Arrived at the Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort around 10am right after our cruise and Bianca at the front desk was able to check us into our room. An ocean view king bed on the 15th floor. We unpacked and set out to look around the area and the resort. Ended up spending the afternoon at the Landshark Pool. Very relaxing and staff checking on us occasionally for food and drink needs. We had a pleasant dinner at Margaritaville Restaurant and used the dining passport for a 10% discount. Got food and drinks at the Margaritaville Coffee Shop to start the day. Pleasant staff got the order out quickly considering there were quite a few other guests doing the same thing. Took advantage of the nice morning with a bike ride on the Broadwalk. The hotel's bicycles are basic single speed beach cruisers which are totally adequate for a casual cruise. More of the same at the Landshark pool for more relaxing and dinner again at Margaritaville Restaurant. We were able to get a load of laundry done before our complimentary late checkout @ noon. If I had to knock the hotel, it'd be that two of the three washing machines were out of service. We also got a workout in at the hotel gym before our flight home. Nice spacious facility with a variety of cardio equipment, weight machines, free weights and benches. Again not crowded and able to move freely between the equipment. Staff were very accommodating and always pleasant. Our stay was awesome. Not sure if I'd want to book a stay during Spring Break but for our autumn stay F I V E stars and look forward to returning when in the area.

Margaritaville doesn't miss a single detail = from the parrots embossed on the bed linens, to the whale-tail faucet handles in the bathroom - we were unduly impressed! Every plant, every sign, the insane margarita chandelier in the lobby, each piece of decor placed with deliberate intention. (See photos) Margaritaville resort has so much to offer; from swimming, water slides, a wave simulator, bike rentals, kayaks and other water sports, a fully equipped fitness center, on and on! We were scared that we would get stuck. We finally figured out that we had to keep the button pushed in order for the elevator to move and for the door to open. There was a storm earlier and there wasn't any cable so we couldn't watch TV and we were not compensated for that inconvenience. The room was semi modern but there was an older heating and cooling system in the room. The linen was clean and the bed was comfy. The shower and bathroom needed some repair but the water was hot and the water pressure was good. My room was pretty tidy however my mother's room was not and she had roaches in here room, she slept in her clothes! They offered free breakfast which was a plus. It was hot and fresh. They have a shuttle that comes to pick you up and take you to the port of Miami for $25 per person, but we didn't use their shuttle service we hired a private one. Overall not a bad stay but this wouldn't be on my top list of places to stay.

Within minutes of entering my room, I found three large roaches. I killed one, and the other two ran across the room--there was no way I could stay the night knowing more were likely hiding. To make matters worse, the room was $250 per night, which is absolute insanity for what turned out to be a full-on roach motel. I reported the issue to the front desk, and while they agreed to refund my money, the situation made me seriously question how dirty this hotel must be to have multiple giant roaches in the room. I'm just glad I got out of there. If you decide to stay here, I strongly recommend doing a thorough inspection of your room, because cleanliness should be the most important part of any overnight stay. I would not recommend this hotel!!!

We didn't use much of the kitchenette, but a full fridge, countertop stove, dishwasher, and microwave would make this a great place to stay! The breakfast is included with lots of hot foods and plenty of pastries and fruit. Unfortunately for our stay, they were having maintenance issues with the close elevator broken down and a horrid smell coming from the hallway in between. The biggest perk though is the proximity to Dania Point. We walked over a few times to enjoy the local restaurants and shopping!

(The protein is usually a pork option, flagging for those with dietary restrictions!) Here's what needed to be better: -our bedding had yellow stains on them. We took them down to the lobby and when we exchanged them the next two sets we were given also had yellow stains! This is a problem that management needs to look into. No guest should sleep on yellow sheets! -The pool was pretty dirty. There were cigarette buts and other debris floating in the pool. It's peak travel season. The hotel should do a better job keeping the pool clean. -ice: there is no ice machines on site. Your fridge has an ice maker in the freezer. Overall for the convenience and price this hotel could be a good option once the hotel irons out the cleanliness issues that I outlined above.

The Staff & Check In The check in process was pretty easy and fast. Maria helped me with my check in, and she was very helpful. We had just gotten off our cruise around 8 a.m. on October 17th and arrived at the hotel around 10 a.m. I was disappointed to find out that early check in wasn't an option so we had to wait in the lobby until 3pm with my 1 year old, my family, and all of our luggage. It was pretty stressful because, as you can imagine, a 1 year old isn't going to sit still in a lobby for hours. I took him on a few walks around the property, which helped for a little while until it started raining. Maria was eventually able to get us checked in and into our room, which I really appreciated. Although they were overbooked during our stay, they allowed us to have a late checkout at 2 p.m. for an additional fee, which was extremely helpful. The Shuttle Ride I don't remember the names of our shuttle drivers, but they were very helpful. They dropped us off at the Fort Lauderdale airport, and the ride was fast and smooth. They also helped us unload our luggage from the shuttle, which I appreciated. While we were getting our luggage out of the street they had drove off so I didn't get to tip them. The Room atmosphere & amenities I was honestly shocked by how much I loved the room when we first walked in! It was very spacious and had two large queen beds and a pull out couch, which was perfect for my family of 4. There was a mildew smell in the room whenever we turned the A/C off, so we ended up keeping the A/C running, which made it too cold. The shower had two shower heads one handheld and one stationary. The handheld shower head seemed to be leaking or may not have been tightened properly. When you held it in your hand, the water pressure was pretty low, but when you left it on the hook, the pressure was fine. This may just be a personal preference, but the water also didn't get very hot for me on the first night. Since the room was cold, I really wanted to take a nice hot shower. However, on the day we checked out, the shower water did get much hotter. They also provide complimentary soap, shampoo, and conditioner in the shower, and they smelled SO good! They also provided comp breakfast which had varying hours to accommodate when you stay M-F it's 6am-9am, Sat-Sun-7am-10am. Breakfast was pretty good they offer a variety of options. My favorite thing I love for me and the kids to do is make waffles in the waffle maker! They had a pool that looked really nice. Our short visit didn't allow us to swim though. We would definitely recommend you to stay there.

Breakfast is offered in the morning for a charge, but you get a credit towards food if you are a Hilton member with certain levels of status. Be sure to check your hotel folio. Our food credit wasn't initially applied and we had to call to get it applied for a refund after our stay. There is a cruise port shuttle that leaves at two times from the hotel. They charge $20 per person cash. This is a convenient, but time consuming option. The shuttle stops to pick up additional passengers at the Springhill Suites across the street and then will stop at every cruise ship at the port to drop off passengers. Unfortunately our cruise ship with Disney Cruise Line was the last stop. We weren't worried about being late, but we were on the shuttle for 1 hour before we were dropped off. Leave plenty of time if you choose to use the shuttle.

Sometimes they have shuttles that can take you here so you can avoid the stress of finding parking. I would look into it.
