She is extremely talented, always expanding her skill set as an esthetician, and totally "gets it" when it comes to brows and skin. I wish I had been going to Maria since my first brow wax as a teen 100 years ago. Pro tip: if your teenager wants a brow wax for the first time, DO NOT take them to just anyone. I have sensitive skin and (even with threading) will break out and then stay red for hours like I have been attacked with a red sharpie by IT (the clown). Rachel has cured 2.5 of the 3 issues that keeps me from containing the brows as they should be. I no longer break out in those little whiteheads the next day, and it is relatively painless to the point where I don't dread going. Even her online scheduling has kept me in line to where I want to frequent her every 4-5 weeks. As for the redness, there may not be a cure-all, but I no longer have to hide from the general public 6 hours later. The post-waxing clownesque redness that my German heritage has provided me is subdued within 2 hours, allowing me to walk my dog in all weather conditions, not just those where a ski mask is acceptable. I walked in and was greeted by a really friendly staff member (she was really trying to give the multiple people I saw the same pleasant experience!). Kyra did my brow service. She was freaking amazing! Very relatable and easy to talk to. She was also good at her job and I appreciate she took her time to do a detail oriented job. I can't tell you how many times I feel like my eyebrow tech has been quick but then I go home and find random strays or areas I feel could have used a little more attention. The quality of her work and service is why I will certainly be a repeat customer. What's even more amazing? Right now they're advertising your first eyebrow wax free! I'm not going to mention their name because I don't want them to get so busy that I can't get in. They have male and female therapist here in case you have a preference. There are no memberships or pressure tactics like that other chain massage place. And they have good availability in multiple therapists, unlike a one person shop. They're in a nice shopping plaza with several restaurants and other businesses in case you need stuff after your massage. They are very good at communication via email and text and phone. I think the worst thing was that I wore my hair up in a bun, and MT asked if I wanted to wear it down. I specifically said no and made it clear that I didn't want oil in my hair. Later on she literally rubbed oil (which smelled terrible) completely through my hair and then lathered it onto my face. At the end, without any warning, threw a very hot towel on my back. Had she told me it would not have been so shocking. With all the good ratings I was disappointed in the quality of massage and then walking away like a grease pit. I only give it a maybe because maybe there is someone better.
