1/31/21 Had an absolutely wonderful time here. This hotel has a cozy boutique feel. The rooms are very comfortable, clean, modern, & elegant. We also loved the beachfront patio & adorable tiki bar.The staff are wonderful. Jeannie, the manager is super nice & accommodating. You are right on the beach in comfort and class. My family is planning to book here again. Can't wait to come back.

We like this hotel very much!!! It's near the beach with everything inside the unit. Living room with all equipment , kitchen, bathroom , TV. The only one it could be problem with parking. And street parking will be about $25 for 8 hours.

Funky Buddha Floridian - The Perfect place for the "Floridian"

This review is for the Tiki Bar at the Walkabout Beach Resort. This tiki bar which is located in the perfect setting on Hollywood Beach is a gem! The bartender is super friendly and so are the bar guests. They offer daily drink specials which is an extra perk. I opted for the Funky Buddha Floridian Beer on this hot and sunny Sunday. I am not usually a beer drinker but the Funky Buddha Floridian puts a change to that, it's a mild fruity beer and is truly a delight. Let's talk about the setting, as you sit at this cute little tiki bar you are overlooking the ocean, the beautiful beach and the Broadwalk of Hollywood. I can't think of a better place to visit, and recharge, on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon.

Beautiful stay! We had 5 days vacation at this hotel with my mom. We had 2 separate rooms, with 2 separate beds (bed and big folded sofa). Just 2 steps from the beach, we enjoy the ocean view the whole day! Staff is very friendly, answer all the questions, answer e mails fast. Would be stay here again next year!

My fiancé Took me here for an engagement getaway and it was absolutely wonderful! The staff was so friendly and happy for us. When we checked in, there was a bottle of champagne and a beautiful bouquet of red roses in the living room. There's a little kitchen, dining room, beautiful bathroom with a mosaic tile floor, and a separate bedroom from the living room. It's well furnished and would be able to sleep 4 comfortably (there's a sleeper sofa). The entire staff knew who we were and helped keep the celebration going all weekend with out of this world customer service. The Tiki Bar is great! it's a locals' favorite, with friendly patrons always there and a welcoming bartender. I wouldn't change a thing. They even recommended other places to eat along the beach! This place is the epitome of old Florida Charm. A perfect getaway, even if it's just a staycation. Plus, it's like 10 steps from the beach!

Stayed here for three nights on a family vacation and the view to the beach is AMAZING . This is the beach strip to relax and soak up the sun. The reason I gave it a 3 stars is because it didn't have a pool, jacuzzi, bbq or a kitchen and food there can be pricey (as well I was told all keys are accessible to all rooms?!?! What happened to privacy)

We had an absolute blast at this resort! We traveled as a family of three - husband, wife and…read moredaughter (8) The resort is located right on the beach unlike others that are across the street or require walking. It's also situated right on the boardwalk so you can easily take a nice walk in the morning, grab a quick scoop of ice cream (like 10 spots to choose from), shop for souvenirs or shirts and grab a quick diner. This made our stay super convenient because everything we needed was there! Most of the restaurants on the boardwalk are more fast casual with lots of Italian options. This worked well for our family because 2/3 of us are vegetarian. We did find a really nice upscale restaurant called GG's waterfront and it was only a two block walk from our hotel so not Ubers were needed. This made our trip to be honest. We love high end restaurants with fresh/quality food and this check every box. It's also situated for the most incredible sunset. So make sure you go. As for food the rest of the trip - for breakfast we just grabbed a Sammy from the coffee shop inside the hotel and they had some good options. Breakfast Sammie's, burritos (pre made but they warm them), fruit bowls, yogurt bowls, you name it. Then for lunch we always ate at the pool an really looked forward to it. This friend shrimp was outta this world and it's served with honey mustard which was so yummy. Prolly some of the best fried shrimp I've ever eaten at a pool. The we always got the cedar salad which was refreshing and we all split it. The only thing I wish they had more of was a nice guac - I'm talking with nice additions and super fresh / tasty. Then for diner we ate at the resort two nights - once on the upper desk restaurant overlooking the love music so we could hear it but not be in the action. The weekend nights are a little rowdy for our daughter. We were able to watch some sports on the outdoor tvs, listen to live music, watch the FlowRider and eat. The food was not great to be honest but the ambiance was incredible. Then one night we ate at the steakhouse at the property. Service was weird just felt awkward lol. But the food was good. The deviled eggs were top notch and some of the deserts. For drinks we always grabbed a South Sode gin drink from the coffee shop. If you like gin then it's a must. And at the pool our daughter lived on strawberry daiquiris (virgin) and we drank 1 pina colada (so much sugar) a day and then switched to mojitos (less sugar). We loved all the pool servers but they could prolly double the service at the pool bc people were kind of always waiting. Cabanas - we got a cabanas two of the days and it was incredible. It includes credit towards food and if you get one with a working tv you can watch tv. The NCAA tournaments were on so we got the cabanas two of the days we wanted access to the to each the games. It was also nice to have space and shade to relax. Treat yourself once day and grab one. FlowRider - WTF this was so cool! We're new to this and it was so fun for older kids. Our daughter was (8) did it two days and loved it. The instructors are so kind and helpful to those trying to learn. One of the trainers is in the top ten of all FlowRiders in the US. I did see some adults doing it but with a bad back we didn't want to risk it. The rooms were nice and cozy. We had one king and then ordered a pull away for our daughter. We do wish that they had more rooms with additional beds for the kids. Even the suites didn't include more beds. We prefer two kings, or king and a pull out and last resort would be two queens. I think they could def make the rooms better suitable for families. Construction - this was the only frustrating part to the end of our vacation. The last two days ( during spring break ) they were door construction right by the main pool and it was so loud that one of the days we had to leave the pool. Just seems like a really weird time to do construction The other negative was the main pool didn't have entertainment any of the days we were there (Saturday (night) - Thursday). It would have been nice to have some trivia, live music, or something. Also, for anyone else wondering if Margaritaville is child friendly it certainly is. They have a dedicated pool for kids with a small water slide, waterfall and activities. However, our daughter didn't want to hang out in the "baby pool" so we stayed at the main pool which had older kids and some other smaller kids. I'd say a majority of the people at the main pool were older kids and adults. Overall we would certainly come back to this hotel as we really enjoyed our stay!

Room wasn't up to cleanliness standards. Broken ironing board. Carpet had MULTIPLE stains. The building has too much wasted space. The lobby is grand and enormous for NO reason. Couldn't get into the gym. Daily resort fee, even if you don't use their "amenities." Oh, don't sit on the lobby furniture. It's as filthy as the carpet in the room I stayed in. We heard about Beachside Village Resort and were lucky enough to secure a 1 bedroom suite. The room was perfect, staff was the best I have ever seen at a resort and they truly thought of every detail here. Everything is super convenient and the location is perfect- walking distance to the main strip. The attention to detail here did not go unnoticed. Kudos to Domenica and her staff! The staff really knows and cares about your stay on a personal level. The wifi worked great here (I was working remote and had no issues). They have free beach chairs and umbrellas, great cabanas with outlets, water and drinks in the lobby, towels, sun protection, bikes, tons of other beach activities, laundry and just anything you could need. We actually decided to extend our trip a couple days because we just did not want to leave. We changed to a 2 bedroom suite and that room was even better! They were so accommodating in extending us last minute. My only complaint which is barely a complaint would have to be the comfort of the pullout couch which we were warned about when booking so it was expected. We made it work but were much more comfortable in our 2 bed suite. Overall, I have nothing but positive things to say about this place and I can't recommend it enough. We were so impressed with everything and already can't wait to come back!

We arrived around 9 am after our cruise, and our assigned upgraded room (suite) was not ready. The front desk receptionist, Dominique, was most helpful and gave us 5 star service in looking for a room with a balcony that was available for us. She found one and upgraded us to an ocean front. It was truly the BEST ocean front room we have ever had in Ft Lauderdale and Miami. I would have loved to stay longer just to enjoy the view more. We had a mini-suite, versus the regular suite which would not have had the balcony. Room 1715. Big shower, comfortable sitting chair, large balcony with cushioned chairs and table, Lavazza coffee, ironing board. We were so close, we could hear the ocean waves. Pool was fine. Hot tub. By the pool were cushioned lounge chairs and umbrellas, but some of the cushions were flat. A pool attendant said new cushions were on order for next year, so it would be better. A shout-out to the pool attendant who dragged over a different chair with a cushion that had some cushion left in it for me. She was genuinely nice. There was also a separate section of chairs facing a wall closer to the bathroom, so if it was crowded, you would still be able to get a chair but not with a cushion. I liked the fitted towel covers they put over the chairs. It was chilly and windy when we were there, so I asked for an extra chair cover to use as a blanket. Periodically, the attendants came by with chilled water, frozen fruit. The pool-side service was excellent. Different servers may come by asking if you need anything or to pick up your dishes, since they work as a team. The hamburger and fries was delicious ($35). Chicken tenders were pretty good. The alcohol drinks were $20. I liked the non-alcoholic mango daiquiri. ' I highly recommend making reservations at Takata, Japanese restaurant at the hotel. It got packed later and everything was absolutely delicious - one of the best dinners in Ft Lauderdale we have had in over 20 years. It is also open for breakfast. I had the avocado toast which was okay. Down the street in the shopping center is a CVS. We have stayed in a number of Ft Lauderdale hotels over the years for a cruise. The outstanding service from Dominique at the front desk to the pool attendants and servers, the Takata server all were phenomenal. The room was incredible and we appreciated the generous supply of Lavazza coffee and microwave. We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Conrad, and it will be at the top of our list next time we are in Ft Lauderdale.

The yellow water coming from the faucet was especially concerning and looked very strange. After checking into our room, we waited 40 minutes for our luggage to be delivered. The pool is extremely small, overcrowded with children, and closes at 6 PM, which honestly makes no sense for a resort-style hotel -- I've never experienced that anywhere else. The valet parking is also extremely overpriced. Overall, this hotel is absolutely not worth the money they charge.

The only reason I even found out was because I called ahead to let them know I'd be checking in later due to dinner plans. That's when the staff informed me my reservation had been canceled on the 16th--four days before my stay. When I asked why, I was told the reason was "CONFIDENTIAL" (yes, seriously). Meanwhile, my credit card was still charged and no refund had been issued. I called back and got a different staff member who was dismissive, tried to rush me off the phone, and repeatedly gaslit me by saying I had a "prebooked rate"--as if booking a room three weeks in advance is somehow a valid reason to cancel it. Eventually, I was transferred to the "resolution department," which seems to exist for situations exactly like this--where they cancel lower-rate bookings so they can resell the room at a higher price. The representative I spoke with tried to help but wouldn't rebook the room unless I provided the exact rate I originally paid. When I attempted to pull it up, my banking app wouldn't allow screenshots due to security restrictions. At that point, with no place to stay and my card already charged, I was stuck. Thankfully, my in-laws stepped in and booked another (non-refundable) room for us, otherwise we would have been completely stranded. To sum it up: Hilton canceled my reservation after taking my money, gave no notice, issued no refund, and did it solely to resell the room at a higher price. They refused to explain the real reason and then tried to sell me the same room at double the rate. If it weren't for my in-laws stepping in, we quite literally would have been left without a place to stay in Fort Lauderdale--not to mention this completely ruined my wife's birthday.
