I took my 2015 Lexus in for oil change and tire rotation. Going in, the tire pressure measurement system was functional. I know this because it indicated slightly low pressure in one tire. After leaving Sun Auto, I realized the TPMS no longer worked. I brought it back and the service manager said that it was pure coincidence that one of the sensors no longer worked. He said they could replace the sensor for standard parts and labor costs. A quick internet search indicates that improper handling of tires when rotating them can damage a sensor. Sun Auto should take responsibility. They have refused. read more

My Jaguar SUV only needs a thermostat replaced, a $130 part from Jaguar. The guy that gave me the quote told me because it's a Jaguar and there are a lot of plastic pieces that often need to be replaced when removed that I would expect additional expenses. He quoted me over $1000 "without those additional expenses " So I'm going to do it myself not the first time I've replace the thermostat. A thermostat requires you to disconnect, two hoses and three bolts It is an easy job! Be cautious automotive places like this assume most everyone doesn't know anything about vehicles and will charge you whatever they want. Do not go here! read more

Won't be back after being told we needed work we didn't We brought my wife's car to this sun auto to have the rear brake pads replaced after the dealership gave us a pretty pricey quote. Dealer told us all rotors and the front pads were fine, just needed to replace the rear pads. Unfortunately this sun auto location tried to take advantage of us by quoting us over $1200 stating all pads and rotors needed to be replaced. They told us the rear rotors were beyond repair and were unable to be resurfaced and that the front rotors were warped. We were a little confused as to why the dealer and Sun auto would give us 2 completely different stories so we held off on the service so that we could take it back to the dealer to see what was going on. A week later the dealership confirmed their original diagnosis. The only thing that needed to be replaced were the rear pads and they were dumbfounded when we told them what Sun auto had quoted us. Sad to see a brand new place try to take advantage of customers. We will absolutely not be back and encourage others to find another repair shop. read more

Took my car in for an alignment and was told they couldn't do it because the front axle and rear struts were leaking. Was quoted $3k before they tried to bargain it down to $2k. I checked with my regular mechanic and he asked me to request pictures of the supposed leaks or bring it to him first to check. We ended up towing it to his shop, and lo and behold, no leaks. He showed me all the parts that they claimed were leaking and there was no evidence of this. Beware and always ask for a second opinion if you can! read more

Our poor car was overheating, so we stopped by Sun Auto on the way home. They were just about to close, but luckily we were able to get our car in. Next day, we were told that the car had a loose radiator clamp, which was leaking water...easy fix! Whew. Also got an oil change since it was time. We paid $47.72 total. Please never go here First - this is the damage done to my car after work When I brought in 24 hours later- I was asked if the car was in an accident. I said it was insulting to be accused of coming to the shop 24 hours later after THEY WORKED ON CAR IN THAT SAME AREA - and being told this was on me. Second - in the same sentence of accusing me of being in accident the manager called me DEAR!! At this point I'm heated - I said you blame me for damage to MY CAR AND CALL ME DEAR?! How much more condescending and rude can you actually be! ?? And well answer is - much more! Manager said "ya we live in the culture where everyone gets offended easily - you can leave and never come back" So - I won't! And I hope who ever reads this doesn't either! read more

I took my car here for an oil change since they are so close to my house. I normally would just drop my car off at the dealer, but since it's far from home and doesn't allow for appointments, I thought I'd try something new in hopes that it would be more convenient. I was able to call and make an appointment for a Saturday which I appreciated. Once I dropped off my car, they took it back quickly and had it back to me in about 45 minutes. They have a small sitting area inside with a TV and looks like they had coffee and water for people to grab while they wait. (I took the opportunity to walk around outside and grabbed an iced coffee instead from Dunkin, which is nice there is stuff close enough to walk to). The staff was all very friendly and helpful. I asked them to put on new wipers too which they added onto my service no problem. They also swapped out an engine filter for me, but asked first and made sure I was OK with the charge. I'll definitely continue using this place. Great service, quick and efficient, and love that I can make appointments. No more waiting for hours at the dealership. read more

Giving this place a 1 star because it won't let me leave 0. Brought my 2019 jeep Cherokee in on Friday to get diagnosed for trouble starting and check engine light on. They told me my code was for a fuel pressure sensor and needed to replace my fuel pump. Even though it was a 1,300.00 fix I trusted them and told sun auto to proceed. I was told my car would be done Monday. On Monday they told me my check engine light was now on for an evap leak and needed a purge valve, once again I told them to proceed. On Tuesday they told me my check engine light was on for an evap circuit and needed my fuel pressure sensor on the fuel line replaced and again they proceeded to replace. After all of this I was told on Thursday 6 days later my car was ready. After paying and proceeding to my car and started it, right away the check engine light came on. Joshua came out and reseted my light and told me mechanic forgot to do so. On the way home check engine light came on again so I took it back and dropped it back off. As of now still no answers and without a car for a week. Extremely disappointed please don't take vehicles here. read more

I needed an oil change and also wanted someone to look at replacing spark plugs. I asked to have it looked over and let me know if anything else was recommended to just call and give me an estimate. They couldn't find anything else and didn't try to upcharge me. I forgot to mention they were able to squeeze me in on a Saturday and I got my car back the same day, as promised. Josh assisted me at the front desk at check in and check out. He is extremely professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Haven't had any problems with Sun auto in the past. I have always done my own work on my vehicles but lately have been to busy to get anything done. I just took it in for a basic oil change and now my car is due for another and I went to change the oil and I noticed they never even put the cap over the oil. I tried to undo the bolt to release the oil and whoever did the oil change put the bolt on way way to tight and now I am having difficulty removing it. Won't go back to this location, which is so sad because I was impressed with their service in the past. They also broke the part that holds up the hood. I would recommend someplace else. read more

My Nissan Sentra developed a horrible clunking noise in the front end. Based on past experiences, I figured this to be a front strut that had worn out. I decided to take the car to the new Sun Auto on volunteer, which is close to Anthem where I live. After leaving my car at Sun Auto for four days with them replacing the passenger side strut twice, they finally told me they could not determine where the noise was coming from and then politely charged me $700. I asked for some amount of refund but as expected, they refused. I ended up taking the car to Nissan of Henderson, and they replace the strut with an OEM strut, which resolved the problem. The Nissan dealership said that the strut that Sun Auto installed was a rebuilt, aftermarket shock. Not even a new OEM !!! I WOULD NOT, I REPEAT.. WOULD NOT take my car to this Sun auto repair shop. read more

I usually never write bad reviews but because I was lied to & d***ed around I felt I should. Wishy washy customer service & not honest they like to give you the run around. Trust your gut when you feel a vibe! I had a minor issue with my car & needed it fixed. I figured I would try this place since we received a coupon in the mail. From the get go I had bad vibes about these people because their customer service seemed very wishy washy! We went in to try & make a appointment which we did. When we went in day of to drop my car off the guy at the front desk asked me for all the information I already had given him, seemed as if we didn't even make a appointment. This other guy came out & said we will pull the car right in & it should take 30min. There was something off I felt the vibes, We went back to see if the car was still being worked on or if it was done since it has been 30min. The car was still out parked in the same spot. Btw We went in shop the guy says it's free no charge! I was like shocked & kinda happy to hear it was free. So we checked to see if the issue was fixed & apparently nothing had been done. The guy lied!! We went in to tell him nothing had been fixed no wonder it was free. He told me not to get a attitude with him Altho he was the one with the attitude! Who the heck lies about something like that!!!!! I never had a mechanic lie about working on my car or any of these flakey customer service issues in my life. Terrible!!! read more

Nothing but high marks for the guys at Sun Auto! When our transmission went out, Josh really took care of us. He was patient and responsive even with phones ringing and a lobby full of customers. He found a low-miles used transmission to replace the one in our older vehicle, which really saved us a lot of money. Took my Cadillac there for a rear driver's side window that wasn't working. Though they didn't check me in for a couple of hours, I had to wait for my ride anyway. They left a rag on my engine under my hood that could've caught fire, they also said they changed my oil and my oil was almost dry 2 weeks later. had to take it to a different shop just to figure out what they ruined in my car, if you want to almost die or find problems with your car that weren't even there prior, don't go there especially if you're a woman. read more

The check engine light came on while driving. They were able to get me in quickly to diagnose the issue. Turns out I needed a new thermostat. I have an extended warranty which can sometimes be a pain getting that part all worked out, but the fellas called them on my behalf and got everything handled quickly.
