Luckily, there was an off-leash gated dog park at Morrill Meadows Park. We accidently parked at the regular park location but once we walked up to the dog park, my boyfriend went to go get the car and park closer to the dog park. The dog park is really nice as they have two separate areas for shy and small dogs and for all dogs. They had poop bags and water readily available. The dog park is huge and areas lots of shade which was perfect. There is lots of sand in the area with bits of grass here and there. It seemed well-maintained which I appreciate, as one of my dog likes to eat grass. There was a little hole that my other dog enjoyed digging in. I wish there were obstacles or benches. They had three lawn chairs which is nice but I think a bench or picnic table would be better, especially since the small and shy dog park area had better seating. Other than that, a solid dog park that we will definitely be stopping by on hot summer days!

It makes good use of the open spaces, with the trees and fresh air making it a very different experience than other parts of the country (especially SoCal from where I'm from). My daughter and son-in-law got a new dog recently and have been trying to get her to acclimate to other people and other dogs. They haven't been to this city park, so we all decided to take a walk. While walking, it was clear that 'Patsy' wasn't yet ready to socialize with other dogs, so once we noticed there were dogs and owners inside the enclosure, they decided to abort the plan and instead keep exploring the park. I was able to take pictures, and noted that the break in the fence line caused by a downed tree from last month's big storm, was fixed. My biggest observation is how big the enclosed area is. It would be great for big dogs that require a lot of exercise, a large enough space to play frisbee catch off-leash and still be in compliance.

And at Crossroads Pop Up Dog Park, it's fantastic, with ample space in an area that's accessible. I've taken my fur baby to the Crossroads Pop Up Dog Park a few times, and she always has a fun time here. This pop-up dog park is located at the Crossroads Park, right by the community center and golf course. The fenced dog park is huge, with a lot of space for the dogs to run around, especially compared to the other pop-up dog parks. Plus, it's wooded, with tons of tree canopy, so provides shade for those hot summer days when the dogs need to cool down. There were also a few benches inside the fenced area and poop bags are provided right by the two entrances. If you're looking for a place to take your dog where they can be off-leash, Crossroads Pop Up Dog Park is a good option. The location cannot be beat, with it being walking distance to the Crossroads Mall and other amenities, with parking nearby. Anytime I'm in the Crossroads neighborhood with my dog, I'll plan to take her here.

However, it seems to serve the neighborhood of Newport Hills. We visited Newport Hills Woodlawn Park as we wanted to take a dog we're fostering to a park where she could freely run around that's fenced in. Thus, I had heard that this park has a new off-leash dog park that's fenced, so we decided to check it out. It was only upon arrival that we saw that the dog area is currently closed as they're waiting for the grass to be fully grown there. No time estimate. But from what we could see, the dog area seemed nice enough and was fenced. In addition to a dog area, there's a small playground, fields and many open grass areas. It's also near a middle school, which actually turned out to be nice because we saw that there were many dogs running around the school's fields and it was fenced in. So I guess you could say this is the unofficial off-leash area of Newport Hills until the actual one opens. All in all, this city park is good for families and is convenient for Newport Hills residents. However, as someone who doesn't live in this area, I wouldn't go out of my way to check out this park again, given the amount of other parks area in the city of Bellevue.

There are 2 sections and both are huge. The small dog side has a nice big metal bench, a poop bag station with a trash receptacle and a couple fire hydrants which my little loved. There's 3 obstacles in a small agility area. No one was there so we went on the other side, the big dog area. This one is much larger. It was a sunny day but I can see if it's pouring rain that it would get a little muddy, but really not so bad. The park was clean and in a nice area not far from 410. No dog poop on the ground. On the outside of the fence there's a playground and 2 picnic benches. Also a port a potty. I can't wait to bring them back & so glad I found this gem here on Yelp!!

When it is sunny, I take advantage of the weather and head here and it seems like a lot of people do the same. I appreciate everyone here being so nice and welcoming, offering to let me the ins-and-outs of the place, showing me the main area as well as the small dog area, and the amount of fixtures the dogs can play on at this park. Only downside is that the parking lot for the big dog area is a little small but seems like most people park on the street or in the small-dog lot of need be. Can't wait to come here during the summer and meet more furry friends!

There are many entrances along the perimeter from the park or the Greenbelt Trails. I recommend using the entrance from the parking lot on SW Cloverdale & 5th Ave Sw. The Off-Leash area was closed for half a year to improve irrigation. The outcome created the gravel layer, updated the fencing area the play areas but it also limited trash access, sometimes leaving piles of dog bagged waste. Disappointed with the lack of dog-park-related improvements (water stations, benches, dog bags, etc.).

The second time my kid wanted to come so we purposely drove out to it. This time we left early because it didn't feel safe. We went to the bathroom and there was a homeless person in there occupying the handicap restroom, most likely doing something illegal. Her arm was sticking out under the stall and it felt kind of scary. I had to usher my kids out as quickly as possible. When we got back to the playground, tons of trash. A toddler pulled down her pants to pee on the ground. A bunch of teenagers were at the toddler playground without shoes on, occupying the "inside" of the playground. Worried my kids had to go to the bathroom again, we left early. It didn't seem sanitary nor safe anymore. We will not be back.

Lots of parking, walking trails and wide paths perfect for biking, jogging and strolling. Always be mindful of what you leave in your car as it can be hard to see the cars from the beach.
