Paid $5 for what's on this plate. Meaning each dried up thing peace of "sausages" was $1 each. Without tax**. My order also came with crab which they called and said they had non. Hope that gives you a good idea what you getting into when ordering from this place

I'm debating between a 3 and a 4 as my rating, but ultimately decided on a 3. It's not bad ramen/Japanese foods, but it's far from authentic. The noodles themselves are pretty basic and am sure it is packaged of some sorts. I also had the chowder fries which were probably just frozen fries and a can of chowder poured on top. Yummy but nothing special. Ultimately, it is a nice joint especially in Yakima, but a little on the expensive side for the quality and taste of food.

We have been super excited about going to this place since it opened, and we finally had a date night opportunity to go check it out. We found another awesome addition to the culinary scene in the area! The combination of Ramen and Creole food in the same place was not something that we would have ever put together, but somehow it works very well. This place is sort of like a Ramen House on Capitol Hill and the crab pot had a baby and it decided to settle in Yakima. It's a huge win for the area! We were very much in a Ramen type mood so that's where we focus their attention. They have some really good options, including traditional chicken broth, a really good pork broth, and a few vegetarian options. We sampled the spicy Ramen as well as the garlic Ramen. Both were very good, but our award goes to the spicy. It had a pork-based broth that was incredibly deep rich, with a really good flavor that made me want to just order a glass of it. The noodles were excellent, the soft boiled egg done perfectly, and the array of vegetables within complemented it just right. The pork and chicken were good, but not great - as the low point they set a high bar! We also tried one of the Japanese pork rolls. It to was very good, and definitely something we would order again. The ambience of the place is very nice. There's plenty of tables, as well as a true Ramen bar where you can sit facing against a wall and enjoy your delicious bowl of heaven in relative peace and isolation. All in All, this spot is a must hit up and will only get more satisfying as the weather gets colder. Well worth your time to check it out!

Chicken rich ramen - creamy chicken broth, chicken chasu, half boiled egg, dried seaweed, bamboo shot, corn, fish cake, and green onion.

    Spicy Ramen

my boyfriend & I are regulars here because their spicy ramen is the best! they always remember our order - we both get the mild spicy ramen with no seaweed. the employees are always so sweet, they even sometimes give us little candies when we checkout! the egg in the ramen is delicious, they put the perfect amount of corn in there & the pork is very yummy

It was okay. Wasn't a big fan but that's my opinion if you are really into the sweet pork bun things. Honestly go for it you'll probably really like it

Spicy ramen: Thick layer of chili oil- not spicy.

Unfortunately I didn't have a great first experience at Captain Crab & Ramen. I ordered the spicy ramen, chicken karaage, and pork bun. They use chili oil to spice the ramen which is always a peeve of mine. I might as well order garlic tonkatsu and add the chili oil that's on the table myself. However, that being said everything else about the ramen was delicious. The chashu was cooked perfectly and the broth was rich. One other thing to note is the soft boiled egg was on the harder side but that may have been from sitting in the hot broth a little longer. The pork bun was ok. I think they just use the same chashu that comes in the ramen. The most disappointing part of the meal was the chicken karaage. I thought they may have just not known how to cook karaage but then when I looked at previous reviewers photos- I noticed it looked spot on. See my photo. It speaks for itself. Will I be back? Of course. The only ramen spot in Yakima- I'm coming back to try every ramen option until I find my niche. Also want to hit up those crawfish. Such a great addition to the Yakima restaurant scene! I'm hoping to improve my star review on my next visit!

Food was delicious! Drove in from out of town and was looking for a quick bite. I ordered the garlic ramen with a mild spice and a pork belly sandwich. Both were super yummy and flavorful. They are also the only place that is open a bit late compared to everything else in the area.

After waiting a month to give Captain time to work out the kinks, train staff, and get a decent par level on food for their customers... it's was time for a review! Parking is not a problem as there is a parking lot right outside the front door and more parking by the gas station. I feel WAY more safer parking a car in this parking lot than that of the lot downtown. Seating inside is enough for 60 patrons! Seating is on plush comfortable chairs. The staff are AWESOME!! They were super friendly, offered suggestions on what is popular and what they liked. The water was never low or empty. With that out of the way, it's time to talk about why we chose Captain this evening. Ramen noodles!!!!! We had the 10 piece chicken karaage, which is a battered fried chicken that came with a spicy mayo based dipping sauce. I also ordered the Chicken Rich Ramen which was SPECTACULAR! Ramen noodles, boiled egg, chicken, all in a broth that I could live the rest of my life on. The flavors of each mouthful was a puzzle. A puzzle in a good way, each having its own complex shape or flavor. The whole bowl led to the bigger picture pretty quick... I was stuffed! I chose not to eat the crab and fish foods off the menu as I do not fancy that type of food. I would totally go back and give more ramen dishes a try though. Oh, In keeping tradition with many of my reviews, we visited on a Wednesday evening. From the time I ordered to the time the food was in front of me took 15 minutes 20 seconds.

The ribs were yummy and the egg rolls were meaty and super tasty and the Gyozas! I've never had ones so packed fulll of the delicious meat mix. The take out order was ready on time, everything we needed and some extras were in the bag. The bill for a meal that will feed us several times was under $100. We enjoyed our food and experience with this establishment tremendously. Great value, great food. Great find. We will be back when we next pass this way.

My spouse and I each ordered a Martini (with house New Amsterdam gin), which we enjoyed. We also each ordered the Thai Chicken Nachos from the Happy Hour menu -- a generous, flavorful dish with plenty left to take home for the next day. (My repeat order, it's that good!) What really stood out was how warm, friendly, and attentive the wait staff was to everyone. A very enjoyable visit and a spot we're happy to return to.

Let's talk about this…read more. WaterFire has been our staple for date night times away from the kids. Although the previous experience has been great this time was lackluster. What was once our flavorful regular was now a dull and bland. Au jus was water with a hint of flavor, horseradish sauce was a warm water based cream with the deprived pungent horseradish taste we've all grown to love. The French dip sadly tasted better without all of its companions. Next up was the Wagyu cheeseburger, seemed to have a grainy texture to its bites, with a disappointing finish. The WF calamari was tweaked adding green olives and whole tentacles, which was weird considering it's never been that way. Honestly the best item we got was the Gorgonzola wagyu beef kabobs. These were cooked to perfection and gave us that reversion we craved. Although this was our first bad experience here, it will not deter us from returning. When I get the chance to revisit I will update this review in hopes for the better.
