I went to the Sun Clinical Laboratory today on Whittier located in 9200 Colima Rd. Ste 102 and Monica was the person that assisted me and drew my blood. Although she was the only person working there she was very professional, polite and very kind and knowledgeable. I appreciate the beaut of her customer service skills she posses and how she handles herself with patients. She was prompt with the blood drawing and very well spoken in a friendly and warm nature way. Thank you Monica, I hope that your hard work does not go unnoticed. read more

I had a wonderful experience with this Sun Clinical Laboratory because of Monica. Although she was the only one person running the show from checking you in, checking insurance, to drawing your blood she out does herself! She's so nice and caring and when she's drawing out your blood she's a pro. I HATE needles and hate blood I don't even look every time they take out my blood but she made it so quick and easy. She's amazing. The wait was not long around 9:30-10am. I was seen in about 15-20 minutes. Hopefully she's here to stay and run this place and probably get at least one more helper. Wanted to leave a second review because Monica deserves a raise or something for handling everything from start to finish all by herself. I feel like at this point Sun Clinical should stop pushing one person to do everything (even though Monica is doing an A+ job) and hire a front office person for the mornings as it would expedite the visit time and give the phlebotomist room to breathe. I think it is beyond amazing that she is handling the entire laboratory clinic all by herself and the fact that she maintains a positive and professional attitude all while efficiently handling people's care, really speaks to her passion to help people read more

They do not open at the times listed. This is inconvenient for people who are fasting or have taken time off from work. The time said opens at 8 but opened at 10. Seems like it's happened before. Took my daughter at 8 and no one was there I wanted for 30 minutes. No one showed. read more

The place is next to Whittier Hospital Medical Centre building. But, the lab is not spaced enough for more than 4 people to sit. Any extra patients have to wait outside the lab/office for queue.. Only 1 nurse doing the administration & blood test. read more

I have nothing against the poor girl working this lab, she was great. It's the Lab itself. Needed a stool sample. They don't provide the paper catch for the toilet bowl. What am I supposed to use, my hands ?? Also she has no phone and no fax machine. The building is so dilapidated that thieves are stealing the wiring out of the building. NOT GOOD !!!! read more

Monica is the only person working at this lab location. She draws the blood. She gets it on the first try. She runs the front desk, and signs people in. She answers the phone... She does everything! She's so nice and wonderful I can't say enough about her! Makes going to the lab a good experience! read more

Updated review because Monica is excellent. --- I've had my blood drawn regularly all my life, and it's always been a horrible experience with pain or bruising. That is, until I met Monica. Every time I'm with her, I can't even feel the needle--she's that good. This place is incredibly lucky to have her. However, it's disappointing to see that she's left to work alone, with no one helping her. (Shame on you, labcorp). People get upset when she can't take any more patients, but it's not her fault. Labcorp seems intent on overworking her, and it's truly unfair. Monica deserves better support and recognition for her outstanding skills. If you need blood drawn, make sure to ask for her--you won't regret it! I will be referring my family members who also get blood drawn regularly to Monica. read more

Came here for some lab work, I showed up early thinking there was going to be a line since I am fasting. Got here at 8 am sharp, door was locked, lights were off. Called all the numbers and got a hold of someone from Sun Labs, apparently they are always late, so dont show up early. Awesome, I want to work at place where I can always show up to work late Finally at around 8:40 someone showed up, telling everyone to move so she can open the door. This place is terrible and its CASH ONLY! Seriously? Go somewhere else like Quest or LabCorp if possible. read more

They only have one staff working at the Whittier location but the staff person is very nice and efficient. She explains the entire process and when the results will be available. This is my second time I've been to their Whittier office. Would recommend. The building is old but it serves the purpose well. read more

I had to get blood drawn (yay! NOT!). There was only one employee in there doing front desk and drawing the blood and fortunately I caught her right before she went to lunch. I'm usually a hard stick, so hard that nurses have had to use vein finder machines to find a vein, and even then it was iffy. She got it on the first try after searching for only a couple of minutes. Then she went on to explain the complexities of veins. I don't know if this is the same woman who has complaints against her in other posts, but the lady I had was better than a lot of nurses (and a couple of doctors who also failed) when it came to finding a vein and getting the blood that was requested. My experience here was great! It was easy to find and plenty of parking. I did go early on a Thursday morning. They were open right at 8am. They are closed on Wednesday's. The woman who helped me was super nice and efficient. If you don't have cash, they must call in your credit/debit card info into another office. The woman running the front desk also drew my blood. She was excellent! I barely felt anything at all when she pierced the needle. The bathrooms for the urine samples are outside in the hallway.The building is old but everything was clean. Although it wasn't busy when I got there she said it is normally very busy. When I left there was another patient waiting who the woman at the front desk was helping. Called made an appointment for my baby to get blood taken out. Went fast and easy the lady who was working alone did an amazing job.

I see why they have no video or audio recording inside the facility for a reason. The lady who took blood has no clue what the hell she is doing. She was suppose to have two little bottles of blood but instead she only took one. She only took one cause she put the needle in the wrong place and literally one or two drops came out. She was like well I hope this is enough blood for them, so I asked her how many she suppose to have and she said two. So I asked her why hell you pull out the needle if you need two, she says you want me poke him again. All I know is im filing a suit against this place. Left my 1 year old with big bruise due to her negligence and not knowing what to do. read more

I chose this location at random to get my sons (one year old) blood work done. I got there early during their lunch break and knocked on the door at 1:05pm as the sign stated outside of the door. The lady inside screamed at me so rudely saying "The door is already open!!" as if I'm suppose to know that with my one year old baby running around everywhere. She was not welcoming, pricked my baby numerous times and gave up. I had to go to another location where they did his blood work under 2 minutes. This location is awful. Customer Service is terrible. If you cannot do babies, there should be a sign that states that instead of wasting my time. Will NOT be returning. Do NOT take your baby here for blood tests!! read more

There is only one person doing lab work and front desk and she's pretty fast and efficient at it. No matter what it's going to be a wait. I've always arrived as soon as it opens at 8am and even with a few people ahead of me I'm out in 30 minutes. It would be better if she had help but she does a really great job. read more

My son went there and the lady poked the needle square angle to the vain on the arm. She had to poke him twice because the blood filled up the tube way too slow. I don't recommend this place especially if you have a little one. I doubt the lady got the proper training to do the job. He had a bruise and the pain for days afterwards. read more

the girl who works here has the clinic very clean and she works by her own so you have to be patient she does her work very quick i love to come here because i always come out fast she closes from 1 to 2 pm for lunch and Wednesdays she will open until 12 pm. read more

This place is very old looking inside throughout the whole building. Need some attention to detail and some upgrades! I have come to this location for years now and it has always been the same lady in there. The lady has always been nice to me, I haven't had any problems. Today I had to take my two little ones to have blood drawn and it always goes by so quickly. She's very fast at getting everyone in and out. There are only four chairs for seating in the front because that's all that will fit. The place is super tiny but it is never packed in there. She also stamps your ticket for parking. Not the best place to be...no one really likes to have blood drawn but if i do I like a place that is quick and easy. read more

First off walking in this places it smelled of urine! I don't know why, but it was disgusting. I gave the girl in front my son's lab slip and she looked at it and said, "I don't do lead tests"..... Really!!!!! What a complete waste of my time. I got off work early to take a chance hoping they were open, since I've called two business days in a row with no answer and not even a recording stating hours. Got here at 8 and there was a line. It wasn't open...call the number several times and asked if they were going to open and they said the worker is running late and should be there shortly. Around 9 I talked to the supervisor and she advice me to go to another location because she wasn't sure how much longer I would have to wait. Don't go here if you don't want to throw up. Yuck, the waste samples of patients are right in front of you while you sit to have blood drawn. - " 1 man band" business : 1 woman who is pletobotomist, who is also a clerk, who is also bathroom key holder ( she may be janitor too !), who is also phone operator, who is also body waste sample collector. - You can smell the waster samples of others while she draw your blood. Very contaminated and supter dirty. Why does it still survive with Health dept.? Any organization we need to report? - Of course she 's rude because she was over multi tasks . She is too busy and not able to change her gloves too, she uses same gloves to open her lab door, restrooom door , same glove to draw blood, same gloves to collect samples and use the phone ! I've been here before and thought coming back would be a breeze but what me and my mom experienced was quiet possible the most miserable experience of health care, I'm pregnant and I required blood work simple enough yet the woman who helped us seemed very irritated to even see me. I gave her all my info and she told me they couldn't see me because of a technicality of my insurance and instead of being helpful and explaining my options she pretty much brushed me off. I called the diamond bar location to ask about the situation and they were so helpful and nice. It's such a shame when people hate their job especially when it's providing a service of importance. Just took my 1year old to get some blood work done. The girl was nice but didn't know how to do her job. She tried twice and got nothing. My boy left with 2 pokes for free. Well... not free I still had to pay $3.00 for parking. So we left with and upset boy and no blood work done. As a parent I was upset she couldn't get it done. They're suppossed to be professionals, they do this everyday. She sent me to another location which I will try soon because I need to get this done. But wasn't happy at all. Dirty, disorganized and unproffesional. Expect a long wait and zero communication. Came at 12:30pm door was locked and no one answered the door. At 1:10pm a person in scrubs came to open the door and said were closed for lunch until 2pm. Gloves and PPE werent changed and hands werent washed until I complained. Used IV catheter on floor. Trash all over floor. Phones don't work. Parking is charged by the minute.No posted sign or online for hours of operation or lunch times. Reminds me of civilian clinics in Afghanistan.
