So thankful for Nathan who was so quick and ready to help ! We had our passenger headlight go out and we had gotten the driver side fixed at autozone about two weeks ago but they couldn't help with this one. Took it to Tire works and they wanted to charge over 300 bucks, really ?! Called Sun Auto and Nathan was like "just bring it here and I'll fix it" just so sweet and right to the point. The mechanic was quick and customer service was so awesome. Thanks guys you really are a HUGE help seriously !!! read more

Just called and asked for a Dexos oil change and was hung up on when I told him the dealership is offering that oil change for $50, instead of $59 as Sun Auto was offering, but I appreciate the info. Enjoy your one star review, kind sir. I can only imagine how this shop operates if this is how they treat potential new customers! read more

They way overcharge based on their pricing model in their computer, whether or not it is accurate. They charge based on what their computer says, and NOT the actual time it takes to perform. Not to mention, they charge maximum possible price, regardless of whether a co-existing repair would cut down the time for another repair due to potential opportunity cost (ie - one repair makes easier access to another repair, which should decrease the total time spent on the 2nd repair). They gouge as much as they can! I'm not going back here... read more

Yes I did return to the shop. They fixed the start problem. Said the six month old battery with a 5 year warranty was the problem. Not!!! Checked the DVD player and ordered without approval. When picking up. Told person I'm not interested in paying a second deductible in a week he said I was responsible for a restocking fee! On a part I did not order or authorize. I asked for a receipt on work done. I was told I would get it Friday when I do the dvd. I said not interested in that. He threw a receipt on the counter and said have have a good one man!!! If you want to ruin your day and get more problems than you started with!! Head on over to this place!! They are waiting to screw you!!! read more

I've been using Sun Auto for a few years now for oil changes. The gentlemen at the front are always courteous and friendly and the service is pretty quick. Today, they went above and beyond to help me. Thank you for supporting teachers. You have no idea what your kindness meant to me. read more

I cannot say enough great things about this location. I have been here twice for issues with my vehicle that were covered under my warranty, and now I am making them our household's permanent mechanic location. I was there over a year ago when my heater went out on my car and was very pleased then. This time, when fixing my rack and pinion I was even more impressed. Vince new my name when I walked through the door and I hadn't even been there for over a year! This was huge brownie points in my book. They fixed my car quickly, and with a smile. Black Betty drives even smoother now than she did when I first took her in. Telling everyone about the Henderson location. Even though I want to keep it my own little secret lol. read more

I had a great experience at Sun Auto! I came in for an oil change and Randy and Mario were super helpful. They made the process so easy and the service was quick. I recommend this place if you want quick and great service! read more

These guys are great. Good communication and excellent service/value. I was in a pinch with an alternator that went out on a Saturday afternoon (leaving the next day to go home). Mario (front office) and Rocco (mechanic/lube-tech) went way over and above to help get my Honda Pilot fixed before the trip. They stayed late (and ate into the start of their weekend) to make sure the job was done and done right. As a dad, about to cross the dessert with my wife and our 4 young children - this level of service/sacrifice is greatly appreciated! Thank you both so much! If you're looking for a good shop, I highly recommend you give Sun Auto Service a chance. read more

If you like getting taken advantage of, this is the place for you. I had to get my 2010 Lexus ISF towed here because a caliper bolt on the drivers side came off causing the caliper to rub on the rotor. I decided to get the bolts replaced on both front calipers. 6 bolts to be replaced. Should be an easy, painless, cheap thing to do right? Nope. I had to actually go in their garage and show them what was wrong after telling them the problem in detail - red flag since the problem was as clear as day. After an hour just to replace 6 bolts, they charged me over $200. I believe it was $230-$260. They knew I couldn't take my car elsewhere since it couldn't drive, so they took complete advantage of me and charged me $200+ to replace 6 SIX bolts. Nothing more, nothing less. Avoid this shop. read more

The old shop I took our family vehicles to for 15 year's sold owner retired. Didn't get a good feeling from new owners.Had look for a new place, decided to try Sun Auto (Stephanie). Close to a year ago brought me wife's for her schedule maintenance. The manager Robert and the staff are polite and professional they know what need to be done on your maintenance explain it to you up font with fair prices, been taking her car there since. Today I brought my truck in I thought it was the alternator based on the sounds of was making wasn't sure, Robert informed me was just the battery. He could have charged me for a alternator and I wouldn't have been the wiser. Hard the find a honest shop so many out there but Sun Auto has earned my business!! read more

I took my car in for an oil leak and spent close to $2000 total on repairs. Less than a month later the oil leak was back. I took it another mechanic that confirmed the original work wasn't properly done. I took the car back and they swapped out one of the parts via warranty. The oil leak persisted. I moved to the other side of town wasn't able to bring the car back in a reasonable amount of time. When I called them again about it was told they only did one year service warranties at the time of the work and was immediately inundated with questions about my mileage/vehicle activity and was told they would look at it but there was no guarantee they would fix the issue at a discount rate and them fixing the issue at the original cost was completely out of the picture. This place is awful. Go somewhere else. read more

This is the only place I will trust to get my car serviced! I'm never over-charged for oil changes or maintenance. $20 for synthetic blend and $65 for full synthetic- very fair, compared for Jiffy or other places that charge me twice the price. They also rotate tires, check filters, and fuel injectors all included in oil change. Robert is always friendly and professional! The entire staff is down to earth and honest. I highly recommend this place. read more

I have been bringing my car here for a couple of years now and I literally refuse to go anywhere else. Always prompt, courteous, and honest service. Getting an appointment is always a breeze, and wait times are also kept to a minimum. Every time I go in I'm greeted in a warm friendly manner. Just the fact that they don't try to up sell me on anything really gives me peace of mind. I will always recommend Sun Auto on Stephanie to anyone I know read more

I've gone here for two years now since I became so frustrated with my dealership. I was forced to go to a secondary dealership once COVID caused the closing of the FINDLAY FIAT. I am not a fan of TOWBIN at all so I wanted to find a car place I felt I could trust. These guys have NOT disappointed me. I admit I have only had minor things done here but the service is always wonderful, and the staff is always kind and I feel like they are honest with pricing when compared to other places I have used. I like them and I recommend them. read more

You still get my five start customer service with the representative that helped me out with my battery that had no life in it. They check it and replaced it with a new one. I did get the warranty because Vegas weather kills all batteries if the car is not driven a lot. READ, This place is classic BAIT and SWITCH. Also read down a few pages at other Real reviews, Typical auto mechanics that get you in and then change the price waste your time and tell you there's nothing they can do about it. BUYER BEWARE. While I was in line upset because they change the price on me after I got here and REFUSED me service, I hear the other service guy on the phone next to me with another irate customer complaining about their service here. It a shame that this is what it's come to and this is how it is you just can't trust anybody doing work on your car I hate this. They refused me service. Supposedly they could not give me the quotesd oil change because my 2001 vw called for the more expensive oil. BS!!!! And the bigger issue is I dont get to choose what I want in my car!!!!! In the simplest of ideas. They could have told me this over the phone when I scheduled. They didnt, they quoted me a price after asking what type of car then after I got there changed the oil type and Price!!! AFTER WASTING MY OFF DAY!!! read more

Recently had the brakes repaired at Sun. They did a good job. Little bit expensive but nevertheless car stops on a dime. Good job guys.

Last time I made an appt, the guy I spoke to said I'd be able to drop it off the night before because I worked early the next day and needed to service my car that day before going out of town for the weekend. When I showed up to drop off my car, he said I wouldn't be able to leave it. I told him how the guy on the phone said I'd be able to and he said it was him that I spoke to on the phone and they weren't as busy then than they are now. I told him I didn't have a choice. He seemed really frustrated and just hurried and checked me in. He didn't even ask if I had a way home or to have a nice day. I called an uber. Fast forward to today, my boyfriend had an appt. Dropped his car off earlier this morning and got a missed call from them at 10:00 and then 10:20. He tried calling back several times and no answer. He finally got through just now and got put on hold three times and got passed around to three different guys who had no idea was going on. I miss the professionalism, organization and kindness we used to experience at Stephanie St Sun Auto. read more

Sun Auto never ceases to make me happy. They've been my mechanic for almost 15 years and I always feel protected and watched out for. Even if they're crazy busy, they're mindful of my crazy schedule and get me in and out. They're honest and and I have never felt pressured to make a repair I didn't feel was needed. They talk options on what is needed now and what I can wait on. If you want to feel like family every time you walk in the door, Sun Auto is the place to be. read more

My car was making a grinding noise and it sounded like it was coming frome the front of the car. I took the car to our regular Ford dealership twice and I got the feeling that the Ford dealership didn't want to work on it. The Ford dealership had it for two weeks and had not done any work on it and told me that it would be another two months! I asked for my car back because I didn't want to wait that long. The car was covered under a CarMax extended warranty so I decided to drive it to the closest CarMax dealer (a two hour drive) to see what they would say. They were not equipped to handle a problem as deep as that so they asked me to pick a repair shop from their list of authorized repair shops. I chose Sun Auto and I am so happy that I did. They fixed the transmission on my car, and it is running perfectly. They kept me informed every step of the way. While the Ford dealership gave me a time frame of two months. Sun Auto had it fixed in only two weeks! They diagnosed the problem to be with the transmission, took the transmission apart and found a bad bearing. They talked to the extended warranty company and arranged for an inspector to come to the shop and take a look at it. The warranty inspector approved the repair, they replaced the bearing and put it all back together. I am very happy with the work they did and the way they kept me informed. It was well worth the two hour drive for me to take it down there. read more

Do not go there!!!!! I had a coupon I called the head asked him if they top off the fluids they said yes then when I got there they said yes they top off fluids then they had my car up on a rack and said I need $1,700 for a rack and pinion steering which was a lie and when they brought it down I noticed they didn't fill up my coolant so I asked the guy are you going to feel this up and he said yes I leave I checked my car 5 days later and they did not fill up the coolant so I went back and it was really really low and they said oh it's okay because it just goes back and forth from the radiator to this plastic area which was another lie and they seen my face cuz I'm old senior citizen and said well we could put some in for you if you want if it makes you feel better and they only put a little bit in didn't even put it to where the line was they did not top off the brake fluid and they forgot The windshield wiper fluid which was all the way empty so not only are they liars they're stingy with their fluids wouldn't even feel it to the line, and they wonder why they have to put coupons out to get people to go there there were no cars there The workers were all being sent home cuz there wasn't enough work to do, so if you can't be faithful in the little things then why should you be trusted with the big things, while I was in there waiting for my car they we're cussing away as if I wasn't even sitting there, I am an old senior citizen lady that they tried to rip off and I had to drive all the way across town just to get them to put some more coolant which it killed them just to add a splash more, they already sent one guy home and was ready to send two more home they should make him go out there and pick up all the trash around the nasty dumpster they have, and dust where the broken TV doesn't work and clean the windows while they're all just sitting around getting paid for nothing, they thought they could rip off a little old senior citizen lady That's why God is not blessing their business read more

Service Writer was horrible, took my Jeep to get it service and requested something's that I noticed to be flushed. I mentioned about coupons and I ended up paying more than usual. Quick and friendly service. A bit expensive for a oil change, even with a coupon but they got the job done.

Top 3 Reasons NOT to take your vehicle to Sun Auto on Stephanie: 1. Tire air pressure not checked during a routine oil change: I found this out while on a road trip after taking my car to Sun Auto. My tire pressure light came on about 20 minutes after picking up my car. Even after I specifically asked them to make sure to check it. 2. They lie to your face and on the phone about what's going on with your vehicle: I was told my car was ready one evening - then I return to pick it up the next morning only to find they actually didn't even start working on it (and not even a courtesy call to let me know). Also, please save the "sob" story about one of the mechanics having a family emergency - that is still no excuse not to call and let me know. 3. It's quantity over quality: All they really care about is jam packing the shop and maximizing the number of dollars - but the quality of repairs and customer service is lackluster at best. NOTE: I have been a loyal Sun Auto customer since 2014. However, my most recent 2 visits were far below the normal level of excellence I once found. I have since found another shop to take my Toyota and Lexus to. It's unfortunate but after my last visit I knew I would not be returning again. read more

I have taken my car to Sun on two occasions now. On both occasions I was treated very well. On the most recent trip, they removed a damaged shroud from underneath my car at my request and did not charge me for this service. This involved taking the time to put my car on the rack, spending several minutes of their time to remove the shroud and discarding the large plastic shroud for me. I think most dealers would have charged me for their time on this and Sun Auto did not even consider charging me. I am very impressed with this company and believe they are a very reputable business. I will definitely return to them for all my auto repair and service needs. read more

Dishonest and incompetent business. Misdiagnosed my issue, charged me 2300 bucks and the exact same issue persisted. Brought back in to fix and got a call a week later that my engine seized. No solution offered or any type of responsibility and they wouldn't acknowledge the initial misdiagnosis or offer any help at all. In the end I had to get it towed out of there to a competent business. You've been warned. They only add to problems, they don't fix them. read more

If I could give this place a negative number I would. Worst customer service I have ever experienced, especially from their so called manager Darren!! Rude, disrespectful and talks down to people. They have had our car for weeks after they supposedly fixed it the first time and $2,100.00 later, and when I called to get an ETA on when it would be done I was told, in EXACT words, that they can only work on it here and there because his crew needs to work on vehicles that actually make them money to feed their families!!! So obviously warranty work does not mean anything to them and they do not stand behind that warranty since it doesn't make them any money. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB after this one. Another thing, on Friday I was told by Jessie that the manager was out if the office and wouldn't be back until Monday but he would make sure he called us back but yet here it is, 4:16 Monday and still NO phone call!!! read more

Took my friend's car to have AC checked. Darren, the manager, took it back and they said freon was low. They evacuated what was left and refilled it, added some dye and said if it stops again to come back. They did all that as a favor, free... They didn't have enough of the freon so he ordered more and got it there within minutes. Start to finish only took an hour. Front desk guy was not helpful or reliable. Seemed like he was out for money and since he couldn't make any off of me he didn't help.

Tony, Darren and all the guys at Sun Auto saved the day, again! My dad's Corvette needed some serious work. When I brought it in I wasn't even sure what all was wrong with it, but these guys took care of it completely stress free. After a lot of sweat from Tony and a couple of friendly calls from Darren, the vette was back on the road in perfect condition. It doesn't seem to matter what make or model, they can fix it. They have a customer for life. read more

If I could give negative stars, I would. We've all heard of mechanics taking advantage of people who aren't the most educated on cars. Well I've sadly experienced that quite recently. It was February 16th, I had just gotten my car fixed, and this is when it all turned upside down. I had went to get gas for the first time after getting it fixed, and when I put the pump inside, it kept stopping. I cannot even hold the pump all the way without it shutting off. I know what you're thinking. "It could just be the pump" or "you're gas tank got full." First of all, keep up with the times people. Gas prices are as high as a 16 year old on 4/20 . My eyes will not meet a full gas tank until the world ends. I had told my parents about it when I got home, and my dad told me that the same thing happened to him. (At completely different gas stations.) If the prices didn't make me want to cry enough, now I have this bs to worry about every time I go. I am quite literally at the gas station for five minutes just to pump $15. It holds for about 4.19 seconds before it shuts off, and I have to start holding it myself. Not to mention, I have to hold it in the most specific way for it to stay pumping, and even then it still shuts off after every little bit. And since I can't hold it all the way, it pumps eeeeever so slowly. Just as slowly as that sloth from Zootopia. So anyways, guess what the lovely folks down at Sun Auto have to say about this. My dad and I went back to explain to them the issue, and the receptionist gentleman told us that "iTs jUSt tHe pUmP." Sure my friend, it's just the pump. IVE BEEN TO 5 DIFFERENT GAS STATIONS AND NOT ONE HAS COOPERATED WITH ME! So yes, I believe you, it truly is the pump itself. You're so smart Mr. receptionist. Matter of fact I should come to you with all my issues and see what kind of ABSOLUTE BS YOU'LL MAKE UP! You guys don't understand how dreadful it is to get gas for me. It's humiliating, exhausting, and if it shuts off one more time I'm drinking the gas instead to end my misery. I can't take this anymore. Please please please never, and I mean NEVER EVER, NOT IF ITS THE LAST AUTO SHOP IN VEGAS, DO.NOT.COME.HERE! I'm doing this for you, I don't wish this upon anyone, so please do it for me. Matter of fact, Just stay at least 500 feet away from there. Give yourself a restraining order for this place for all I care, just do not go near it! Thank you for your time. read more
