Chicken Fried Rice and Steak, with a Walla Walla Roll
    Bradley R.

I ordered from this restaurant through Uber Eats, and it was excellent. Finding good food in Washington that isn't a burger can be tricky, but this really hit the spot. I enjoyed it so much I ordered two days in a row. The chicken fried rice bowl with added steak was outstanding and definitely worth it. Next time I'm in town for work, I'll have to bring my coworkers here for lunch.

Every time I've gone here I've had a good experience and the food is great! The staff is very helpful and friendly, and they are attentive to your needs. The ambience is nice as well. Can't wait to come back!

I won't lie, I was a little hesitant to have sushi so far from the coast. My husband and I live near Seattle and sumo gave us a comparable experience. The fish was very fresh and delicious.

The best food I've ever tasted. Not even exaggerating. The food and the service were both 10/10. O

We ordered the chef special. The food is decent. It is always nice to find such kind of Japanese restaurant in a small town.

Haven't been here in a couple years so wanted to see if it was still good. It was! Very friendly and fast staff. My son loved the pot stickers and the hibachi chicken. I had the hibachi chicken and steak, still really good. The noodles didn't have the same garlic taste as last time. They were still good but different. Very clean restaurant and it had nice music playing, my 8 year old really liked the music.

For Mother's Day this year my best half wanna sushi for dinner. The Mexican food in Yakima is, I think, some of the best you can find anywhere in the country. The sushi however, as always left a little bit to be desired. It's not bad, but it's never been awesome. I am happy to report that the sushi game in town has officially been upped! Sumo is a new Teppan-Yaki and sushi spot that opened up where Santiago is used to be on Yakima Avenue. We grabbed a number of rolls for takeout and even with the Automatic reduction in ambience that comes with eating sushi out of a to go box, the stuff was really good! We tried three random rolls, and all of them were excellent! A surprise however was the Yaki soba. The noodles weren't as thick as we've had in the past, but they were quite delicious. The winner of the evening however was the salmon skin hand roll. My wife has been looking for One of these that rivaled one that she had growing up, literally for the last 15 years. It looks like we finally found it! We're very excited to dine in here as they've made some pretty cool aesthetic changes to the inside of the restaurant. This is absolutely a spot you should check out if you're looking for some good sushi And Japanese style noodles. After one trip, I think this is probably our go to for sushi for the for seeable future!

Some of the best sushi I've ever had. Cowboy roll and rice balls (w/ yellowtail) are a MUST. I would 1,000% eat here again.

Food poisoning from sashimi that was not kept fresh. Highly recommend avoiding this place, especially their Unagi.

Prices aren't bad (especially in today's climate) and portions lean large. The Not as Good: Food quality, at least for what we had, was marginal. It's probably hard to serve such a wide menu and get everything right. Food wasn't bad. Just not very good. I hope they can up their game on at least some dishes - or, maybe I need to order different next time. Not sure if there will be a next time. The name should probably tell you something. A local suggested we try it, otherwise we probably wouldn't have. Full disclaimer: we are very accustomed to good Asian food (at various price points), particularly Japanese food. Our standards aren't crazy high, but maybe a bit pickier than some. I wish them good luck.

I get the Chicken Teriyaki Bowl and my spouse gets the Pork Teriyaki Bowl. Both are flavorful, generous, and reliably delicious -- and we always have enough left over to enjoy the rest for lunch later the same day. The menu has lots of tempting options, and many guests order their sushi. But we can never resist our usual favorites. A dependable, satisfying place for a tasty teriyaki lunch.

Not gonna lie that this place the cost of the buffet is only $24. If this buffet were open at other side of town. The price nowadays over there in Seattle is like $35-40 per person!
