I figured we would have walked in at rush hour (4:30pm) but we were the only people. Waited 10 minutes for a new drink, and after handing my cash to pay waited 6 minutes for my change. Sumo Sushi & Steak was amazing! I had the Mizo Ramen soup. It was full of umami flavors and one of the best soups I've had in central Arkansas. My wife had a sushi roll and side of fried rice. There rolls are HUGE and they're filled with thick cuts of fish and other ingredients. Service was really good and the ambiance was very relax and chill. Total bill for the two of us was around $45. We'll be sure to go back and I recommend other people to go as well. read more

Ordered take out from here. They are definitely very fast, took maybe 7 minutes to get the order ready. The chicken had little to no flavor and the fruit offering is a slice of orange that is sitting on top of and underneath hot pieces of chicken. The lettuce was wilted from the heat of the chicken so it didn't work well to make a lettuce wrap. The rice is good even without any sauces. I can't say that the California roll tasted any different than one you might find in a gas station. Price was a little high for the quality. Lots of parking and there were literally no customers inside when I arrived so it's not too loud. I suppose this is a decent option for the ride but I can't speak of anything else. I ordered dinner from here on a Sunday. Fried Sushi and General Tso chicken. The fried sushi that I ordered was called Monkey Brain. It was supposed to have crab, cream cheese and cucumber. Instead of cucumber, mine had avocado and I'm allergic to avacado. Also, the General Tso chicken is red. I didn't know what it was at first! It's so spicy that it's almost inedible but the chicken itself was cold. This is my third visit and it's never been the BEST but I was expecting better than this. I've basically wasted $25+ on food I can't eat so I will not be back. read more

Outside not bad normal strip mall sushi place (not busy @6pm easy parking), walk inside VERY slow for dinner, no sushi bar to sit at, maybe second place I've seen with Hispanic instead of Asian for the chief.... Ordered sashimi salad, they told me they were out of sashimi salad... ummm this is literally 4-7 types of fish spring lettuce and sauce... made with regular lettuce... ok we will see how that goes... All in all not bad nothing amazing, this is kinda like when you settle in a relationship, it doesn't make you smile ear to ear or your body shake but it will get the job done and at least you're not sad. read more

Dynamite and Volcano roll was excellent, Chicken Lo mein was very good and they give you a ton of noodles and veggies, sesame chicken was perfect with the fried rice, we loved the dumplings, onion soup and ginger dressing salad was also very good! I realize all of the other reviews were positive so maybe we just ordered the wrong things. I would not recommend the Pho. It wasn't a soup at all and was I stead a gooey noodle condition with overcooked meat that had apparently been grilled. This was about as far from a Pho as you can get. No Pho flavor. The egg rolls were average and similar to what you might get at a Chinese buffet. Someone would have to convince me to order from here again. read more

Tried Sumo for the first time this evening. Definitely won't be my last. I had the bulgogi hibachi plate. It came with soup, I chose onion, and salad. My wife had the miso soup. Both were good but I preferred the onion. The ginger dressing was delicious but a little sweet for my taste. I added some soy sauce and it balanced it out perfectly. I work near this restaurant, there are always such great smells coming across the parking lot, I decided to try it out. I was too late for lunch, got the dinner hibachi steak and it was wonderful, plus a heck of a lot of food. I got steak, vegetables, fried rice, noodles, soup, and a salad. The salad came with a choice of ginger or ranch dressing and was nearly a meal by itself. Everything was super tasty and well-prepared. I also ordered a side order of crab rangoons and a spring roll for my husband and he said they were wonderfully fresh and delicious. Lastly, we tired a serving of monkey brain fried sushi, and it was really well prepared and made without the spicy sauce, at my request. While I was waiting for my meal to be prepared, the front house personnel played with my dog, Rosie. I felt like we were welcome guests, not just customers. They are super personable and friendly. I am definitely going to visit again, next time with family and friends in tow. read more

Well worth it and taste just as or better than other hibachi places in town...and much cheaper! Ginger salad dressing is GOOD!!! Soup was fair...other major hibachi in town is a little better, IMO. Very unassuming place from the outside, but once entering the restaurant we were pleased with the decor and amenities. We were greeted by two different hostesses. Staff was very friendly. They first brought out the complementary dumplings and soup, not the best I've had but they were unexpected and appreciated. The menus were a bit too much. Comes off as a restaurant struggling to find their identity. However, we ordered from the sushi menu: The Godzilla, the Oops, and the Philly Roll. All three were very well made and had great flavor. I am giving two stars because I left my to-go box and when I called to tell them I was heading back after less than ten minutes, they had already thrown away an almost complete sushi roll. I have never had an issue with retrieving forgotten boxes at other restaurants. I understand after 20 minutes tossing something but dang. Charge me almost $15 dollars then throw away the food I paid for. They also never have menu items that my husband tries to order. This might sneak into my top Sushi place in central Arkansas. We normally go to the more expensive one in bryant, but this one was better in many aspects. Service was great. Food was amazing. I got the Hendrix roll and my fiancé got the Lion King roll and we both loved it. Hibachi is really 5.99 all time. So we split one of those also. Will be back for sure in the near future! read more

My new favorite Bryant restaurant! I have gone there about 4 times this past month haha! Addicted! They have great (and cheap) Japanese food, Chinese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, and even Asian-American fusion dishes like quesadillas. Huge menu and every thing I've tried has been really good. I love the bento boxes (try the bulgogi with the miso soup and the ginger dressing on the salad, their ginger dressing has a little Thai peanut flavor yum!). Great service for the most part, sometimes at night they can be a little slow with bringing out the food. Can't wait for their beer/wine license to go through! read more

Be cautious here. Food I ordered was good, but I didn't get all my food. And paid $40 for two box things. I think they got me on the salads and soup add, but the menu said it was included. I was really excited about this restaurant when it first opened. Food was great. Service was great. The last three times we have been there the service is okay but the food has lacked flavor. Time before last we sent back our fried rice and they fixed it. This last time it was so bad that we said something again. The girl had a cordless phone in her hand and she told us she had to take the call. She never came back. The Bulg go gi was so sticky sweet we almost gagged. It is not supposed to be sweet at all! The fried rice tasted like it was minute rice a day old warmed up with hint of soy. Just nasty. We will NOT be back. Up on exiting the restaurant we figured out what the problem was.
