Saw Dr Sarah Bechay yesterday and had a really experience. It was our first meeting and she didn't care to know anything about me. All she was looking to do is a pap smear and get out. She was rude with no bedside manners. Din't try to check on my IUD. Any questions I asked about Peri Meno felt like I was being dismissed. She also said there is nothing called Peri Menopause, it's called transition. However that is incorrect. It is a medically recognized term. At one point I asked her I guess I cannot ask you anything cause it should all be directed to a menopause specialist. She then proceeded to say you can ask then tells me those are unrelated to her. Then she proceeded to lecture me with a long winded response of few things I asked about weight gain and hormonal fluctuations almost in a condescending manner. I personally felt very embarrassed being there in that room with her. It was a bad experience. She totally lacked any form of empathy. read more

I arrived for the appointment and the doctor wasn't even in the office. This was an appointment that was in my portal and that I confirmed with the answering service over the weekend. Had a traumatic experience with my primary physician who was dismissive of my reporting domestic abuse and concurrent stress symptoms. When trying to resolve the situation with patient relations, four phone calls resulted in zero response. I also experienced a lack of empathy when visiting urgent care. I had Dr. Boretz for my rotator cuff surgery. He is a pleasant and knowledgeable surgeon. I also had my bicep reattached and it was all done through orthoscopic surgery. The incisions are hardly noticeable. I had the surgery done the end of March and its the end of June and my physical therapy is now over. I'm so glad I had it done and its behind me! I highly recommend Dr. Abrutyn for any knee issues you may have. I was 39 when I needed a total knee replacement. Because of my age and past knee surgeries Dr. Abrutyn explained all of my pros and cons before surgery. Just 3 months after surgery, I'm back to doing physical activities with Zero pain and all of my range and motion due to Dr. Abrutyn. Dr. Abrutyn gave me a new outlook on life. Dr. Abrutyn was my primary orthopedic surgeon. I came to him on a second opinion due to no physical improvement from the first Ortho I went to. He was straight forward with what needed to be done to get rid of my pain and repair my shoulder. No waisted back and forth to the office for months. I saw Dr. Rao for back and neck pain. It was an excellent experience with the Summit Medical Group staff at all levels. Dr. Rao was easy to converse with and was always encouraging and cheerful but realistic and factual with prognosis. I can't speak for other people's reviews and quiet frankly I think they are unfair. People need to educate themselves about their insurance plans. I can't say enough wonderful things about Dr. David Abrutyn. I was an anxious and horrified mess when an accident left me with a shattered kneecap. Dr. Abrutyn answered all of my questions, eased my fears and insecurities, immediately got me into surgery, and put my kneecap back together. He was always wonderful about following up, listening to me, paying close attention to my case, getting me a brace that I was comfortable in, making sure I had the right resources and PT, and getting me back on my feet. I will forever appreciate his skill, attention to detail, and kindness. As a bonus, his staff are the most wonderful and friendly people as well! read more

Dr. James Levy poor bedside manner, strange staff. Phlebotomist gave me a big bruise. Nobody cared to wash their hands, no one introduced themselves, no one seemed to really care. Building itself was also very strange offices tangled up in a maze with musty smell. read more

I give the doctors and nurses at the Warren pediatrics location 5 Starts! HOWEVER, I give the scheduling process 0 stars!! Why should it take me 9 minutes and 43 seconds to schedule a school physical for my son? They ask the birthdate, confirm the address and phone number and then I'm on hold for nearly 8 minutes! Then someone new picks up the call and takes another 1 minute and 43 seconds to schedule the appointment. I find this a total waste of my time! This is not the only time this has been my complaint. This happens each and every time I make an appointment. This process needs to change! read more

I have a long time customer since it was Paramount Medical group. I liked my doctor and my family goes to Summit Medical as well. However, since they joined Summit Medical group, I am very unhappy with this medical group. It's not only Warren office's fault, but whole Summit Medical group. It is so big that each group doesn't communicate well. I simply made an appointment for annual check up. I did blood draw and saw the doctor. By my surprise, my insurance charged me more than $100 for blood test that was unfamiliar to me. The annual check up is covered under my insurance and it had been. I investigated and found there was an extra blood test which wasn't standard check up test. I found out Summit Medical included non-standard blood test without my consent. I asked Doctor why it was included. Although she admitted it wasn't necessary, she didn't care much. Therefore I realized it will happen again next time if I continue this medical group. I don't want anybody take my blood and test without my will. Also I have to pay for it. It doesn't make sense. Therefore I decided to change a doctor who belongs to a smaller organization. read more

I went to see doctor Abrutyn as a second opinion. I had read many reviews about him before I went because I didn't want to wastw my time with someone who was in it for a paycheck. My first doctor immediately spoke of a shoulder replacement by my third visit but still couldn't specify what the issue was with my shoulder. Dr Abrutyn was very patient, honest, and listened to all of my concerns. He took x-rays, requested any past tests that I had, he'd done in person ROM tests, and then gave me his opinion on what he thought was wrong with my shoulder. I say opinion because without looking into my shoulder through the scope, he couldn't give me a sure prognosis, which it for me is fine because I appreciate the honesty. I know what to look forward to. His bed side manner and confidence in his craft is remarkable. If I had any other issues in the future, I would definitely go back to him! I love SMG and have been going for years! My entire family goes for their medical needs. Out of all my experiences there, I was only displeased with one physician at the Urgent Care. Other than that, all of the medical staff have been friendly, patient, and demonstrated great customer service skills. A copy i sent to Summit Medical Group Just thought someone should really know how the Warren, N. J. office is run and what I experienced on the afternoon of Thursday April 19. Before I explain the brief details I would like to inform you my family including both mother and father, aunt and uncles, cousins and my god mother all local Warren residents have been using Paramount Medical Group now Summit Medical for as long as I can remember. On Thursday afternoon after not feeling well for a few days I decided to call to make an appointment to see Dr. Kahn. The friendly phone attended kindly told me Dr Kahn had moved out of state and was asking me the right kind of questions in order to finish booking appointment... what is going on...... concerned , helpful and caring. I complained of a bad cold for two weeks, major back pains, and more important been having chest pains now. I joked with her and told her Tylenol was not going to cut it anymore and thought maybe it was time to come in and see a doctor..... I went on hold for several minutes back and forth several times only to find out that I was not welcomed to Summit Medical speaking now a office manager. I got a definitive tone that I received a certified letter in 2010 stating I was "notified" and start rambling off everything I didn't need to hear at the time and she has a copy of proof and in which claims I signed for etc. Making matter worse, I was so insulted at her tone and disrespect I told her I would be more then happy to come to office and view the so called copy that I signed for clearly knowing this is all a misunderstanding. Upon going to the office I was told by the office manager I've been removed as a patient from the office for non payment and the same tone and treatment continue. I kindly ask her to look into what are the issues and payment problems and all of sudden things get ugly quickly. I was informed a $25 co pay was not collected in 2010 and thus the drop from Summit Medical Group. I am not a lawyer or a bum on street but I kindly told her that 1. I did think it was your responsibility to collect Co pays at the window ? 2. If I did not pay my co pay send me to collections dept.? 3. if I knew I was not welcomed to medical offices do you really think I would try to make an appointment ? 4. if I am not a patient any longer, why do I get newsletters etc in the mail and web updates?? how was I supposed to know I was not a patient any longer?? its obvious a major breakdown of communication has occurred back in 2010 do you think a phone call might of worked??? and for the Record I am still waiting for the "SIGNED" copy informing me (not a copy of letter)......... Where is the common sense in all this??? I totally get it as I understand the business aspect of operations. I own and operate several restaurants and appreciate the financial burdens and responsibility your company caries. What I cannot accept is how a profession in which prides themselves providing people with care, comfort and in need and a person with authority makes decisions with absolutely no regrets. Is this the way you treat humans??? just a complete inexcusable, unethical, classless operation!!!! In closing I tried to pay the outstanding $25 for the record but was informed office cannot collect money due to transfer from Paramount Medical. I could not even get my medical records but was offered assistance to sign forms and call for forms @ H.I.M.S I still have to wait to find new primary doctor and get medical records something that I guess is to difficult to understand in the Warren Summit Medical office. Rest assured I will go out of my way to explain in details to everyone in my family and anyone willing to listen my experience with your organization. read more
