We stayed here for one night before the start of our cruise and had a great experience. After landing, we called for the airport pickup as instructed and the shuttle arrived in about 15 minutes. The airport was hectic, so we kept an eye out for the SpringHill Suites shuttle van and sign and found it easily. Check-in was fast and smooth. The front desk staff was extremely friendly and even provided us with a welcome bag and water thanks to our Marriott status. I also asked for a recommendation for local Caribbean food and she absolutely nailed it! We stayed in a one-bedroom suite with two beds. The room was spacious with a comfortable couch, kitchenette, and desk area. It's a little dated, but honestly totally acceptable for a beach town. The beds were comfy, pillows were plush, and the AC was on point. The bathroom mirror was also fantastic for doing makeup. The hot breakfast in the morning was just what we needed before heading out, and when we realized we forgot a toothbrush they kindly provided one right away. Overall, we'd definitely stay here again because of the friendly staff, great lobby vibe, spacious rooms, and overall convenience. The only downside was the pool closing at 8pm. We enjoyed this place. My sister and I had to meet up for a family funeral. I booked it a couple of days in advance with Hilton points. It was a fair deal. They have a free airport shuttle. Going back to the airport they make a few stops, so leave an extra hour early if it's tight. The free hot breakfast was okay. Kind of bland. But the coffee was good. Hello from Florida! It's the night before our cruise and we needed a place to stay, so here we are! Let's get into it! Firstly, I am a little frustrated at the misinformation on the website. I ubered to the hotel, because the site said there was no airport shuttle, but this was not the case. It was frustrating to pull in and see a shuttle station ($16 I won't get back!). Turns out the shuttle is fully operating. Next, I waited quite a bit at the check in counter because there was no staff in the lobby. Once someone came out, she was friendly and even had my room ready early! Currently, only one elevator is working, so it was a bit of a wait to get up to my floor. The room was clean enough and the AC was KICKIN'! There were definitely some questionable couch stains and an odd stickiness to the rug, but at least the suite smelled good! The shower is surprisingly nice and I appreciated the full sized toiletries. I spent most of my day at the pool, waiting for the rest of my party to arrive. I had a great time! The area was clean and there was lots of space to relax! While the front desk staff was sparse, there were maintenance workers everywhere! Nice to see that they are keeping the outdoor amenities nice for the guests! All in all this is a good option if you need a quick one-nighter before your cruise. Booked one night after a cruise. Arrived early morning and was able to eat breakfast as soon as we arrived. Luis - working front desk was very polite and efficient and got us into a room with an early check in very quickly. I started reading reviews and got a little nervous as there was mention of roaches and bed bugs months earlier. We found our room to be clean, comfortable and completely bug free. Hello, I'm a Hilton honors gold member and decided to stay here for a night before and after our cruise. The first night was smooth from checking in all the way until we checked out. The second night we stayed we were placed in rm 206 or 207 and discovered roaches along the tv stand and kitchen area as we were packing up to check out. The main reason I booked this hotel was that they had free shuttles to/from the airport. I called the hotel when we landed, said we had a party of 6, they told me the shuttle would be there in 20 minutes. 35 minutes later a guy shows up and says he can only take 4 of us. I called the hotel and Samuel said he'd send another driver and he would be there in 10 minutes. 18 minutes later we get our ride, a beat up old van. When we got to the hotel, I saw in the parking lot they have 2 nice looking vans sitting there, yet Sierra told me they weren't theirs (even though they had the hotels name AND address on them). Neither Samuel or Sierra made any apologies. The next morning, I had no confidence in all that the van would show up so my family spent the money and took an Uber to the airport. read more

Hotel was clean and comfortable and located in a quiet, safe and convenient area. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. I noticed there was a security guard walking around. Although the room was clean I did notice that the conditioner and the box of tissues was not replenished prior to our check in. There were also a few times that there were no towels in the pool area. Pool was clean. Where this hotel loses points for me is the breakfast. Home 2 Suites is our preferred hotel and we have stayed at many across the country. One of the things we love is that they have decent breakfast. This breakfast was the worst of the ones I have been to. The scrambled eggs were watery and cut up almost like riced eggs not edible. The tater tots tasted like they were still frozen or had frost bite. There was no one there being attentive to the breakfast area to replenish things as they run out so it was almost like when its gone its gone unless you are going to track someone down for help. The pool is incredible along with the fitness facility. This place is located near everything from restaurants to bars and shopping. The rooms are large and spacious. The beds are very comfortable. I've traveled a lot both independently for work and many times with my family, staying at Hilton hotels almost exclusively. I have never experienced a hotel as bad as this one. So much so that I decided to write a review. This is from several aspects, from the customer service to the rooms and the hotel services. Check-in: Early check in was unavailable in the app by the time we were trying to get it, so we figured we'd swing by the hotel (earlier than the 3pm check in time) to see if our room was ready a little early. I walked in at about 1pm and went to the front desk where I was barely greeted after standing in a short line. I asked the woman if early check-in was available for my room, and she said no. It's not available at all there. Ok cool. So I asked her if it was ready early could she let me know? She said "Check-in is at 3" and that was it. I then asked her if my room will be ready right at 3 and all she said was "yes." I thanked her, to which I received no response, and walked away to speak with my family. I then went back to the desk and she was gone, but another employee was there. He ended up being the manager but I didn't know this at the time. He was very polite when I asked if we could store our bags there while we shopped around, and he obliged. Fast forward to 2:45pm, we pull into the parking lot and I wait until 2:55 to go in. There's a long line, and everybody is frustrated. The original woman helping me was still there, as well as the manager next to here. Both speaking with customers about their rooms not being ready yet. 3pm hits, and nobody's rooms are ready. The lobby is quite chaotic at this point with people waiting for their rooms, and all the staff said was "We were fully booked last night so we're busy." By the time I got up to the desk, Marica was who was helping me. Or I should say NOT helping me. I went up to the desk and reminded her of our conversation earlier, and she simply said "I'm out of rooms, they haven't released any more to me." I again reminded her that she guaranteed my room would be ready at 3. She said the same statement again and walked to the back, leaving me there. A few minutes later another employee came up to the desk and clocked in, proceeded to try to help me. After looking at our reservation, our room was available! We walk through the hotel to the elevators, and one out of the two of them is seemingly broken. So we get into the small elevator and go up to our floor, and find our room. It seemed like all they did was make the beds and wipe down the counters to clean it. It was quite gross. Under the cabinets there were open beverage containers. The carpet and the couch was stained and the room had an odor. The bedsheets had water rings on them from old stains. There were only two towels in the room as well. The maintenance on everything was extremely lacking too. We unpacked, figuring we could deal with it because it was only for one night. After we got settled we needed to do some laundry from traveling. This was a mistake! The washers worked fine, but we had to dry our clothes in the dryer at least 3-4 times per load! And the machines cost money, so it was an expensive laundry experience. We were doing laundry for about 5 hours total that night. We also setup the couch bed for our kids during this time, and instead of bedsheets and an extra blanket and pillow in the closet area like literally every hotel has, the plastic bag had trash in it. The next morning we didn't even want to think about having breakfast at this place, but my daughter wanted to get something to eat really quick before we started our day. My wife went downstairs to see what they had, and everything looked gross. My daughter still wanted something though, so she went down (prior to breakfast being over) and all the food was gone! As it was getting close to check out and prior to us checking out, one of the housekeepers knocked on our door to ask us if we were leaving! Before check out time! During our stay and while checking out, walking through the hallways of this place isn't fun. You can't tell who the staff is because nobody wears uniforms or name tags except for the front desk. The housekeepers left their carts in the middle of the hallways and just looked at us as we're trying to get ourselves and our bags past them. Didn't move their card or help us move it, just stared at us for a minute then went back to "cleaning" the rooms. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, they have a lot of work to do before they should even be called part of the Hilton brands. I'm so disappointed in this because we understand being busy, having delays, and having issues while traveling. That happens. But the condition of the hotel, the attitudes and lack of customer service from the staff, and the terrible day-to-day operations are what concerns us. They charge whatever they want! I travel for work and spend months on the road. Normally can get thru anything! This place is ran by absolute morons. Nothing works everything is broke service is non existent. Place is full of bed bug and cockroaches! $93 they charge me $128 and called the police after I extended my stay and didn't want to switch rooms! This place is the worst place I've ever stayed. I've stayed at Ecolodges better than this place. Staff is the most incompetent people you'll ever come in contact with! I'm working 12 hours a day I don't have time to move rooms every other week! Like I can just run over there and pack up and switch room because you're too incompetent to not rent the room I've been in for over a month!!! I am a Hilton Honors member. I have never been treated as such in the past. Or experienced the rooms being as dirty and nasty as this hotel. Once we arrived, check in was smooth however, the room they put us in was dirty seats were nasty with stains. The bed did not have a bed skirt. (I wish I would have taken more pictures.) It showed the dirty boxspring. So then I called down and advised that the room was nasty and I requested them to move us. Room number two: I was walked up with the front desk clerk the room we went in was clearly being used as someone was occupying it so we walked in on someone. Then she immediately spoke to the manager that was on the floor. He gave us another room. The third room had stains or blood on the skirt. (See pics) Both skirts were nasty at this point. I was ready to leave the hotel however they asked that I wait, and he went and found us another room, which was room number four. Once I open the door of that room, it seemed cleaner so we stayed in that room. I feel like the wait time they had me sitting and waiting in the lobby as they checked other guest in they treated me as if I wasn't a Hilton Honors member, I should not have had to wait almost 2 hours after I checked in. How do they expect people to stay in a unclean rooms? This is the first BAD experience I've ever had with the Hilton. I WILL NEVER STAY at the Home2 Suites by Hilton Ft. Extremely disappointed with this Hilton. Had called days before to make sure I would have a crib/pack n play for my baby. We checked in and going into our room only to realize that there was no provide pack n play or a crib. Called the front desk to ask for one to be delivered up to the room. Get a call back in a couple of minutes later only to be told they were all in use. So I asked for a second linen set for the pull out couch where I could sleep and my wife sleep with the toddler. Took over 30 minutes for the linen to be delivered. I'm pretty laid back and rarely say anything but I was pretty pissed at this point and it being later into the evening. The rooms look like a 1980's style old home. This hotel needs a major overhaul so bad, even the elevator (that was working) had literal duct tape around the seam of it to hold it into place. *UNSAFE AND LACKS SECURITY* This was my first time staying in the hotel in this location. The overall team member interactions were pleasant and they did just enough to ensure my stay inside the room was ok. I checked into the room around 8pm and was in the room for the entire night. I drove my own car and parked in the front of the hotel, not worrying about anything due to where the hotel is located. Being right off I-95 this is close to the airport and makes it very convenient. Where it went horrobly wrong was when I checked out. After I had checked out of the hotel I walked to my car to see that someone had hit and damaged the front of my car and left. I went to the front desk to let them know and they said " We do not have cameras outside so theres nothing we can do." They told me to call the police and I did as instructed. After they came I was left with no solution and a damaged car that was parked in a very visble spot. I understand that things happen and it's very often that hotel will post signs that read "Park at your own risk" . The very alarming fact is that this hotel is right off of I-95 and rather tucked away. There are two other hotels on both sides of this hotel and they do have cameras. Home Suites in Fort Lauderdale Air does nit have cameras making their parking lot very unsafe and very easy for burglars to break into cars and damage them WITH NO consequences. If you arrive after dark and are exiting your car you are definitely at risk of being robbed or attacked, again with NO CAMERAS to over look the parking lot it makes it the perfect place to commit illegal acts and get away with it. If you drive your own car or rental car you should know that your car is not in a safe space and you are a very high risk of theft and damage. It raises alot of red flags especially with human trafficking and the adjacency to the interstate. In the end the hotel did not try to reassure me of anything or even attempt to make it right. Staying here cost me and additional $1200 that I am stuck having to pay. The other hotels near this one does have cameras and should put customers at ease. Now if you are not driving or keeping a car on property you are fine..... But if you go outside after dark you should know that once you leave the front door of this hotel you are at risk of your safety. I highly advise that you look into other hotels in the area that have better security and offer a sense of safety. This hotel does not. read more

This place was so clean, friendly staff, and room was twice as big than normal motel. It was so much better than place we were staying at in Miami. Pool was open, room was clean and ready upon arrival. Wifi work, got a nice little kitchen along with working fridge, the stay was so worth the money we all paid for it. My crew of 6 stayed here 4 days and 3 nights to attend the Florida Supercon at the Ft. Lauderdale Convention Center. Hotel is newer and accommodations were the Hilton quality I have come to expect. This was my first time at this Home2 Suites brand and I was impressed with its approach to "green" living. Our room was the 2 Queen bed studio which came complete with a sofa bed, LG flatscreen tv, extremely generous cabinetry, pull out dining table, fridge with freezer, dishwasher, microwave, cutlery, plates, bowls, mugs, glasses, toaster, cutting board, cooking utensils, etc. while the bathroom was a bit tight, the walk in shower was spacious. Our room was right by the elevator on the 6th floor and noise from the foot traffic was non-existent. Kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool along with the small waterfall feature. They don't always have the waterfall on, so just ask if you want it on. There are 2 gas grills right by the pool and we saw people use them every night we were there. Breakfast provided several options: toast, bagels, English muffins, donuts, an array of heat and eat breakfast sandwiches, omelets, frittatas, boiled eggs, oatmeal with a variety of add-ins (chocolate chips, raisins, brown sugar, cranberries, other dried fruits and granolas, etc), cereals, buckwheat multi-grain waffles, yogurt, milk, juices, coffee and tea. One day, they even had biscuits and gravy. Breakfast ends at 1030a on weekends and 9a on weekdays. Standard wifi connectivity was great with no connectivity or lagging issues... not sure what paying for "premium" would have gotten me. Service was on point-- all the staff were so kind and extremely helpful. Only con was that my digital key wouldn't work despite being reset. Would stay here again the next time I'm in town. read more

This place is like a motel 6 that serves breakfast. The breakfast set up is horrible. The staff is the worst staff at a hotel ever. The front desk agents are so rude, not hospitable at all. The lady "princess" is what her name tag said- needs to reconsider her career choice. She hates her job and makes it obvious. The hotel was clean and presented itself nicely at check in. The room was efficient for my group of 6. The laundry facility was clean and the check in desk clerk even accommodated my girls when the dryer didn't work well. I did however see and kill 2 roaches in the bathroom which I would have excused accept for the morning clerk's attitude. The room was booked and paid for on app by my sister and my name was clearly on the reservation as well. We stayed here the night before our cruise out of Miami as we came in after midnight at the Ft. Lauderdale airport. Immediately impressed by the newness of the look and the cleanliness of the entry. Staff was quick to get us our room which was much appreciated. Got to the room on the first floor and everything looked great at first. Kitchen area was well stocked although it looked ready for 10 people. First knock was the bedspread and sheets which looked like it was heisted from a hotel 30 years older. Next up, and this was its big downfall was the noisy air-conditioner. You absolutely need one here in Florida so we couldn't turn it off but it made sleep almost impossible every time it went off. Sounded like a train running outside the window. Got to the boat throughly exhausted from the lack of sleep. The customer service here is some of the worst I have ever experienced! I booked months in advance and paid fully for my 2 nights with a combination of my Alaska rewards points and credit card payment. Waking up after my first night in the hotel, I received an email from them thanking me for my stay (I still had one more night left). The email also said it had charged my mastercard for one night's accommodation, the card I had swiped for incidentals. Imagine my alarm as I had already pre paid! I went down to the front desk and the clerk was (very rudely) adamant that my mastercard had not been charged, despite the email stating such that I had received that morning. So, I left it at that assuming it would fall off and was a temporary charge. However, my credit card statement later showed that this charge was in fact charged and fully processed. I called the hotel and they told me they couldn't help me. I then emailed the general manager Paola, with all my proof, who never even responded. So, I went to Alaska Rewards, and the hotel wouldn't even deal with them - they had to refund me themselves, even though Home2suites were the ones who TOOK my money. This is blatant theft. Shame on them for not refunding me, and forcing Alaska to do so. Thankfully Alaska's customer service was top notch and they made things right, but they shouldn't have had to. I will avoid all Hilton owned properties for my stays and planning business conferences in the future because of this thievery. I can never trust them with my money again. read more

Came down and spent the night before flying out of FLL. 1st-Great location! Close proximity to the airport 2nd-Large rooms! Rooms are spacious and offers full refrigerator and microwave, the bed and sheets were great as well! 3rd-Great customer service! 4th-Free breakfast was just ok. It's great if you have to travel someplace where you can use a microwave (grab and go) as they offer microwave omelettes and breakfast sandwiches. Selection was just ok. Not far from Cruise port! Rooms were large and clean. We probably were there on a busy weekend. But being on the 5th floor we had youth running and screaming all night long down the hallways. We called the front desk and they said they would handle it- but nothing stopped. Also the shuttle to the cruise port was very disorganized and the front desk staff didn't help at all with getting it figured out. They simply said "go out side and wait." The lobby itself was really clean and nice. The front desk staff lacked customer service. From checkin when we needed an extra key. The gentleman working was nice, the lady however didn't want anything to do with us. We checked in around 7 and checked out at 4:45am. We walked out onto the 4th floor and the halls were so hot, we were sweating before we got to our rooms. The room itself thermostat was set to 67. Problem was you could turn the thermostat up, down, off or on and nothing changed. We had one towel, face cloth and hand towel for a king suite. 2 pillows, one spoon and 5 knives and no forks. The toilet had pee/ toilet paper in it and the room smelled like ammonia (dog pee). We just need a place to stay before catching our flights and yes I got the team member price, but I've never been treated like that or had a room that dirty since staying at no-tell motels when I was 18. My husband asked the lady downstairs for three more pillows and she told him to look in the room for others. So there weren't any and she was not interested in sending any up after we already went down there to ask. read more

March 20, 2023 we checked into Home2 S.W. 19th court, Dania Beach, Fl. My daughter walked in first to get a price of $269.97, included was a $50.00 deposit. I told my daughter that was to steep. So, I ended up going inside because the desk clerk was willing to negotiate. I ended up with a price of $169.97. after tax I would receive my $50.00 deposit. The Price came to $190. My room number was 416 on top of that the desk clerk gave us check out time of 12:00 instead of 11:00. When we arrived to the room and pulled back the bed covers part of our observation. The bed looked untidy as if someone had pulled the covers over a slept in bed. I went to ask the desk clerk "to give us new bed sheets and we would make the beds ourselves." The clerk's reply was "No I'll give you a new room." The clerk gave me room number 603. After, an 8-hour drive and being exhausted the room was larger than room 416. We noticed a marijuana smell was in the room. Too tired to go all the way back downstairs we tried to go to sleep. By the next morning the smell was potent enough to bring it to the desk clerk's attention. I went downstairs to inform the desk clerk to no avail. I requested to speak to the hotel manager. After a bout almost 10 minutes, a lady walks over near me she never identified herself, then a guy came to the front desk, and she beckoned him over. She called his name Josh, on his badge was Jiekim. So before I could explain he said, "Our rooms are clean, and no one smokes in our hotel." I said I have pictures. Once they saw the pictures, they were explaining that "the sheets just needed to be ironed." I said, "the bed was untidy." Once we arrived at room 603, they kept saying "we don't smell any marijuana." "There is no smell in here." After, we arrived back to the front desk they continued to repeat themselves. I asked for a paper to write a statement. I did. I also called the corporate office and explained to them everything written above. Corporate office said they "do not tolerate that type of behavior." I was giving a case number and he would "forward my complaint to the general manager." "Someone will get in touch with me." No one has contacted me. I asked if "I should give a copy of my statement to the hotel manager? She said "no." So, I called corporate back and they told me, that "the hotel smelled marijuana, however, they didn't charge me the $250.00 for the smell. read more

The staff simply is overwhelmed and under trained. Management at this hotel has given up on customer service as a viable business strategy. It boggles the mind that Hilton is able to claim this as a property. The breakfast is chaotic at best. Messy and food thrown up carelessly for the people to grab. The front desk staff constantly is arguing and bullying any customer. The overriding sentiment expressed by the staff is one of "You don't like it, then leave! Go elsewhere because we do not need you here!" It is true throughout the hotel industry that housekeeping is no longer embraced. But here at this hotel they really leave you in your room to fend for yourself. They never show up and if they do they do the absolute minimum they can do. The hotel makes a minimal effort to maintain the rooms. Our room had faucets in disrepair and other fixtures barely on the wall. Management simply does not care about the guest experience. They do not need to. The hotel is full of drunk disorderly people stopping by for a night at a time to then jump on a cruise. It is not a good choice. read more

Stayed here pre cruise April-14-15 The hotel is great, staff, room, facilities I have nothing that I can say negative about this property I would like some restaurants within walking distance, we took Uber to Millers Ale House and back to the hotel. Definitely not a deal breaker from staying here again When I cruise from Port Everglades again, I don't need to research where to stay Home2Suites would be my choice again read more

This is a new hotel and this place is a must stay if you are staying awhile in Fort Lauderdale area. The beds are VERY comfortable and the showers are amazing. I like that the rooms are fully equipped kitchen with full-size refrigerator, dishes, dishwasher, microwave and flatware. We were able to save a couple of bucks by eating at the hotel. read more

This hotel is in a very bad neighborhood and there are no pedestrian walk ways to cross the streets and eat out. This hotel is a food desert so bring food if you are unfortunate enough to stay here. When we left the elevator stopped, we were crammed with people, the heat kept building up, our calls (call button) to the front desk were ignored because the staff member was busy checking people in. Wishing we had crow bars and sledge hammers the doors finally opened, scary...very scary...I now have a new phobia of elevators. read more

Maybe my expectations were low, but I really liked this hotel. Maybe it was new... not sure but everything looked fresh. The lobby, halls, and rooms were exceptionally clean. There is a divider between the sofa and beds. The bathrooms were nice as well. The customer service rep at the front desk was very professional and knowledgeable. When we first arrived to the room, the door was sealed with a sticker indicating it was recently cleaned and sanitized. All staff wore masks. Finally, I've stayed at 3 hotels that offered breakfast during COVID and this one, by far, offered the best breakfast (breakfast sandwich, yogurt, juice, coffee). Since there is a kitchenette in the room, you can heat up food in the room. Conveniently located near the expressway. If I go on a cruise, I will definitely stay here again. read more
