The receptionist was efficient, though not overly pleasant, which is not a big deal. (Hey, I wouldn't want to start dealing with all types of patients beginning at 8 a.m. either!) The imaging technician was lovely and patient, explaining what was going to happen and making conversation, which made the entire visit fly by. (She's the reason for four stars instead of three.) The CT scanner appeared to be state of the art, while the x-ray machine also seemed to be of a current generation. It was a pleasure to undergo two sets of imaging procedures, and I was in and out within 20 minutes.

They changed my appointment three times without notifying me. Every time I called to confirm, they couldn't even find my information. When I showed up after taking a full day off work, they still had no idea who I was. I was forced to repeat my phone number and email over and over to multiple staff members who clearly had no clue what they were doing--constant holds, transfers, and excuses. As a result of their incompetence, I lost $500 in wages for absolutely nothing. Twice I was given the wrong address and I even told them 445 Chestnut St. in Edison New Jersey is an empty field. Twice they told me Edison New Jersey when it is Union New Jersey! This place is run by mental midgets who I would never ever never recommend them to anyone unless I really didn't like the person. Their three-star rating makes sense--this appears to be a pattern, not a fluke. Do not go here. If you value your time, your job, or basic professionalism, take your business elsewhere. This place is a complete mess. There are much better places to get an open air MRI for a CAT scan there are some great ones in Edison New Jersey that have nothing to do with this place you could find some in New Brunswick as well stay away from NJIN Union New Jersey and the morons that work at this place. Even when there were renewals and confirmations in order from the clients doctor, they did the leg work of contacting the doctor themselves which is a big help for me so I don't have to call and wait, as I'm not a medical facility. My client who needs a lot of physical accommodation stated that the technicians were nice and patient with him which I think is important, as I did not accompany him to testing. Only thing about here is the building shares sort of little coffee snack shop, often found in business buildings or offices where multiple providers work out of. This one's shop is just paltry. It looks like someone just went to the supermarket and put some snack bags in there and then that same person brought their coffee maker to serve of some coffee then charge you for it. It's just kinda inadequate when I've seen much better at other buildings. Unfortunately you'd better grab your coffee and snack before coming here or you'll be stuck with the options here, no place else to go. If you're coming for imaging though, hopefully it won't be any issue with staff or a limited coffee shop.

I don't think the machine was the greatest. I've had a 3D ultrasound with a prior pregnancy and my experience there was soooo much better then this place. I called and got a quick appointment (Barnabas wanted 4 weeks, Morristown wanted 4 weeks, Rahway got me in 10 days). Sheryl at registration was very polite and professional. The doctor sent the wrong form and she called and got the right one in minutes. She walked me down to CT Scan when we were done registering. Once I got into CT Scan, I encountered Stephanie, Solomon, Shannen, Maureen and Miriam. Two of them were trainees. Everyone was very polite, kind, professional, and concerned about my wellbeing. Shortly after I got home, I had the Scan report. Things went smoothly. I want to Thank all of them for politeness, professionalism, concern and efficiency. Rahway had a great cafeteria after my pre-scan fasting. And I love the 'small' parking lot - with more than ample parking and a short walk, vice the monster parking garage with a long walk - I'm handicapped and have a hard time navigating long walks.
