I know you usually only hear from folks when things go wrong, but we haven't had any issues in the 3 years since our installation. I've been really amazed that the system has worked as well as you promised. I actually think it's performed better. We have averaged less than $150 in a year in electricity costs to Duke Energy (outside of the $8.98 monthly customer charge). We really can't say enough about how smoothly and well managed the project was as a whole. We always sing the praises of Solar Direct when folks ask for recommendations. Sincerely, Allison and Roger Schlener

My inverter failed after 2 years, because apparently that's when many of them fail. It has been FOUR MONTHS of excuses why they haven't gotten someone to install it. These guys ain't it. Update: They have cancelled yet another appointment to replace my inverter because they want to focus on sales installations rather than servicing their existing customers. After getting three commercial bids and searching the internet for months and reading installation instructions for three different systems I stumbled on a uTube video "Techno Solis Installation Guide". Recognizing the panels to look like Favco panels for which I received a bid, I searched further to discover the panels were actually "Vortex Solar Pool Heater" panels. I had seen these available as a replacement option for Favco panels. Further searching revealed the availably for complete DIY kit from DIYSolarPoolHeaterKits.com.. One Friday evening I clicked on their website requesting a plan and bid. Sunday morning I had an email with a plan drawn on my roof using Google photos. It was exactly like the bid I had previously had from the largest installer in Northern California. But instead of being nine thousand dollars, the cost of this "kit" was only $2,300 including top of the line mechanicals and automatic controller. The uTube video gave me the confidence to go ahead with this DIY installation. Well, I'm 70 years old with two artificial hips and a severely compromised knee. I'd at least have to hire a helper to get my seven panels onto my roof. Jason at DIYSolarPoolHeaterKits.com. had promptly answered all of my questions via email and shipped my kit just as promised. Upon arrival all materials look to be top shelf. Then the Corona SIP order hit. Guess I'll have to do it all myself. Watched the video one more time. My biggest hurdle, to get the panels on my roof, took me less than one hour. The key was how it was done on the video AND using two ladders. One for the panels and one for me. Everything else was just fun. If you've ever glued PVC pipe you can do this. The instructions that came with the kit are complete and online information is available. And Jason is just an email away. Every time I had a question and I emailed Jason I'd have the answer in my inbox the next morning. Everything completely and clearly explained. What a great company to deal with. Even if you are not capable of doing this installation, you could hire a "handyman" to do it for you and save thousands of dollars. I wish every business I have dealt with over my lifetime was a responsive and a much a value as DIYSolarPoolHeaterKits.com..

This is an updated review to one I had originally left, however I thought it was important to give…read morea little bit of a backstory to explain why I think this is a great company. Approximately 2 years ago I had the idea that I wanted to add solar to my home. A lot of companies come to your house promising that they are going to provide you solar by replacing your electric bill with a solar loan. Makes sense because in the long term you'll finally get a chance to one day pay off your electric bill. After reviewing companies I finally settled on Mirasol solar. After the first initial installation, I realized by the end of my first year that the panels installed were not adequate to supply the goal of 100% solar energy in one year. This unfortunately created a hardship for me because I was put in the position where I was paying two bills, both the solar and an electric bill. I had posted an original review, in which I loudly complained about the poor estimate that entrapped me with the lower than expected solar production. But here's why I'm giving this company extremely high marks. Rather than telling me to go get a lawyer and good luck with suing them, the CEO of the company called me and committed directly to making my situation right. What proceeded after that was a careful period of evaluation and due diligence on their part to both own up to their mistake, as well as bringing on board necessary resources to correct the problem. They more than lived up to their word. Unfortunately a lot of companies do not operate like them, and if the company makes a mistake you are stuck with the problem and an expensive legal team. That's not how this company operated. With direct leadership interaction and engagement, I now have a system that is running at peak performance and generating quality power. So in summary, the true mark of a good company is not in their level of perfection, although that would be wonderful, but it's in how they honor their word and respect the customer. That was on full display from the top of this company to the individual employees that were quick to respond to my very insistent questions.
