publicly stated on his website he had "offered a refund of $6,600", yet nothing was received and fulfilled. This isn't about a dollar figure--it's about doing the right thing. It's about honoring your word. It's about standing by the values your business advertises. It's about integrity. I asked my neighbors in my community through Facebook, who they would recommend. One person recommended Champs. BIG, BIG MISTAKE. Though I appreciated what was meant to be helpful advice from my neighbors, I ended up in a very bad situation of being horribly ripped off by Champs. I am now in the process of a small claims lawsuit against them. There are far too many corrupt and unethical mechanics out there but he takes the cake. I was trying my best to avoid this but it happened anyway. I dropped the ball by not bothering to read all of their horrifically negative reviews on Yelp. I was quoted $500 for the work and authorized it. When it was completed the price doubled. Nothing changed or was added to the scope of work. They refused to explain this. In addition they broke the interior console and left lots of grease on my seats and dash, which I had to clean with degreaser. When I asked that they replace the broken console, the owner laughed and said "Your car is old and things break and I'm not paying for it." Btw, My car was in pristine shape. I have no kids, no pets, I don't smoke and don't even eat in my car. In fact, I'm meticulous about keeping my car looking new. I asked him to cover the cost of replacing the console by at least taking $50 off the work. He said, " I don't give away free money." I replied, "You broke my car. " He said, "Too bad, I'm not paying for it." This man was one of the most unprofessional, rude and volatile people I've ever encountered. In fact, he made me feel like he would physically assault me even though I was treating him with respect and patience. My experience at Champs was worse than I could have ever feared. As I said, if I had only read the horrifying reviews, this wouldn't have happened to me. I wish I had chosen one of the other suggestions. I hope this helps someone else not make this same mistake. My advice: appreciate the intended help but please read the Yelp reviews beforehand. Hopefully this man will have to pay for damaging my car in a court of law. I'm 64, have cancer and don't deserve this but I now have to fight for justice. Don't end up in my shoes. Update: First and foremost, EVERYTHING he said in response is a lie. EVERY single thing. He's trying to deceive readers to save himself potential business. I find it interesting that he reveals his first name because he told me his name is Champ. Secondly, him addressing me as "Dear Sherri" is laughable. He was as rude and nasty as one can get to my face. Again, he's trying to create a false impression. Lie after lie after lie will not work with most consumers. People see through unscrupulous people like him. I wouldn't put out this much effort if he were innocent of any of what I contend. One particularly egregious lie he told is he claims my car is 23 years old. He does this to create the impression that my car is old and beat up. The truth is my car is a 2012. In actuality it's only 13 years old and WAS in pristine condition before I unfortunately chose to take it to Champs. I'm sure he will try to edit his lie but that's what screenshots are for. The bottom line here is that unethical, dishonest people like him will easily lie to cover their behaviors. Most consumers understand this reality and will heed my warnings. I don't want others to find themselves in my position.

Without indicating there was ANY cost involved whatsoever, Front Desk Guy sweetly asked "would you like us to give it a once-over?" Which, since I was at that time a regular customer, I THOUGHT that meant just give it a safety-check out of courtesy to a repeat, publicly complimentary, senior-citizen client that they maybe cared for! How wrong I was. After having it several days, they tell me that they can't fix the original problem because they "Couldn't find the part - and wouldn't install an after-market part off of Ebay" (My car is a 1999 w/ low mileage) Then the real Clinker after 3 days: They call and say, "We couldn't fix your problem, but come and get your truck and pay Christian Bro's nearly $200 bucks for a "diagnostic" that I WAS NOT INFORMED UP FRONT would cost anything at all! But also, this 'Diagnostic' informs me that my truck needs OVER $4300 DOLLARS in servicings and repairs - Including NEW BRAKES that, apparently the "Diagnostic expert" wasn't aware had been replaced by them on that very truck a few months earlier! I felt totally taken advantage of and complained to the manager, John, who gave me some "yada yada" and stated that that particular employee working the front desk was fired - However, and this is the whole point of the story - This manager of this multi-million dollar, allegedly 'Christian', gold-mine on the corner of Thunderbird & 75th Ave would NOT refund all, or any part, of this deceitful charge with a humble apology for their unscrupulous employee (note: Failure to disclose a COST right up front is a LIE ) Not only that, but Upsell #1 opened the door for MEGA-UPSELL #2 of $4,319 dollars! I STILL look back at this lengthy report with shock and awe. According to this diagnostic that I didn't ask for, there's no reason, whatsoever, my truck is still able to roll down the street. According to them, practically EVERYTHING on my vehicle is on it's last couple of miles.; Lastly, and final insult to my patronage, my age, my intelligence, nor would Christian Brothers even offer a discount or a half-off on the next visit to them. You know, a way of saying, "We still want your business". I think they saw a senior-woman and saw a dumb sucker ready to be plucked out of the stream of suckers. In that lone experience, I learned Christian Brothers is all about "Show me the $ MONEY $" They are only after the money, and customer retention is completely moot. They could care LESS if you are a returning customer. I am no longer using Christian Brothers for any auto repair needs. If anyone knows of an HONEST, caring, competent auto mechanic around Peoria/Glendale please be so kind as to DM me. I made an appointment on their website, they gave me an estimated time of completion and were actually early! I took my car on a Thursday. The customer service was great, the waiting area was amazing- snacks, coffee, candy, water- so inviting! My favorite part (and my daughter's) was the cute little cocoa bar they had set up since it's Christmas time! So cute! Everything was clean, especially the restroom and just overall the place is cozy and inviting (not dirty and cold like most other places). We will definitely Be back again soon. If you need service, go here! They won't try to up sell you on a bunch of stuff you don't need, they all seem like honest, genuine people and we are thankful for the service we had today.
