I've never been through a process of getting an MRI as quick as I have here. Earlier in the week I was contacted by the receptionist to book my appointment. Easy peasy! I went in on a Saturday morning at 10am and I was out the door within 10 minutes! Like I walked into a time portal and traveled through a lengthy ordeal of getting a scan and to my truck without blinking my eyes. The clinician who helped me was super informative and personable. She made me feel very comfortable and at ease. I would say some of those 10 minutes was me chatting her up haha. read more

Scheduling an appointment is absolutely impossible. The people who work the phones want to review personal medical information with you and contradict what you were told by the doctor and what you know yourself to be true. They are rude and condescending which is especially worse because you are dealing with a possibly serious medical concern. read more

My MD instructed me to have lumbar spine imaging done by Hackensack Radiology because I had a prior study done by them in 2023 and it was on the portal. He requested the radiologist compare the studies and I reiterated that request TWICE; once when making the appointment; and again when I checked in, I had the second study done on 7/22./25. The report when posted said "no comparison study available." SO, I called on 7/25. Today is 7/28, I am seeing my MD tomorrow...and there is NO REVISED STUDY on my portal. This is totally unacceptabLe and I will be posting this review on all available public sites. read more

12/15/2025 I was at Hackensack Hospital for a CT scan. I had an appointment scheduled for 6:00 AM, but I was only seen at 7:20 AM. They have terrible management, because the service is awful, and it's absurd to wait 1 hour and 20 minutes for a CT scan. When you ask what's happening, they just say "we're a little behind. You'll be seen in a few minutes." And they keep making you wait. When I said I was leaving and wouldn't be doing the scan anymore, they told me I would be seen in 5 minutes. But I still waited another 11 minutes, and only when I was asking for my papers to leave did they finally call me. When I was finally seen, the CT scan itself only took 5 minutes. Something is very wrong, because there weren't that many people there to be seen for me to have to wait 1 hour and 20 minutes. Someone isn't doing their job properly. The management needs to take action. When this happens, it means the administration isn't coordinating and supervising the staff to ensure everyone is fulfilling their duties. I had a great experience at Hackensack Radiology. Making an appointment and checking in on line was a breeze. From the moment I arrived to the moment I left I was met by very friendly staff. I didn't get the name of the receptionist nor the gentleman who called me to the back but they were great. He knew I was nervous and he was very comforting. Went for an MRI. Check in was done online so there was nothing to do when I walked in except to give my name. Perfect. Didn't wait 5 minutes before I was called back. Belongings go into a locker and you get the key of course, until your visit is finished. They give you earplugs and also headphones with music. It doesn't cover the sound of that crazy loud machine (think being on a construction site with drills starting every few minutes), but it's better than without for sure. Everyone I encountered was extremely pleasant. The visit was quick and I'd highly recommend them! read more

Be careful with this practice. Before making an appointment, I called to see if they take UnitedHealth Care and was told that they do. Two months later I received a statement stating that they no longer accept UnitedHealth care and a balance of $798.00 is due. This is not how people should be treated read more

I had a great experience today and what a relief , as most people come to these imaging places are usually coming for pain or a possibility of something wrong it makes such a difference to not just get in and out but friendly and great service and that what it was today . This is like calling 1-800 black hole: 1. Scheduling an appointment was a nightmare - and never happened 2. three days of calling and staying on hold and no answer 3. Call Back service- yup...signed up for it and never got a call back 4. One time someone picked up and again "we'll call you right back" - never happened 5. Front desk is arrogant and are "doing you a favor" attitude. The imaging machines to the work. It is the staff's responsibility to make this scary process as welcoming and painless as possible. You can find an infinite amount of places to get an image and will be treated with more professionalism and empathy than this place! or...if you want to feel like you're being put through the mill because making money is what it's all about then....this is the place for you. read more

This place is horrible !!!! My physician sent 4 prescriptions for MRI and Stress test. I called the office after I was directed by my physicians office to make an appointment for either Monday PM or Tuesday AM. I called and spent with this person and said I had an appointment for Tuesday AM and they do perform stress tests. I received a call on Saturday to make another appointment for the stress test and MRI'S. They had no record of my appointment that I made the previous day . They need to get organized and maybe if a few people don't go there , they will get organized. They still Stink !!! read more

Had a thyroid Ultra scan today, excellent service, pre-registration was simple and took just a couple minutes. Was taken exactly on time, no problems. This place is terrible. I received my results and the test was inadequate. They couldn't see my whole bowel, and yet they charged me. I called my insurance as well. I did take my cd to my surgeon at Sinai and he inflammation and possible, just can't tell because the scan sucked. Please do not go here. The people are nice, but being nice isn't going to solve your health issue. read more

Worst place ever. Staff is beyond rude- and need records and try to call but are unable to call for yourself for medical reasons and have a BLOOD relative call? BE PREPARED FOR THEM TO BE AS UNHELPFUL AND NASTY AS POSSIBLE. Literally complete and total garbage. read more

Having the test was a great experience. Surviving the billing process is a nightmare. Your recieve bills demanding payment even though the insurance paid in full a month earlier. Then the billing representative still insists on sending not only that bill to collection but one they haven't even billed yet. My family will no longer use this group because of their arrogant billing agency. read more

I went to Newman Street Imaging for a CT when I got there they gave me a tablet with a form to agree to. The Forum had options to agree to let them share my info with any one that they want to. I chose the option to restrict the release of my info. The tablet would not let me continue with the option I chose. I went up to the desk and asked them about it they told me they will not except the other option that's on the form. They refuse to accept and agree to the paperwork that they gave me to agree to. read more

A wonderful facility that is clean,friendly, and professional. I had an appointment at 12 got there early at 11:30 and was seen by 11:45! I was in and out of my CAT scan in about 10 minutes! Even before my scheduled appointment time I was in and out already! Couldn't ask for better! read more

Professional reception. Plenty of parking. Clean and spacious. Friendly and courteous. Punctual. Good protocols on cleanliness. Appreciated the plus size gowns. Had a nuclear stress test. Techs and md were caring and communicated well. The only down side was the wait area by the machines was uncomfortable, and in a corridor. Received reports in a timely manner. read more

Excellent and very clean facility. From the person I spoke to on the phone to schedule the procedure to the technician who managed the procedure the people at this Imaging Center were fantastic. I arrived on time, completed the paper work and (with no wait time) was immediately taken in to begin the procedure. This is the WORST place to go for any radiological procedure.....especially, an MRI of the Neurological system.....they lie to you.....as a request to have a specialist read the MRI study...they assured that it would be read....IT WAS NOT ! ..had to take the scan to a professional in NYC and had it reread.....so many things were totally MISSED.......they also lie about taking your insurance as payment in full....they do not let you know that there is any sort of balance.....they send it to a collection company even if they neglected to have it filed with your insurance carrier.......RUN!!! My mother suffered a stroke a little over two months ago, since then it has been a nightmare dealing with hospitals, rehab centers, doctors-you name it. The one bright spot was Hackensack Radiology-what an efficient, professional operation! We were in and out so fast I was amazed AND they don't cut down on friendly, caring service either. No matter what they pay the staff, it's not enough. This is an example of how many businesses should be run. read more
