I've used Acey for our sump pump needs for around 13 years, and he's honest, hard-working, and has high ethics. Recently, I decided to have our two (battery and regular) sump pump lines buried (yes, they were above ground for 16 yrs!) and at first Acey said take it out at least 40 feet and I said how about 20 feet. So he buried them 20 feet out but we found out the water was not draining enough from the pop up drain, and instead finding its way to our foundation. When I told Acey, he came out, and extended it another 50 feet (70 feet total), and he discounted his rate, since the first time did not work well. I really give credit to him, because he originally wanted to A) extend it out 40 feet or B) extend it & attach it to a city drain in our neighbor's yard and I talked him out of it. When it turned out his better judgment was the correct one, we paid him more, but he was kind enough to discount our rate. So, total was $2650.00 but honestly, it's tough to have a 70 foot pipe installed correctly for less than that, especially supervised by a licensed professional. And, another thing I like about Acey is he will tell you things you can fix on your own. Example, we had a small leak in our basement, after the July 4th rain. Acey put my hose into the window well, turned it on, and pointed out how drain was clogged where water leaked in, and told us how to clear it. We cleared it on our own, and shored up the dirt around the foundation, and we caulked the window inside and outside. The next hard rain, we had zero moisture. He'll tell you what he'd charge, but he also gives you the opportunity and advice to do it yourself. He's all about helping you save. So, he's our guy! read more

She said Acey would come and finish the job. He will come around 3.00Pm I got a call from Acey that he is running late ..stuck in trafic. Then he tells me that there is a $650.00 Flat charge just to Put Wayne ESP 25 battery back up sump pump.....VOW!!!!! I have original Trusty Warns back up installed by the previous owner. The main pump was also theirs and simply wasn't strong enough because there is plenty of underground water in the subdivision. Every major rain, the back up would go off with its annoying noise, mostly deep at night. I found this guy after two annual maintenance visits from the TW. He changed both, the back up pump and the main one. I haven't heard the back noise since. And his rate is more than fair. read more

No Show!!!! I scheduled an estimate to have a backup sump pump installed 10 days ago. Low and behold, no one showed up....I called the office to see what was going on and the polite woman told me she couldn't reach the technician. She also told me it was a "secondary" technician and things should be better when the boss is back in town. Of course it makes me wonder why I was scheduled with a "secondary" person and also how a company can so so so unreliable and lack courtesy. Recently had my sump pump replaced because it had failed. Called Sump Pump Medic for the job. Heather was very helpful and scheduled me in sooner than the initial appointment available.....Great! Casey came out and tested my old sump pump, which started to work with out a problem. He said it seemed fine and that there were no real issues. The sump pump was 12 years old so I figured it was just a matter of time so I chose to replace it. Plus, I didn't want to worry that it could fail again given the typical lifespan. I asked Casey for a quote, which he gave me. Gave the OK and an hour or so later I was all wrapped up with a new, larger installed ejector pump. Our sump pump wouldn't stop running shortly after we moved into our "new to us" home last summer. Ace came out and adjusted the sump bobber and it started running correctly again. I elected to replace the pump for fear it would stop working and flood the basement. I also replaced our backup battery as it was dead. Ace cleaned the inside of the sump, the area around it and replaced the cover with a sealed cover to help cut down on radon at my request. I wish all home repair technicians were as honest and affordable as Sump Pump Medic. The only thing Ace said I was in need of was a new back up battery and never did I feel up sold. We had a sump pump ejecting directly outside the house into a buried flexible hose. The problem was the area the hose was going would saturate the area it was going to and then the water would just spill out right next to the house so the sump pump was running non-stop re-pumping the same water out over and over. Acey came out checked out the entire layout of the existing system. He gave us several options to work with. Once we chose the solution we wanted, he came back out and installed. He did a fantastic job, the water pumps to a free area, so the pump only pumps the water once so we almost never hear it pumping anymore. The quote was spot on. Funny story, after install was finished, when he checked the system, the water pumped up and out, there is an air valve that kind of gurgles as the water drains and Acey says,'Listen to that!"
