we drove for an hour and restaurant says it closes at 9pm but when we got there they only take to go orders around 8pm and won't provide seating. maybe specify that somewhere.. also they took the sashimi combo off the menu on their online ordering app but it is still there if u ask the staff. service is overall going downhill. read more

Well on my 5th visit, I think I'm done. Went opening week here in Burlington Everything was great. Food, Serice and Quaility. Went again the following week with another group. (Btw ask for the Tablet vs your cell, much easier to order.) Again everything was GREAT like 5 stars great. Fast forward a few weeks take someone else for the experience. This time the people are great, but the food not Great. Okay cooks having off day. At $30 a person i hope for great, even at a buffett. Last time was mediocre. This time today the shrimp still had veins in and was chewy, salmon mushy, steak was chewy and gristley. The walk up buffet and udon part was good. But half of what we odered ( all something we have ordered before) was uneaten, we dont do that. To the point of spitting it out. Sad to see how this location went downhill so fast. read more

We've eaten at the Burlington location a couple of times for their grand opening and thought the food was well-prepared and a good value. To summarize: We ordered sushi, sashimi, grilled New York steak, grilled beef, pot stickers, sashimi, various sushi rolls, noodles, and sukiyaki. We were pleased with everything we ordered, especially the sashimi items. Although there is a buffet where you can serve yourself, we went for one trip on our first visit and skipped it entirely the second time we went. There is nothing wrong with the buffet, but the freshly prepared items were much more to our liking. The longer review: You order by scanning a QR code on the table to open the menu, then selecting the items you want to eat. You can up up to fifteen items to your order. Once you have submitted the order you have to wait fifteen minutes to order again, which really wasn't a problem for us. When your order is ready it is delivered to your table, either by a human or by a robot that rolls up to your table with your food on a shelf. Once you unload your food the robot goes back to the kitchen to pick up its next order. The first time we went, we sat on the side of the restaurant and nearly everything was delivered by the robot. On our second trip, we were close to the kitchen and everything was delivered by a human. The robots are pretty fun, but it seems that if you want to make sure that you get robot service you need to make sure that they are aware of it when you are seated. If you are there with kids, you will definitely want to have at least one or two items delivered by the robot server. All of the kids we saw really liked the robots. One thing to be aware of is that the Lunch menu has fewer items than the Dinner menu. In particular, there were no sashimi choices when we had lunch, although there were still lots of sushi choices. We are planning to give this spot a place in our regular restaurant rotation. read more

My wife and I tried this place for lunch. We got the two silver deals. The sushi menu was seriously lacking. Got a fried California roll, tuna roll and avocado roll. Couldn't manage to eat the California and tuna. They were that bad. Tried grilled chicken with black pepper sauce. It was like rubber. It was great! Different from a typical American style buffet. At your table is a QR code that you scan with your cell phone, which becomes your menu. You can order up to 15 items every 15 minutes, which is more than plenty but discourages being wasteful. It also ensures the food you get is cooked fresh. They also have a walk up buffet line you can go through while you're waiting for your food. Lots of authentic Japanese dishes I've never heard of, but also things I have like tempura and sushi. Lots of sushi and a good mix of non raw items to choose from. If you like Sake, steer away from their cheapest house option... but they had a couple better options that I will try next time. Sodas are included in price. I really liked the grilled salmon, the spicy grilled steak, they have a good ramen bowl and many shrimp offerings. The tempura shrimp roll is excellent. If you like raw sushi, the selection is good. We went for lunch, $17. Dinner starts at 3:00 pm and I believe was $27. The items you order off your phone come quickly and freshly made and are delivered by one of many little robots they have zooming around the place, which is a fun touch. Our server brought beverages and cleared plates, etc. With all the high tech I was surprised that you can't pay the bill from your table. You pay up front old school. They actually allowed my mom to bring home some leftovers. As long as it's within reason the server told us. The Togo container was very small. They are trying to walk that fine line between offering an all you can eat experience and going out of business because Americans can be glutenous and wasteful, which is why so many buffets go under. We left very full having only ordered off the menu twice and hitting the buffet twice. Even though their plates are tiny little sushi plates. We enjoyed the concept of robots delivering food, but when the items started coming, the "tray" wasn't clean. We didn't know if the spillage was from our hot food or from dirty plates going back to the kitchen. Robots need to be CLEANED before bringing food out. There were customers sending them back. We didn't see anything regarding dirty plates, unless we missed that. It was extremely expensive on Sunday, and my grandson's 20th birthday. We chose the restaurant so he could have Sushi. He was the only one of 7 that ate sushi. For medium/larger size groups, it should be priced individually. The food was pretty mediocre, except for the sushi; according to Ethan, it was Outstanding, so thanks for that. I would like to see a separate charge for the buffet for if a customer doesn't want to order off the menu. We've been to several Asian buffets, and the food is tastier, and much more reasonably priced. Maybe the robot experience is too expensive! I can't believe this place has 4 stars honestly. The food was all horrible. The only thing I liked was the avocado salad-but mind you it was only 3 ingredients. All the "hot" food was barely warm. The California roll was soggy, the pepper shrimp was rubbery, the cooler they use for ice had the scoop inside the cooler with the handle touching the ice. I watched about 6-10 ppl use the scoop and put it back inside the cooler where the handle was touching all the ice. Went about two weeks ago. Well worth it. The garlic butter steak is awesome. The sushi is really good. I would recommend to try this place. Matter of fact we are going to go again here in the next day or two. We did the good plan. The 15 minute rule? Not even an issue.
