I called a few vendors to gauge the prices to expect. Mr. Maguire went from Quincy to Concord the very next day to give me an estimate. I only had one month to play with, since the former tenants left and the new tenants would be coming in, and I wanted to have the windows done first before the interior work. I was very happy with ABC Construction's price and only heard good things about them, so as soon as he gave me a quote, I asked him to proceed. I signed the contract and mailed it back to him (I live in East Boston). The project was done in ten days. The windows are quite good and very professionally installed and one of them is a large (what he calls a "picture") window. The house now retains heat and looks much nicer! I would not hesitate having ABC Construction do more projects for me. Very trustworthy. Very honest.

Soaked through the inner & outer walls of the linen closet. Water seeped under & on top of the hardwood floors. MA Restoration arrived within an hour to start remediation. The team brought in giant fans, drying machines, plastic walls to contain heat, removed wet wooden floor. Within a week or so it was determined there was no mold. After my insurance adjuster completed his appraisal of my heavily damaged unit, I hired MA Restoration to do the renovation work. I cannot say enough positive things about Steve Karas and his team. They are all craftsmen. They take pride in their work, they are no nonsense. They are polite, respectful, trustworthy, dependable. Always called before they arrived. Always on time to start the day. I know this because I met them every morning at 7:30. No radios, always neat, always cleaned up at the end of the day. Steve was always in contact with me regarding start dates of the renovation. He always checked with me to see if dates fit into my schedule. Steve was always available to take my phone calls or texts or to return them. He explained the renovation process step by step. Answered all my questions, no question was too dumb. The renovation was done in 2 parts. First, the bathroom. Steve had to acquire a building permit to do the renovation. Steve's team removed bathroom ceiling, celling fixtures, and linen closet walls. Old insulation was removed. Replaced with up-to-code fire wall insulation. Building inspector checked on the progress. Everything was replaced and painted. Building inspector signed off on bathroom renovation. Second project was much bigger: living and dining room, kitchen and foyer. I had about 800 ft of floating hardwood floor installed at "diagonally" throughout the 800ft of space. Lots of angles in condo which meant a lot of cutting. Another great job. Very efficient workers. John and Chris are both great workers. They arrived promptly and immediately started to relocate all my furniture to other areas of my condo. Very organized. Very careful with all of our furniture. With empty space they were able to remove all the wallpaper, and then remove about 800 ft of a floating hardwood floor. They very carefully removed all the quarter rounds. On another day, they moved my 3 kitchen appliances to another location. Nothing damaged, all very neatly done. All flooring & wallpaper removed. The painting crew did an outstanding job. Sanding and priming the walls. So smooth. They had to paint with 4 different colors. One color for ceiling, a second color for the crown molding, chair molding & baseboard, a third color for the upper wall, and a fourth color for the lower wall. Also had to paint the quarter rounds that John and Chris replaced. I had a dark brown window seat painted the same color as the trim. Doors had to be removed, primed, painted, and replaced. Excellent work. Cleaned up after themselves. John did a very professional job on the wooden fireplace surround. Used the same flooring material. All cutting of the boards was done outside the building. I did appreciate that fact. When all work was completed, Chris & John replaced all the furniture, appliances and area rugs. They neatly stacked the excess wood flooring. Steve and his crew are talented, efficient, thoughtful, don't take short cuts, use quality materials, dependable. I highly recommend them.

I would like to give an overwhelmingly positive review for Woodland Home remodeling…read more I came to Woodland for a full siding replacement, from wood to vinyl, and Woodland was incredibly responsive in helping me decide what the right options would be for my house. Ultimately, they even ended up being one of the lowest quotes - and I searched all around Rhode Island. Mike (the CEO) and his team were extremely communicative, updated me at each stage of the process. When work change orders had to be made to replace parts of the framing, He explained it to me in an in-depth, understandable way, and the changes were cheap. I even ended up asking his company to do some additional work while they were there because their work was so exceptional. The work for the entire house was done ahead of schedule, and I never really felt uncomfortable working in my house (I work from home), even though it was be completely re-constructed right under my nose! Mike treats his employees well, and sent them home during a summer heat wave, which I was super happy about; it was really dangerwous out there. Mike also supervises the work personally, although his employees are also incredible masters at their craft and don't need any correct. Ultimately, my house was completely remade and looks AMAZING. I couldn't be happier with the outcome, and after having gone over the siding in detail, I find it darn near perfect. They state that if you ask for inspections on your new build, which they recommend you do, they will provide them and review them with you. But they will not, in fact they will lie to you about the inspections. If you select a finish or material that they layer cannot provide they will substitute whatever they want without asking you, the buyer. Their co tract states they cannot do that, but they will. Their contract states that the purchaser is protected, if Britton fails to comply with the contract they will refund all monies. But when the purchaser calls in them for failure to perform, they will lie and tell you they do not refund money in any circumstance. Especially do not buy in Star Trail in Prosper. I would love to have the work speak for it self. ---- We were blind sighted with this "contractor" by the initial lender at the last minute. He found a way to remove our chosen contractor about 10 days before closing. I will go right in and forget about the book long details. The work he did in the home, his professionalism and his lack of regard when it comes to his dealings with people is deplorable. See attached pictures: The roof leaked in the same spot that had prior issues before full roof replacement was supposedly done by WC before we even moved in. The panel vinyl siding he"installed" is laying in the bushes and not on the facade were it once was. The nails used to "hold them in place" are rusting, which seems to me weakens their life. Its warped in some areas, the gutter leaks and the paint inside the home looks as though 10 year old apprentice on their first day of class did the work. The paint is see through on every wall in this house but one. The paint quality he used is not adequate for all rooms especially the bathrooms and kitchen. There's no real coverage and anyone who enters knows the color the rooms were before. He never attempted to really paint the trims. The brush strokes never touch in the trim. Our ceilings have paint from the brush touching them in (every room). His work failed it was trash from the start. Roof leaked in kitchen in the same area it did prior to this contractor replacing the old roof.
