I got the giant pretzel for an appetizer, it's big enough to split between two people. Came out piping hot and needed to wait for it to cool down but once it did, it was excellent with the cheese dip! My friend ordered a burger that she said was excellent and ate all of very fast, but the bacon seemed a little flimsy and she suspected wasn't cooked enough. She set it to the side. I got the fish and chips, though I wasn't supposing that it would be SINGULAR fish and chips because it was only one largish piece of fish. It was good, but I really would have appreciated two of them at least, even if the size was a bit smaller. The fries on my plate were left mostly untouched because it seems like they went a bit nuts on the spices. I like spicy food every once in a while but these seemed a bit too much, it was hard to tell the color of the fries through the layer of spice. I got the beignet straws for dessert and shared them with my friend but we ended up eating about 8 of them and packing up the rest, they were drenched in grease and the powdered sugar didn't quite absorb it all. They were absolutely excellent with the caramel though! Later in the day I did get a bit sick from the amount of grease in the food I ate but I would be lying if I said the appetizer and main course didn't taste great! There is a good selection of beer and they have several of our favorite local breweries. Service is always prompt and friendly and there is plenty of room for parties. The space is big and airy. Visiting on a Sunday afternoon for dinner while taking in a Braves game on the giant screen. This hidden gem is large on the inside. Lots of TV screens and a large selection of drafts. Stopped in for a Saturday lunch, and it was pretty empty. Service was spot on spectacular! Now the downside... I tried "Georgia's best reuben" and was totally underwhelmed. Holy crap! Literally roach infested! 2 roaches visited us at our table tonight within 5 minutes of each other. The first one a small one and I was thinking "gross" but must be a fluke because if I was a baby roach that's exactly where I would want to be. We're going to go with a two star here because of a few things- a) the service was good, I was never left wanting for a refill, napkin, spoon, dips etc. Our server was extremely attentive. b) the burgers were very tasty. Solid food all around, everyone enjoyed their meal. c) it's a great environment for our family with kids who are sometimes loud. Now onto the reason we left in a sour mood. We ordered two burgers, two beers and two mixed drinks and a kids meal. Nothing fancy, a normal meal out for us plus a few drinks. The beer prices are not posted in the menu but hey, it's on tap beer, you're expecting $3-6 right? We had two pours that were EIGHT dollars each. That's a six pack of decent beer at the store. Absolutely outrageous. I had two bloody Mary's. I hardly ever drink, I'm typically a light weight but hey, it was a good week, we wanted to celebrate and we had a DD. I ended up drinking them fairly quickly because the kids were getting rowdy and we wanted to leave. I felt literally nothing. If these things had a tablespoon of alcohol in them I'd be surprised. They did at least use a decent mixer so it tasted good but what's the point of blowing $14 on two cups of tomato juice? So here we are. You can build your own burger or select one of their own creations. You have the option of selecting your meat, your bun, your cheese, your toppings, etc...The American Kobe with pimiento cheese and smoked applewood bacon sounded really tasty to me, so I decided to give it a try. They even had jalepeno ranch to dip my fries in. When my burger arrived I was a little disappointed, just a flat perfectly shaped patty sitting between two buns, no lettuce, pickles,tomatoes, no presentation. The flavor wasn't bad, it was decent, nothing to write home about...I guess I just I just had higher expectations. Ok, now why am I just giving it 3 stars? I feel kind of guilty because maybe I shouldn't complain because the alternative would be way worse, but the waitress, kept coming over to check on me. It started to get annoying and felt kind of intrusive. She offered my check before I finished eating and right after delivering my drink and even tried to take my plate while I was eating. I actually paid my check and didn't order anything else, although I probably would have, just so she'd leave me alone. I have a feeling she must be new to this, but still. Went here for a birthday dinner and left less than impressed. I had called the day before and asked if they took reservations. They said they do not normally, but since I had a group, they would be sure something was set up in advance. When our party arrived, however, nothing was set up and the hostess said she had no idea about any reservations. After being seated, we ordered some food and, honestly, I think it went down from there. We ordered the calamari which it states have a Thai chili sauce with it - which I normally love. These calamari, however, were completely smothered in the sauce and the taste was overwhelming. The pieces of calamari inside were tiny and could not be tasted at all through the breading and heavy sauce. I order calamari frequently at restaurants as it is one of my favorite appetizers and I can honestly say this was the grossest calamari I have ever tasted and most of the dish went uneaten. Now on to the main meal. I got the medium buffalo wings, which, to be honest were pretty good. Very hot and fresh, a good size, and not swimming in sauce (unlike the calamari). Our table tried several different types of fries and all went uneaten. I had the regular that state they come with their seasoning on it. I'm not entirely sure what was in the seasoning, but it was covering every inch of the fries and tasted like they mainly just dumped paprika all over them. It was inedible. Another member of our party got the garlic fries which came with a similar seasoning but also had garlic chunks dumped all over them. Typically a garlic fry had a garlic SEASONING SALT on them, not runny garlic from a jar. It was disgusting and those too went uneaten. Yet another member of our party tried the pickle fries (fried pickles in the shape of fries) and was underwhelmed as well as they were mainly batter. While I did enjoy my wings, many others at the table got burgers - and many burgers were left largely uneaten by the end. I was told the meat quality was extremely poor and the burgers had bad flavor as a result. Our waitress seemed nice enough; however, she would frequently disappear for long periods of time. And, considering the amount of food left uneaten on the table you would have thought she would at least ask if everything was okay. Yet that never happened. When we got our checks, there was a paper inside saying you can get $10 off your bill for a birthday. As we were there for a birthday, we asked if it would apply. The waitress instantly said no, you have to do it online. I understand normal processes and following them; however, when you have someone whose birthday it is sitting right there, good customer service instincts should kick in and you make it happen. But alas, she did not seem to care that we all hated our food, never asked how anything was, refused the birthday discount and I'm not sure she ever even smiled. Overall, except for the wings I had, this place was terrible and I plan on never returning. I only gave it a 2-star over the 1 for the wings. Otherwise, avoid as much as possible. read more

A nice bed of spring mix or spinach and arugula would have elevated this salad so much. The service was great attended and greeted very friendly. To begin with the place is pretty big they also have a sitting area outside. Also the Bar side is pretty amazing. Their drinks menu is so long they have wine, beer, crafted beer, liquor, and whiskey. In addition the food that I got which was the Chicken tenders weren't that good, but the fries were great. My friends got the other plates which they didn't like either. As well I got dessert but I forgot to take a picture of it. We used to (years ago, before Covid) come here pretty frequently for a beer and a burger or wings. Pleasant enough place, lots of beers, but kind of noisy when people showed up with their kids. It was OK. Today, 6/17/23, it was quiet, I ordered a Modelo Negra and chicken fingers broiled. My wife had some kind of quesadilla. The beer was warm and was an Especial, not Negra. No worries. I've never had a bad beer. The chicken fingers resembled a small mutilated rodent, the fries were undercooked or mushy, and the little serving of coleslaw was warm and weirdly seasoned, possibly dangerous. My wife's quesadillas were soggy, had way too much stuff in them, and quite possibly an entire jar of jalapeño slices. Boy. It was rough. We didn't finish any of it and, not surprisingly, the waitress didn't seem surprised when she asked "How was everything?" and we said "not good." She was nice, though. Good waitress. read more

SOOOOOOO after my boyfriend pulls up to this joint, I'm looking at him like is he for serious b/c this place doesn't look like the type of place I'd typically go to (sort of run down looking, kind of out of our way to where he lives). What we ordered: -CHICKEN FLATBREAD: We didn't find anything in the appetizer menu that really drew us in, so we opted for a pizza to share as an app. The flatbread is EXTREMELY cheesy so beware. That might not be a problem for some people, but I can't do that much cheese in one sitting so I had to pick about 3/4 of the cheese off in order to consume. It's not your typical flatbread---it's loaded with toppings and sort of resembles a fully loaded crunchy bread with lots of toppings/cheese on top. 3 stars -BLACKENED GROUPER SANDWICH: YUM! Fish was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and came between deliccccious and fluffy french bread. I opted for the side salad as my side item...what I liked about it was instead of croutons, they use mustard flavored pretzels as the crunch. Yum! -KENMORE BURGER: If you are looking for the king of burgers, I'd suggest ordering this. This burger is HHUUUGGEE! Basically, if you like decently priced, HUGE PORTIONS, Summits Wayside Tavern is the way to go. I'd like to point out that our server was on point with everything. I kept seeing this place pop up on "best burger" lists but I haven't made it until now. Wife ordered the patty melt and I got the Kobe burger and fries. First the bad, The patty melt came out and the onions were actually cold ... obviously they have to pre-prepare them but they weren't even warmed on the grill when the burger was cooked .... my burger came out ok but we need to be honest about all this. If you're looking for a little better ambiance with food the quality of like an average chain restaurant then you're good but if you expect something on the "best burger of Atlanta list" this is not your place .... it basically seems like a boxed frozen burger patty thrown on a grill and I'm not even convinced the "Kobe" patty with the upcharge was any different than the regular restaurant style burger patty like chilis or something ..... it wasn't bad, I wouldn't say it was disappointing but when you build up from a list that says this place has one of the best burgers in the Atlanta area you're going to be very, very, thoroughly, disappointed. Added to this, avoid the nachos ... I mean really, just no. If you're expecting pub style nachos with meat, cheese, the regular fixins, etc you won't like this, it's like soupy beans and chilly just poured over chips with some cheese .... it makes them wet, soggy and gross then they just pile a bunch of stuff on top so you don't see what's going on underneath ..... the service was great though and the manager, Roger, was nice enough to fix my wife's burger, take the nachos off the tab and even sent us over an order of their desert funnel cake like fries on the house ..... and this is where it gets good. I would go back to this place just for this desert, I've never seen something like this not at a fair or something and it was DELICIOUS .... so all things being equal, they do some things very well, and some things meh .... but the food is decent enough to sit down for and isn't too expensive ... and the service was great... and when they did fall down food wise the service made up for it pretty well but go somewhere else if you want a special, amazing burger because this probably isn't your place. read more

I have been coming to this place for 19 years. I left the ATL for 13 of them but I continue to comeback for their delicious wings and beer selection. Pete was a bartender 19 years ago and still there. He is such a pleasant person to be around when you have a rough day. The menu items have evolved and the food has gotten better. This was a great find. Two visits thus far and we are hooked. First there are many great appetizers. We love the fried pickles, kimchi fries, German pretzel with cheese (awesome mustard) and buffalo dip. First visit I tried the corned beef. That was really good. On my second trip I tried the mushroom Swiss burger. I was surprised when the burger arrived. It was huge! And I did enjoy it!! The menu is varied with lots of different types of food. They have deli items like corned beef and pastrami sandwiches, fajitas and quesadillas, huge selection of burgers, salads and other items. Then there's in insane selection of draft beer!!!
