I've enjoyed coming to Nail Fantasy many times over the past 3-4 years. They do a great job and are always super friendly. I drive from Olathe to Lee's Summit and it's worth the drive. Nail Fantasy is very well staffed and I have never had to wait to get my nails done. Staff are very friendly and creative. I was able to get detailed holiday nails done and they did a great job! They are also very accommodating. I did not have any trouble managing my power wheelchair in their store to get a manicure. When I asked for a pedicure, they brought the foot soak to me and I was able to participate in my power wheelchair. read more

I had a good first experience here. It's a no frills type of nail salon, and seemed to have a fair number of regulars and walk ins. My job requires clear polish on my hands (I know- I mourn the opportunity for a fun shade of polish at a Manicure... but that's what work demands.) Kathy, my nail technician, did a very good job! Efficient, professional, we didn't chat much but that was just fine with me today; I was in a contemplative mood anyway. Very reasonable price for a Natural Manicure ($14) and she did an excellent job shaping my nails to my liking, checked with me, gave a brief but nice hand/forearm massage, and applied base and clear polish perfectly. I didn't have time for the Hot Oil Manicure $19 today, so the aprox 15 min Natural Manicure $14 was exactly what I was looking for. I'd come back again for sure! read more

I had gone here for 20 years and booked an appt for a set of nails and pedicure as I was leaving town the next morning. My mistake I had my time down as 10:30 and it was 10:15 I got there at 10:25 so I was 10 min late and owner said they could not take me at all. I was at a total loss to understand why they couldn't just do nails and skip the pedicure. I totally took responsibility for writing my time down wrong but the fact is I was only 10 minutes late for a 1015 appointment for a full set of nails and a pedicure and they couldn't take me at all so I will never go back and I guess it turned out to be a blessing in disguise because I drove straight down 291 to CREATIVR NAIL AND SPA and just did a walk-in with no problem whatsoever. The salon had 12 pedicure chairs, 12 nail stations at least 12 or 14 technicians. One gal did my pedicure while the other gal simultaneously did my nails so I was in and out in less than an hour and they did a phenomenal job the place is spic and span clean top-notch professional. I see why they have a five star rating and Nail Fantasy has a three star. Thank you Nail Fantasy for pushing me to another salon that actually values their customers! read more

I have been going to Nails Fantasy for 15 yrs for my acrylic nails and pedicures. Very friendly service and the quality of work is great.

Save your time and money and go somewhere else. They're over priced and the dip never looks good. It was splotchy and I tried to explain I wanted it differently and she said no so now I have overpriced nails that look like I did them myself. There are plenty of nail salons around town that do a much better job than this place read more

Mindy is excellent at customer service. Always positive, helpful & knows your name! Tammy is my favorite nail artist. She chooses a custom color & style each time I come in & always picks something better than I would choose myself. She has been there 14 years & it shows. Tammy has never sliced my cuticle, over filed or damaged my nails. She is gentle yet still fast and gets me in & out. She is timely with your appointment also I never have to wait past my appointment time. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. My mother and I went to get our pedicures done for her birthday. My mother doesn't drive and I seldom get out due to disabilities. We got out and had a good day until we arrived at this place. Both nail techs were rude, making comments to both of us in English and another language, about our feet. I turned on Google translator on my phone, and they were saying horrible things about us in their language. Our toenails were too long, my feet needed scrubbing, etc. I spoke up and asked what they were laughing at, and they both shut up. But I already knew because of the translation. I did not make a scene, and I left a tip. I did not want me or my mother retaliated against any further in their salon. We are 62 and 81, both disabled veterans. We did not deserve this. I hope they are ashamed of their behavior if they read this. read more

I was a walk-in shortly after opening and was able to get right in. The nail tech helped me find a color for my toes that matched the gel polish I picked. I had a pedicure and manicure. She did a very nice job and actually spent some time working on some rough spots in my feet. She checked in with me as she worked and did a nice job on my toes. Everything with my gel manicure was pretty standard. She tackled my cuticles, shaped my nails, applied the gel polish, and ended with a light arm massage. She worked quickly, but I never felt rushed. I didn't have any designs done so I can't speak to the quality of those services. Considering the close proximity to my home, reasonable prices, and the quality of the pedicure and gel manicure, I will go back. read more

My mother-in-law, daughter and I are regulars here. We've always had great service and friendly nail techs. We have a mani every two weeks and add a full service pedi every other time. I prefer dip and my daughter and mother in law like gel. Our polish always lasts 2-3 weeks. All the techs are great, but Tammy is my favorite. read more

Loved this place the first time I went here! I got a very nice lady the first time who knew what she was doing. I got the Dip nails, I loved them and they looked great!! I went back recently and I got another lady who seemed like she didn't know what she was doing.. She kept hitting my skin with the electric nail driller.. My nails were uneven, and hanging off the side of the nail. They were kind enough to let me come back and get them fixed but my skin hurt so bad that I didn't want anyone to even touch my fingers. Salon was not clean... Nail tech used a washcloth that had visible bits of other peoples cuticles stuck to it and the table was dusty. I was at the salon for over an hour for a simple acrylic set and paint. She ripped my natural nail while taking off an old tip and was very unfriendly. I was also given my change $15 short and had to argue to get it back. The price changed from $30 on the phone to $35 in the store. To top it off my nail snapped off the same day as I got them done. Would NOT recommend this salon. It used to be good but something happened. read more

This salon doesn't even deserve a one star if we're being honest. After an extensive amount of time she not one tore up my skin but over filed my natural nail to the point of bleeding. I asked her to fix a few nails and she was rude about it. She didn't seem like she knew what she was doing. Nails in Leeds when asked repeatedly for an ombré Finish. Even managed to mess up the clear top coat for gel. Used a dirty wash cloth and after a complaint about the final product still made me pay full price. The other lady said I could come in the next day and she would fix them for free but my nails are bleeding and I'm in so much pain I don't want them to touch my figures. Really disappointed with today's visit. A friend and I came in around 1 for a dip manicure and the place was completely dead. The first disappointment was when we were told to sit total opposite ends of the salon. When I asked why we had to sit apart they just said sorry, she needs to sit down here. We both took off work to see each other and couldn't even talk the hour we were there because we weren't sitting next to each other. There was absolutely no reason we couldn't have been seated together, the place was DEAD. If I come with a friend to get my nails done, I want to be seated with them and be able to talk to them. I would have just came alone if I would have known they were going to do that. Second disappointment was how my friend was treated. My friends' nail tech was very rude. My friend asked to see the gel polish swatches (because they barely had any gel dip colors) once we were seated and the lady acted like it was such a bother. She then burned her hands in hot acetone, a chemical that isn't even supposed to be warmed up. My friend said she felt very rushed and wasn't even able to look through the colors because the tech had her soaking her hands in the acetone. Not even a minute after she laid the swatches down she asked if my friend had picked out a color yet and she said that she hadn't even gotten a chance to look. A few minutes later she literally picked her color for her. Probably one of the most unprofessional visits I've had at any nail salon. This is a good place for a no wait pedicure. However I do not recommend it for acrylic. They over drill into nail beds and do not get the acrylic adhered to your nails well enough to keep them from getting debris under them. They also fall off within 5 days. I went to another nail salon and the acrylic lasted 3 weeks without getting moisture beneath. The quality difference was very noticeable. read more

I just moved to Lee's Summit and was looking for a nail place that close to my house. I went for nexgen, or dipped, nails. I have done this for a couple of years and a typical set lasts me three weeks. The girl who did my manicure would only dip my nails once and on day 4, my nails have chipped, cracked and peeled off. She cut all my cuticles to the quick and made them bleed. So disappointed that I paid $40 just to have them redone somewhere else. read more

I just left this salon. Probably one of the worst pedicures I've ever received. The leg massage was the best part. The paint job is terrible. At least three of my toe mails aren't completely painted. Wouldn't recommend this salon to anyone. So disappointing. read more
