I went in for a simple blood draw on Saturday, November 22, 2025, and the phlebotomist who worked on me was wearing long designer acrylic nails. This is a direct violation of CDC infection control guidelines that prohibit artificial nails for clinical staff due to the very real contamination risks. It also violates OSHA standards that require employers to provide safe conditions for patients. Her acrylic nails interfered with the procedure and she missed my vein. She caused significant pain and did not acknowledge it, did not apologize, and did not show even basic empathy. Hours afterward the site of the attempted draw was still painful and stinging, which is not normal for a proper venipuncture. The whole interaction felt careless, unprofessional, and unsafe. I left the site shaken and seriously questioning whether Quest has any real oversight at this location. If this is happening openly in front of patients, I do not want to imagine what is happening behind the scenes. I emailed Quest Diagnostics a detailed, formal complaint. I included the appointment code, the location, and the exact issues, along with the specific CDC and OSHA standards that were violated. It has been days and I have received no response at all. No acknowledgment. No follow up. Nothing. Their silence makes the situation even worse. When a company that handles medical samples and patient health information ignores a safety complaint of this seriousness, it tells you everything about their internal culture and priorities. I will now be escalating this beyond Quest directly. I will be filing complaints with the following agencies: * California Department of Public Health * Clinical Laboratory Field Services * OSHA No patient should have to experience this, and no one should be exposed to unsafe practices because a location chooses to ignore basic clinical standards. I would strongly advise looking elsewhere for your lab work until Quest proves that they take safety and accountability seriously.

I figured okay about 5 minutes per person. 3 receptions so I'd figured 15-30 minute wait. I was there waiting over an hour and half. Once I was called I sat there for another 10-15 minutes just verifying information they already had (insurance, address, phone number, etc.) I was given the order and sent to check in with the phlebotomist. That only took about 5 minutes to get done, thank God. However, it only took 5 minutes because they didn't have anyone waiting. So, the problem is not waiting on the phlebotomist, the problem is getting people checked in. Their system or way of checking people in needs to be improved. Too many people waiting and staff acting like no worry in the world or they just don't give a shush! People waiting began to loose their patience and I got the sense that we were on their time.

Either don't accept walk ins or update your wait expectations to be more accurate so that people don't waste an hour or more waiting to never be called. Especially when they charge $8 for parking. Thankfully I know my own insurance because the lady up front tried to charge me $78 when I only actually owed $22. When I got called back, there was one employee on her cell phone the entire time. Just sitting in her chair looking at her cell phone. Maybe that is why it took 55 minutes for my turn. I did give 2 stars instead of one however because the phlebotomist was super quick, and she had a very gentle touch. I was in and out of the back office in less than 5 minutes once they FINALLY called me back there. She was the only good thing about my experience there today

I believe lab runs schemes with doctors who send them patients' blood to be tested there even…read morethough it is out network. This happened three times to me. The first time it happened, the doctor admitted their mistake and paid it, them followed up by sending the next tests to an in-network lab. Then after that the doctor again sent this lab blood to be tested two more times, knowing they are out of network. The lab never informed me that they are out of network, which they need to by law, and proceeded to run the tests. When my insurance didn't pay, because there are out-of-net work, they sent my bill to a collection agency. Corruption all the way.

Thankfully, there weren't any other patients in there. Only one patient was being seen for his labs and he finished when I completed my electronic check in. The receptionist/phlebotomist asked the doctor name to ensure that they have the lab requesition orders in their computer. Everything went smoothly. I was immediately asked to go to station 1. A male phlebotomist handled my blood draw very well. The needle injection was painless and went very smoothly. I was told that I had just missed their morning rush of patients! So I am assuming that it's best to avoid the early hours of business here. There are plenty of parking spaces at this old medical building here on Imperial Highway. I was finished in about 15 minutes.
