I've only been to this place once. It's a one and done for me. I got ombré French nails. The gel powder was put on too thick according to a friend who gets her nails done regularly. The set lasted a month before lifting, so that was nice. The interior looks fancy although this place is in a strip mall. They have nail desks on both sides of the salon and foot spas in the back. This was my second visit at this location. The design and set up of this establishment is gorgeous. It's very spacious, and clean! The pedicure area is well taken cared of, and did NOT have a foul smell that lingered from the pedicure bowl as other establishments have had. I have done the gel pedicure both visits and it has lasted for about a month (taking about the first pedicure, as I just had them do my nails today). Lexi has done my manicure each time and I'm in LOVE with the shape, design, and my nail beds. She is not very rough when she does your manicure. She's very polite, funny, and holds a conversation well. If you want a design, ask for her and book an appointment ASAP, she's the best in KC, and her detailing is phenomenal! I asked for a Palm Tree today, and it's the best damn palm tree I've ever seen on nails. Both visits I have done the gel pedicure and the dipping powder with tips added for my manicure. I work outside (opening and closing a mobile store on a truck and my nails have broken due to user error haha, so my nails lasted about 2 1/2 weeks but if you work indoors they'd last longer). It is a timely process as my manicure did take longer than normal but the staff is very thorough. Your Nail tech ask questions along the way making sure you're satisfied with the work. The staff is very friendly, fun and extremely knowledgeable about nail art and what works and what doesn't. You receive a discount for paying with cash, and you can pay with card also. They have gift cards too. I love this place because the selection for nail colors is very large (dip powder and gel). The establishment is very modern, as you check-in using the iPad at the desk. This place has a glam vibe to it. The only thing that would make my visit even more superb would be champagne on ice or even water served during the visit. Since moving to lees summit this is my go to nail salon. I find the nails last long and they have a lot of gel color choices. I always get the same nail tech (I don't know his name) but he is slow, meticulous and takes his time! He makes jokes and I enjoy when he does my nails. Zero status! Here is why. I traveled to Missouri to visit with family. I asked my daughter in law to book an appointment with a nail salon since she knows the area. She booked an appointment with Summit Nail Spa location 1630 SE Blue Parkway Lees Summit, MO 64063 and said it's close to my house and she had never been there. Upon arrival we both ordered a lavender pedicure and a hot oil manicure. Pedicure was going along fine until the lady giving the manicure put the hot towels on me. She did not shake them off when they cam out of their heater/microwave to check to see how hot they were before putting them on my legs. Let's just say OUCH. The manicure was next, and the same lady came and brought a bowl out and told me to put my hands in and soak. So, I did. The oil was so hot it burnt my knuckles and it immediately blistered. I told her it was too hot and showed her what happened. She did not apologize, but instead starting gaslighting me and telling me it was my fault, and I was too sensitive and that it was fine for her. Even though you could clearly see the blister bubble on my knuckle. Then proceed to constantly say I was too sensitive and would not perform the rest of the service that I asked for. My daughter in law is a physician assistant and was an ICU nurse for years. She saw what happened and cancelled her oil manicure. We both were so appalled at the lack of professionalism and common courtesy for injuring me. Not one single apology came from this person. She did not ask if I needed medical assistance or even a band aid. I would not recommend this place to anyone and believe they should be checked by the state who gave them a license. The color on my toes faded soon after I walked out of summit Nail Salon. It is now clear but pink on the periphery of the nails. I've never had this happen. I called 10 days after the pedicure with gel polish. Manager Dan said there was nothing he could do. Daughter also has gel pedicure that chipped same day. I went for a pedi. At first the lady was nice until I said I only wanted the basic pedi. Let me tell you. It was below basic and the young lady was down right rude. She told me my heels are dry and next time get a more expensive pedi. I have had. Many many pedis and they alway scrub the dead, dry skin off. Not here. Not for the basic. $35 for a nail painting. I have been two times to get a gel pedicure. The first time was amazing, and the techs took their time on both my friends and my pedicure. Both techs were very friendly and talkative. This time I went in with the same friend to have a pedicure done before my baby came. The pedicures were very rushed, nothing relaxing about them. The gentlemen who did mine was very rough, even after asking him to be easy with my feet and toes with the tools and his grip. Two times during my pedicure the gentlemen left to take a smoke break. Which resulted in an overly smoky smell to finish out what should've been a relaxing time. To end it all, I had to ask the guy to scrub more on my feet and fix things as he rushed through it all. All other local salons charge $30 for a Gel manicure. Someone listed in their review you pay less if you pay in cash?? He asked do you want squared or rounded. I said rounded, and he said rounded squared, I said rounded. He decided to do rounded squared anyway (I didn't know that was a thing). I came here for gel manicures with a friend, and I'm glad I didn't read the reviews before I came in, or else I might have been scared away! We came as walk-ins and were seated immediately. The nail techs worked really quickly. I think we were both in and out within 30 min, so this would likely make an excellent lunch hour manicure stop. My daughter stopped in Summit Nail Spa to have nails done . She flew in for her Bridal Shower. The male nail tech was rough and telling her she wasn't holding her hands right. He was in a rush so he used the dremel in excess causing her natural nail to split!! She paid and we went to the car . She started crying because she knew something was wrong. Her nails were burning. I went back inside , to tell them she was crying and some thing was wrong . They said no refund she needs to come back in. She was not about to. Upon returning home and going to her nail salon . He was immersed upset and wanted to know what tech (thinking some one from his salon did her nails ). She then told him she had done in missouri for her bridal shower. He said all her nails are critically thin, with one being split down to her natural nail bed!! He was so upset , he is watching her closely for infection. That's why she had so much pain!! The SUMMIT NAIL SPA on 1630 Blue Parkway LSMO Refused anything but to try and fix it. It cant be fixed!!! Its like adding hair once it's cut too short. I have only been to the salon once. It was one of the worst experiences. I came the day before my wedding to get a manicure and pedicure along with my three daughters. The technician giving me a pedicure cut my toe while filing my toenails. Another technician cut my daughter's finger while giving her a manicure. I spent over $200 for the four pedicures and four manicures and didn't even get a so sorry I cut two of you while providing our services. I left no tip. This salon is nice on the inside, but the staff members aren't very nice. The quality of their work isn't that great either, compared to previous experiences. One day my friend and I went to get our nails done around 6pm (they closed at 7). They seemed so offended that we would show up so close to "close", as they kept looking at the clock and rolling their eyes. They must have been in such a hurry because they had two different people working on my nails, ripping them off quickly (it actually hurt!). I usually come here to get my nails done and they aren't the best quality but it's close to my house and it's an ok price. Anyway I was leaving town and I needed to get my toes done quick. I went in and sat down very quickly so that was great. The people were nice but I had a few problems. 1) I wanted a flower painted on my toes and the lady that was originally doing mine couldn't do she asked another lady. This lady didn't talk to me, finished my toes, and got up and left. I didn't know if I was done and I sat there for 10+ mins and finally decided to get up and pay. I've been there 3 times. The nails techs are not consistent. There is one guy there that takes his time and does a decent job but I'm not impressed by the others. They seem irritated when you ask for any type of design and there was only one guy there who knows how to do them, as long as it's not too detailed. I had the worst experience here today. Two separate technicians caused me to bleed (woman who did my pedicure and a man who did my nails). I asked the man doing my nails for a dip manicure and never got a manicure (only polish application). I asked again during the process and he basically brushed it off. I then notice after I had left that there is a chemical stain on my purse that I am certain was not there when I went in. I called the salon to make a complaint to a manager. The manager, Dan Bui, called me back a short time later and could not care less about fixing the purse situation. He was instantly defensive and did not ask what happened but rather started right in on an excuse based on the conversation he had with his staff. He said that anyone can say they ruined their purse but they can't prove it and therefore the salon won't take responsibility. The only issue he seemed somewhat concerned about was the bleeding and asked if I would come back in so someone could look at that. I asked him what he was going to do about the purse and he said he would do nothing so I told him no I will not waste any more time of my day going back up there if he is not going to fix the situation. My friend and I had a pretty good service. We came in on a Thursday night and the place was dead, we were definitely not complaining. It was our first time, the interior was really posh and clean. The services were about average price but there were a few things that bothered me. First, if you are someone who does dip you're probably going to be disappointed with your color choices. I was looking for a deep burgundy to go with a sweater I'm wearing for Thanksgiving. I couldn't find anything remotely close. The extent of their color repertoire was neon pinks, greens, oranges, and various shades of red, along with the occasional neutral gray or nude. Second, I realized after I left that I got charged for a manicure but didn't receive a full manicure. My nails were not soaked, cuticles were not cut, my nails were pretty much shaped and the dip was applied. Lastly, employees were on their phones.. this was a huge issue especially because they actually had clients! In the middle of my friends' manicure her nail tech stopped for about 5 minutes to scroll through his missed text messages and catch up with his friends. It's one thing to check your phone in between clients but to stop in the middle of a service and get on your phone is really unprofessional. I can't say much about the quality of the services yet, it's been four days and my nails are holding up, I'm really hoping they make it to thanksgiving without any chips. read more

Yes they have a beautiful salon, but the gel manicures I got just didn't last and often times my nails were mis-shapened. Not a lot of attention to detail. Went in for an acrylic fill. The tech worked very slow and continued to make rude "jokes" about my relationship status and age/ appearance. The fill is not great and he did not make sure my nails were even on each hand, resulting in one hand's nails being noticeably longer than the other. He said my total was $15, and even double checked that price and said he would charge me $15, but the receipt and credit card charge shows $25- contrary to what he repeatedly told me.
