With me being a…read moreconcerned mother I took her to the hospital due to me not being able to get a appointment through the office. After leaving the hospital they informed me to follow up with my pediatrician to see how's my child doing. My child begun to get sicker, so I called the office ( after hours ) the after hour receptionist took my message and informed me the doctor on call will call me back. It was during the Buffalo bills game, doctor Dr. Ehlenfield returned my phone call back. Once he called back he was very rude informing me that it's inappropriate to call him while he's at home with" this situation " the situation of my child being sick... then he processes to tell me it's nothing he can do for my child take her to the hospital " if I think she so sick " instead of being professional saying " I'm sorry to hear your concerns, tomorrow I'll get your child in first thing in the morning " instead it went a different way. I proceeded to tell him I don't feel comfortable with him seeing my child I want her recommend nurse to see her because since she's been going I prefer my child to see one person which is Anna. Fyi she's really great and nice and patient with my child. He informs me my child will not be seeing anyone but him after I mentioned multiple time I was uncomfortable with him seeing her due to him saying my medical concerns was not important. We got into a heated argument due to I didn't like how he was handling the situation and this is his practice. So the next day instead of bringing my child to the office I took her to the hospital where they later inform me she has an ear infection. On the discharge papers it states follow up with your doctor on her ear infection. So I called the office to make an appointment. I explained the the receptionist how I was upset and frustrated but nothing directing towards her. She was also very rude refusing my service stating my child is not getting a appointment which also led into a heated argument, then I proceeded to inform him I want my child to be seen I also mentioned I wanted blood work done on my child due to Dr. Ehlenfield saying my nephew had led and low iron after my sister followed up with the hospital she learned her child didn't so I became more concerned since he started my child has low iron and to give her medication. They also told me she's not getting blood work or being seen. She transferred me to the supervisor which was also very rude informing me they are denying my child to be seen her very words " there is no reason for your child to be seen " my child has an ear infection and was prescribed antibiotics from the hospital I'm no doctor how would I know when the ear infection is gone with out a follow up. They informed me that I was lying the hospital never told me to follow up with them but it's on the discharge papers.. I hope no other parent have to experience a doctor telling you , that your child being sick is not appropriate and I shouldn't had called while he was home like he don't get paid to take phone calls from home. I'll definitely be taking my child to another pediatrician who actually cares for their patients

People don't go to the doctor for nothing just to have a basic conversation about the weather. obviously I was in a lot of foot pain and it was my first time to go to any foot doctor about my flat feet pain. I come from a different state and I didn't know feet doctor was a real thing. I chose this location because it was closer to my living and work, so luckily the bad reception push me to go to a better pediatrist who was much more helpful. Yall doctors need to learn, your receptionist can cause your office to not get paid due to bad customer service . understand who you hire.

However the real issue is the "professionals" and their vaccine policy that they try to push and push even after you refuse and are told you can refuse without repercussions but in the end there are repercussions, very real and very scary repercussions that left myself my wife and most importantly our daughter without a pediatrician because we were told we are not welcome there if we didn't follow their vaccine regimen, again after being told there wouldn't be consequences leaving us with false hope that maybe these people actually did care about children but don't be fooled like we were, they do not. All they care about is vaccines being pumped into tiny human beings that weigh less than a sack of potatoes and that's it, they didn't care that our daughter had an ear infection and had a UTI at the same time, they didn't care that she was sick, they didn't care that she wasn't gaining weight, in the end all they cared about was getting what I can only assume was some kind of compensation for vaccinating another 8lb newborn. In the end after questioning their mortality we were told to leave and we were not welcomed there, they didn't give us an alternative, we were left with a sick child that we had to take to urgent care instead. Everyone who works for these immunization facilities needs to reflect on the real reason they are in the profession of pediatric care, it shouldn't be to push narratives it should be to help sick children. Thank almighty god that not everyone thinks like them though and there are facilities out there that will care for a sick child no matter what.

Once actually in the office, everything always runs smoothly and the providers are always compassionate, professional and thorough. I appreciate that they directly talk with my children, letting them know that they are important. If any follow-up is needed or when I call with concerns for my kids, the nurses are always compassionate and helpful.

The way this situation was handled was inappropriate, rude, unprofessional, and completely unnecessary. Jessica entered the situation without taking the time to understand what was actually happening. She never introduced herself, never made any meaningful attempt to hear my concerns, and, most importantly, never acknowledged or took responsibility for the fact that I have now made five separate attempts to obtain a simple report or note from a therapist at this practice. Five requests for basic documentation should not have resulted in this level of frustration or confrontation. I want a clear explanation as to why this request has still not been fulfilled. What is preventing Tonawanda Pediatrics from providing this documentation? Why have five requests gone unanswered or unresolved? More concerning was Jessica's conduct during today's interaction. Rather than attempting to resolve the matter professionally, she proceeded to threaten me by stating that my 7-year-old daughter could be kicked out of the practice. That is completely unacceptable. A parent raising a legitimate concern regarding their child's care and requesting documentation should not be threatened with the removal of their child from the medical practice simply because they are asking questions and seeking answers. I am therefore requesting that practice leadership immediately investigate: * Jessica's conduct during today's incident; * Why my request for the therapist's report/note has not been fulfilled after five attempts; * Why I was threatened with the possibility of my daughter being removed from the practice; * Whether Jessica's conduct was consistent with the standards expected of someone serving as an office manager; and * What steps will be taken to ensure that my daughter does not experience any adverse treatment because I raised these concerns. Given the seriousness of what occurred, I strongly believe Jessica's conduct warrants immediate administrative review and consideration of whether she should remain in her position. I am not looking for an argument. I am looking for accountability, an explanation, and professional treatment. Most importantly, this concerns the care of my 7-year-old daughter. I expect Tonawanda Pediatrics to treat both of us with the professionalism, respect, and courtesy that should be expected from a pediatric medical practice. Sick visits just depend on their schedules, but I've never had a bad sick visit provider. They have an entire lactation team there which has saved mine and baby's lives more than a few times. Stephanie and Sara are so comprehensive (and didn't judge me for crying!) and spend a lot of time evaluating the baby's latch, suck, and weight to ensure our breastfeeding success. I have only great things to say about the providers we see most often, Dr. Wolf, Dr. Hoelscher, and Stephanie PNP. Hours are great too. Open on weekends 8-5 and until 8pm on weeknights. A wonderful add-on for us working moms.

Her attitude was condescending and intolerant when I asked her to answer questions that I had. For a pediatrician's office, more care should be placed in making the office welcoming to children (age appropriate colors, toys, etc). Doctors should take time to introduce themselves to the children. It is a simple request to have doctors patiently and kindly answer parents' questions. I have never felt so unwelcome at a medical professional's office before. Answering simple questions is part of standard professional practice.

I was always happy with all the dr's here and appreciated that we ALWAYS saw a dr at each visit. There was rarely a wait of more than a few minutes, which is great when you have a baby or toddler. The dr's were always very supportive and reassuring, even when my son had trouble gaining weight as a newborn (they continued to encourage my breastfeeding) and later when he had some very delayed gross motor skills. I would have stayed with these pediatricians forever if we hadn't moved!
