We walked into the store, the…read moretwo employees at the front were laughing and talking, no one acknowledged us so we walked over to the desk and interrupted their conversation to ask where we could find the charger. Jose, one of the two chatty employees, replied with "oh we don't carry HP but we have a generic brand". So I asked Jose what aisle and he told me the chargers were on aisle 16. We walked over to aisle 16 which was all backpacks and binders. So we then walked back to the front to find Jose and told him he gave us the wrong aisle. His response was "uhh ohh ok I think then maybe Aisle 17?" So we walked to aisle 17 and alas, we found the charger! Funny enough, it was in fact a HP brand charger. Jose had stayed at the front to laugh and chat with his coworker instead of following us to assist. The charger was locked up so we then, again, had to walk back to fetch him to unlock the charger. Overall terrible experience. Hoping this review helps incentivize better employee training.

Marcus has delivered time and time again, on time and at budget. Every cubicle install has been top notch in every aspect from the delivery, installation, floor plan design and everything in between. Also, I'd like to point out that he has consistently had the best looking used cubes out there. He's careful with his selection and only stocks excellent quality cubicles. As anyone in business knows, nothing is perfect but when the last delivery left us short on a panel, Marcus sprung into action and had a custom panel created and installed without me having to pester or remind him. I had actually forgotten about it. But he didn't. Marcus has earned my continued trust and is my first call anytime I need new office furniture. I visited the store in a happy and positive mood because I wanted to order Mother's Day balloons for my family. Yesterday, while returning an Amazon package, I noticed rose-shaped balloons and decided to come back this morning to purchase them. At the front desk, I approached an employee named Ken -- a heavy-set man with curly permed hair -- because I believed he worked in the balloon section and could assist me. When I politely asked about ordering the rose balloons, his response was shockingly dismissive: "What? You look for it yourself. If it's not there, then we don't have it. Just look at the balloon pictures over there and pick one." I then pointed to a silver Mother's Day heart balloon on display and asked where it was located. His response again was: "I don't know. Just buy whatever is there." The tone was irritated, careless, and openly disrespectful. At that moment, I put all the balloons down and asked for his name. He simply replied, "Ken." What upset me most was not just the lack of assistance, but the complete absence of basic courtesy and professionalism. I truly do not understand why someone who appears so irritated by customer questions would choose to work in customer service -- especially in a department specifically selling celebration balloons for occasions like Mother's Day. If customers asking questions is such a burden, then why sell balloons at all? Why not clearly label the products and information instead of treating customers as an inconvenience? This experience completely ruined my morning and destroyed the joyful mood I had walking into your store to prepare something meaningful for Mother's Day. Honestly, experiences like this are what make people feel that AI and self-service machines are becoming preferable to human employees. At least machines do not make customers feel unwelcome for simply asking a question. I strongly urge management and corporate leadership to address this employee's behavior seriously and improve customer service standards at this location. No customer should be spoken to this way for simply asking for help. I would appreciate a response regarding how this issue will be addressed.

When I called Alan Desk to discuss the issues, I was given a series of things to try, which I had either tried before on my own or were not effective. I felt the salesperson at Alan Desk was not listening to me or trying to understand my issues at all. It felt like the Alan Desk salesperson has a checklist of things they say to customers. There was no recognition that sometimes chairs just may not be the best fit for a person or empathy around the situation. The Alan Desk sales person kept saying things like "you have to change your chair settings throughout the day." Even when I said that I had tried that, the person kept repeating it throughout the conversation. It actually began to feel like the person either didn't believe me, felt like I was an idiot and had not previously tried the obvious suggestions they were making, or just didn't want to accept or deal with any problems. Good office chairs are expensive purchases. I did not feel my concerns and issues about my purchase were taken seriously at Alan Desk. It is interesting to see so many glowing reviews for Alan Desk. The most recent comment before mine that I can see is 2021, so perhaps there was a change in management. Or perhaps Alan Desk now cares more about making sure larger offices with bigger orders are happy. Either way, I would not use this company again as I grow my business. I suppose I can put the chair I bought from Alan Desk in a corner once I find a better chair and company.

Since we were just browsing, he led us into their showroom, shared a few highlights about Alan Desk, and told us if we had any questions or needed help, just to ask. Their showroom is huge, chock full of chairs and desks. Many are of conservative design, but an equally large amount were modern, and quite attractive. Prices varied widely, so there's bound to be something you can afford if you're on a budget. If I was in the market for office furniture - and they do have home office offerings - I'd return in a heartbeat. Check out Alan Desk for yourself!

They charged me $45 to look at it. When I got it back, they charged $95 for labor. What did they do? They ordered new ink, and wiped down the inside. Overall I paid $130+ for him to buy new ink, wipe down the back, and put it in. An honest local, repair business (I had one nearby when I lived in Woodland Hills), wouldn't bilk you for every penny. They'd tell you what the problem was, and do the right thing when charging for the actual labor/effort so that you'd want to go back. This business did the exact opposite. They also promised me an invoice which was never presented to me or sent to me. They knew exactly what they were doing, which is why it felt so awkward when I went to pick it up. I know times are tough. And they were never rude to me. But this is no way to run a business. I live nearby but I will never do business with them. I am a teacher, who immediately got an office job for the summer, lacking in time and money (operating hours are tough here too) and they were laughing their way to the bank with me. Literally. The guy laughed on the phone when I told him I'd come in to pick it up. They kept suggesting "send the old ink back" as if to suggest this could offset the EXTREMELY HIGH LABOR COSTS they were charging me. Again, not a way to treat customers (nor could I sent it back, it's literally open ink cartridges from weeks ago). Very dishonest. DO NOT go here.
