My son has been going to prestige since he was 4 years old. He just turned 7. There are plenty of Tae Kwon Do schools in my area but I do make a little drive for Master Nam and his team. I've seen my son grow from a shy timid child into a more self confident, disciplined kid. Master Nam teaches but always makes time for some fun for the kids . You can tell he really enjoys what he does and he goes above and beyond for these kids. He throws movie nights, nerf parties bouncy houses and so much more. This dojo truly helped my 6-year old daughter with discipline, stamina, endurance, social skills, respect, etc. Master Nam truly care about the students and it clearly shows. He holds the students accountable for their actions at home, school, and at the dojo. He request report card, parent's & teacher's input on student behavior as part of a comprehensive lesson to move on to the next belt, which is something I don't see in many places. Two years in and still going strong! Our twin boys have been with Prestige for over 2 years and are now Red Belts. They are respectful, disciplined and great kids. And when they step out of line, (as most 7 year olds will), we simply bring up Master Nam's name and they quickly remember what they have been taught here in the studio. It doesn't always work, but for the most part, it has been invaluable. I just wanted to mention that the mentorship part of Prestige is vastly underrated. I freaking love it here! I've been curious about these types of groups popping up all over, the boot camp groups. I used to be a gym rat and well, fell in love and gained a lot of fa-----love. I tried going back to the gym multiple times but with a family at home, I no longer have the luxury of spending the time at the gym I used to spend to get the results I am used to. I also lacked the motivation so that made things worse for me. But I was running out of clothes and this quarantine body had reached a point I've never been to before. I needed to do something ASAP. My sister stumbled upon this place via an advertisement at some 3rd party app and immediately thought of me. Been coming here for 3 weeks now. Kickboxing Boot camp, not a fan of the boot camp (loathe burpees) part but you have the option of sticking to just Kickboxing! I LOVE IT!! I get my aggression out, start the fat losing part, and get that workout in! Natural endorphins at last! The instructors are al super cool and down to earth. They're not mean/rude/pushy like some places tend to be, making them very intimidating. These guys know how to motivate properly. Love that with every routine/session they provide alternatives incase you're not able to do the round normal. I'm definitely considering expanding my 6-week course here maybe another couple months to really get the jumpstart I need. The price is reasonable, the staff is great, and the environment is super welcoming. Can't beat that. read more

I had been searching for the ideal extra curricular activity for my 10 year old son for months. He has expressed some interest in martial arts. After visiting a few martial arts studios in the La Habra area, we ended up signing up for a trial class at Prestige Martial Arts. By the end of the trial, my parental mind was sold without even inquiring about the fees. In less than a month, my son showed so much improvement with his confidence, discipline and maturity. My son never complains about going to class. With the monthly membership, you have access to daily classes depending on the skill level of your child. Master Nam (and his staff) is incredible with the amount of patience, care and motivation that he displays to every single child in the class. He explains the importance of every skills and the benefits of each one (protection, strength building, endurance, cardio). He keeps the class active and entertaining for the entire 50 minutes. And not only is he truly a master in martial arts, but in his mentorship. I appreciate the advice that gives my son and even to me. When I express concerns about my son (such as grade transition or even bullying), Master Nam has a physical and mental action plan ready to go. It's worth every penny! read more

My son just started going here and he comes out of class so happy! I think that it's structured but they also play fun music to warm up. It's very positive of an environment and I think the flexibility in having 4-5 class time options we can pick from each week (we can go 3x a week with our membership). I dropped into Prestige's boot camp class this morning and got WORKED. We started off with a warmup run and then did three rounds of the circuit which had a solid mix of cardio, bodyweight, and weighted exercises. All of it was beginner-friendly but still challenging. So I seen an add for Cardio kickboxing and I wanted to try something new... I didnt expect to fall In love with the vibe of this facility. First off , being a plus sized women , it is very easy to feel discouraged walking into any fitness center. At my surprise everyone was so friendly and supportive. Myself and other beginners are able to go at our pace but still be challenged all under positive supervision. Nam is an amazing instructor! I also signed my 2 children (6 and 8) in his tae kwon do classes. I didn't think they would love it so much we had to commit to a longer term. Just In The first week I noticed a HUGE change in their confidence boost and discipline! I have to bribe them to finish their homework if they want to go to their class. Definitely working out for me. Also , there is a bootcamp class everyday and I've got to experience that with Instructor Nick. Great job Nick . As I mentioned I feel so comfortable and motivated to keep pushing and challenging myself. It is seriously a life change for me and I really hope that I can continue to grow a relationship and family at Prestige in La habra.
