Michelle continues to exude professionalism and phenomenal service. Our experience tree was excellent with the best staff you can ever experience in any resort. From bell men Eian and Sergio to exceptional servers Elizabeth and Manny and the amazing Bartender Tim which go out of their way to make sure you are satisfied and happy. The food was incredible and just the beautiful oasis they've created is something special. The music bands were absolutely incredible in the restaurant and also on the boardwalk. We stayed here a day before our Carnival cruise. I was confused with this hotel because it was some…read moreparts that were modern like the lobby but some parts were in DESPERATE NEED OF REPAIR like the elevator!!! We were scared that we would get stuck. We finally figured out that we had to keep the button pushed in order for the elevator to move and for the door to open. There was a storm earlier and there wasn't any cable so we couldn't watch TV and we were not compensated for that inconvenience. The room was semi modern but there was an older heating and cooling system in the room. The linen was clean and the bed was comfy. The shower and bathroom needed some repair but the water was hot and the water pressure was good. My room was pretty tidy however my mother's room was not and she had roaches in here room, she slept in her clothes! They offered free breakfast which was a plus. It was hot and fresh. They have a shuttle that comes to pick you up and take you to the port of Miami for $25 per person, but we didn't use their shuttle service we hired a private one. Overall not a bad stay but this wouldn't be on my top list of places to stay.

Within minutes of entering my room, I found three large roaches. I killed one, and the other two ran across the room--there was no way I could stay the night knowing more were likely hiding. To make matters worse, the room was $250 per night, which is absolute insanity for what turned out to be a full-on roach motel. I reported the issue to the front desk, and while they agreed to refund my money, the situation made me seriously question how dirty this hotel must be to have multiple giant roaches in the room. I'm just glad I got out of there. If you decide to stay here, I strongly recommend doing a thorough inspection of your room, because cleanliness should be the most important part of any overnight stay. I would not recommend this hotel!!!

The bathroom has a huge shower with easy entry and a bench in the back. We didn't use much of the kitchenette, but a full fridge, countertop stove, dishwasher, and microwave would make this a great place to stay! The breakfast is included with lots of hot foods and plenty of pastries and fruit. Unfortunately for our stay, they were having maintenance issues with the close elevator broken down and a horrid smell coming from the hallway in between. The biggest perk though is the proximity to Dania Point. We walked over a few times to enjoy the local restaurants and shopping!

(The protein is usually a pork option, flagging for those with dietary restrictions!) Here's what needed to be better: -our bedding had yellow stains on them. We took them down to the lobby and when we exchanged them the next two sets we were given also had yellow stains! This is a problem that management needs to look into. No guest should sleep on yellow sheets! -The pool was pretty dirty. There were cigarette buts and other debris floating in the pool. It's peak travel season. The hotel should do a better job keeping the pool clean. -ice: there is no ice machines on site. Your fridge has an ice maker in the freezer. Overall for the convenience and price this hotel could be a good option once the hotel irons out the cleanliness issues that I outlined above.

Breakfast is offered in the morning for a charge, but you get a credit towards food if you are a Hilton member with certain levels of status. Be sure to check your hotel folio. Our food credit wasn't initially applied and we had to call to get it applied for a refund after our stay. There is a cruise port shuttle that leaves at two times from the hotel. They charge $20 per person cash. This is a convenient, but time consuming option. The shuttle stops to pick up additional passengers at the Springhill Suites across the street and then will stop at every cruise ship at the port to drop off passengers. Unfortunately our cruise ship with Disney Cruise Line was the last stop. We weren't worried about being late, but we were on the shuttle for 1 hour before we were dropped off. Leave plenty of time if you choose to use the shuttle.
