Shinsen Express has always had great customer service, Ive been going there ever since I was a kid…read moreand it was one of my mother's favorite places and I think it may be my favorite as well considering the price, location, and quality. I will say that has fluctuated over the years but the food has never been bad and I've seen dramatic improvements. The food always tastes fresh ( of course if you dine in is when it tastes the best) even ordering takeout, the chicken is nice and crispy and are in perfect bite sized pieces so it's cooked evenly and nice and tender with every bite, the rice is nice and fluffy and flavorful ( I do wish it had a bit more veggies but that's just me not everyone likes a lot of veggies ). The noodles are good and have a salty, savory soy sauce glaze with veggies like broccoli, zucchini, and cabbage included. Their sushi is the best and freshest sushi I've had anywhere around here with reasonable pricing, I highly recommend the chimney rock sushi roll if you're looking for a sweet and spicy kick! It's delicious! I really like the sauce that comes with every meal, it is a bit on the sweeter side and may not be for everyone though, and I'll say the same thing about the Crab Rangoons they're a bit on the sweeter side which at first is odd but they are not bad at all they still have a nice crunch to them and a decent bit of crab meat (a lot of restaurants also use sugar as a filler,I'm assuming they do the same). Their prices have gone up within the past year or so but so has the price of everything else in general so I don't blame them because they are a small family owned business. I did see some reviews mentioning portion sizes and I agree for a bit there their portions were a bit small, but when I went recently I was pleased to see a good amount of chicken and a full tray of rice, I was satisfied and had leftovers for the next day! I haven't tried everything on their menu, but the things I have tried I've genuinely enjoyed so I encourage more people to at least check it out and give it a try if you're in the area!

We had a lovely talk about food and how wonderful the food was. The food is authentic and spice can be adjusted. It was my bf first time having Pho and he would definitely be ordering it again. He ordered chicken pho and the broth was clean and flavorful. Had plenty of noodles and chicken in it. Came with bean sprouts, cilantro and jalapeno. Siracha and Hoisin sauce on side. Next we had the pork shumai. Boy was this delicious. Came with 5pcs and a delicious plum sauce. I definitely will order this again. Last I ordered the Sesame chicken. I would easily say the star of the show. The breading on the chicken was light and crispy with a perfect thick glaze sauce. The side of jasmine rice made it a great hearty meal. All in all it was a great meal and if you haven't tried it please support this local business.

I guess the pan-Asian aspect is why my ma po tofu came with what looked like some Thai peppers, but the point for me is that I ordered it spicy and it really was. A green salad was fairly basic but a nice option to have. It has moderate vegetarian options. For a convenient meal, it was a 3.5 kind of place for me.

I recommend the fried offerings, shrimp shumai, the egg rolls for sure, they are excellent. The dumplings are fine, the octopus balls are great, but off the menu I think. The dipping sauces for these is a favorite of mine. I typically get a sushi burrito. I recommend a spicy hot cheeto in one, it weirdly works with the right combination of stuff. The marinated tuna is alright and so is a shrimp tempura as protein. Otherwise, whatever you like. I typically do carrots, edamame, oshinko (pickled, radish I suspect), maybe seaweed salad. Avocado is nice, but of course has an up upcharge. Pretty good, the poke bowls are decent too, I hear.

A bunch of veggies along with yum yum sauce on top. Got the seaweed on the side since my husband don't like it. I was not wanting to eat too much so we shared this. I did eat the tuna and some of the spicy but couldn't eat anymore. Everything was nice and fresh. The employee was very understating being our first time here. We really enjoyed this and would stop back for sure. This is the fast food of sushi if your in a hurry. They work pretty fast and you could have your food within minutes. Don't pass it by if you like poke bowls.

Ordering was easy with the worker but there was also an iPad to order off of that looked like it had photos on it which is helpful. I got the summer roll and pad Thai. The summer roll came with no shrimp and very basil-forward, which is not like any of the other summer rolls I've had in other locations. The pad Thai dish was nice size considering the $18 price and it was tasty, they included a nice amount of bean sprouts! My friends liked their udon noodles and pot stickers. My friend ordered a side of fried rice and it didn't look like normal fried rice, but we saw a plate of fried rice go out to another table and it looked like it should have so not sure what happened there. Overall happy with our visit and glad we came!
