Have used this cleaner for 20 years, BUT NO MORE!!!! It was great when Won owned the place (As Summit Cleaners). BUT when he sold the store & it relocated to a small drop-off storefront on the street behind his original location, things changed. Even taking into account the rising cost of things, I checked with a few other places today and was quoted $40-$45 for the $65 that Hangers charged me! And my bedding now has an odor and a "tacky" feel to it, like the laundry detergent wasn't completely rinsed out! Don't appreciate the price, gouging and subpar results. read more

Increased prices since they sold . Also, my husband likes his jeans starched. They do starch or no starch only. He asked for starch, and he could not even pull them apart. They were so stiff and hard, that they were like a piece of board. Never heard of such a thing. We will be going to a different dry cleaners from now on. It's a shame, because when it was the previous owner, everything went well, including the starch process and the pricing. read more

Kind of sticker shocked with the pricing for dry cleaning at this location - sort of misleading when it says "50% off dry cleaning", when the "real" price is $20 to get a shirt dry cleaned!! $9.00 for a golf shirt to be cleaned?? I went to this place because it is conveniently located near my new home but am now willing to drive the 10 miles to visit my other dry cleaner who does a good job and who is much more reasonable. read more

Worst customer service ever! They destroyed a $700 dress worn only once. Didn't even inform me he had wrecked it...got it home to find out, then drove right back up. He argued with me for a while in front of other customers, then offered to refund my cleaning cost...really?? Like I'd ever take anything there again. Please think twice about going here if you have a nice piece of clothing you don't want destroyed. It might be cheaper than other cleaners, but the cost to fix or replace what they destroy isn't worth it. read more

I'm a big fan of Summit Cleaners. They're not perfect, but they are by far much less expensive than any traditional cleaner I've found in the Phoenix area. It's more like the cleaners I'm accustomed to from the Midwest. Run by Asians and moderately priced. My dress shirts come out very good and they only cost $1.35 each. Dry Cleaning has various pricing, but it's far less than Prestige, Delia's or any of the other big names. The clothes are typically done in two days and the place could use some organization, but I'll put up with both for the prices they charge. read more

Decided to come here because of the decent reviews on Yelp, I recently moved to the Scottsdale and 101 area and needed to find a decent place. I have a few shirts that have metal snap buttons on them and most dry cleaners will tell me I have to pay more for hand press instead of using the machine because the machine presses so hard the buttons might be destroyed. I understand this and question why some of my shirts were charged at $4.50 instead of the regular $1.50 or so. The owner started to give me attitude and told me "If you don't want to pay that much then don't bring those kind of shirts in!!" Well you know what sir, there are plenty of other Dry Cleaners in this area so guess what... I will no longer be bringing ANY laundry to your store, I vote with my wallet and you have just lost one more customer.... read more

The worst dry cleaner's. They treat customers so badly. They never take any claims politely. They always fight with the customer and never apologizes. Please change your dry cleaner's. We changed it the one next to the Sprouts on Scottsdale Rd & Peanucle Peak. We have been happy with their quality service. Why would you go when this one treats you so badly. The husband and wife are the worst business people. They don't deserve to make any profit with that attitude towards the customers. I can't be sure but I have reason to believe my suits were eaten by moths (or some other insect) while at this establishment. I may be totally wrong and I was nervous about suggesting this without being sure but I do know a few of my suits and pants were ruined by some insect and, in more than a few instances, they still had the plastic on it from the cleaners. Yes, it could have happened in my closet but I have never seen ANY evidence of insects in my closet - not bug parts, not excrement, nothing. Has anyone else ever had a problem with their clothes after using this cleaner? Of course, when I confronted management, they said it definitely happened at my house. They may be right but I would be curious if others had a problem. I lost several thousand dollars in suits. read more

I've been using this cleaners for several years and spent quite a lot of money here. Recently I noticed that all my shirts have staple like pin holes in the bottom of the back of the shirts. First I called the owner to tell him and he yelled at me then hung up on me. I then brought 12 shirts back to show him the holes. He claims that's the way they tag the shirts and no one has complained in 20 years of him being in business. I said that I understand that's his process but I still have holes in all of my shirts that his cleaners created. He would not compensate me in any way and didn't care that he would lose my business. read more

I sure wish I had checked these reviews before Summit Cleaners ruined my clothes as well. Like the other reviewers, management denied any responsibility and advised me that the holes in my clothes were there prior to cleaning! Can you imagine me presenting myself to customers with holes in my clothes? Management was unresponsive to attempts to reconcile by me and by the Better Business Bureau. Decent work but rude and completely indifferent customer service. The last time I was in (the LAST time) the owner wouldn't even get off her cell phone to take my shirts. She gabbed endlessly, accidentally knocked my shirts off the counter to the floor (which I picked up). She spoke not one word to me the entire time. I have never written a review - never. However, the CONSISTENTLY bad and DISRESPECTFUL experience I received at this establishment (Summit Cleaners on North Miller and Pinnacle Peak Rds) compels me to tell others about it. It's fair to say that I have been coming here for YEARS. It's convenient, close to my home and inexpensive. Time after time, I would come home and say, "I am never going there again". But time after time, I told myself, he (the owner) must be having a bad day, or I'll give them another chance, or, or, or.....and I kept going back - leaving my money there. I honestly thought that eventually he would not be as bad as in the past or he would recognize me as a returning customer. I do know that he recognizes me every time because he brings up my account without exchanging a glance or greeting. I think it's safe to say that I have never come across a business owner who is as terse, rude, disrespectful as the Asian gentlemen who owns this establishment. He NEVER acknowledges me when I walk in, NEVER says hello, including when I do first. Transactions are completed in awkward silence except for the occasional gruff, "Do you want a copy of your receipt?". I have had both my receipt and credit card THROWN across the counter at me. I completely understand and respect cultural nuances and differences, or hesitation when language is a barrier, but this man's English is perfect so that definitely is not the issue. My last time there (and I mean it this time), last week - I went to pick up my husband's shirts and the rest of our dry cleaning. We both work in corporate jobs so we have a lot of laundry and dry cleaning. There was a customer already at the counter; I stood off to the side to wait. Another customer with shirts in his arms walked in behind me. The owner motioned to the man to set down his shirts on the counter. Meanwhile, customer #1 left. The owner completely skipped me,. walked over to the second man and processed his shirts and gave him his claim check. This second customer looked over at me obviously very uncomfortable and awkward, realizing what was happening. Then the owner looked me up in his computer without a word. If I was dropping off, I would have turned around and never looked back, but my clothes were there. I will NEVER go here again. I have noticed that he will exchange sports trivia with men in line, so maybe it's his way of treating his female customers, I don't know. I can't say for sure. His arrogance and lack of respect for the paying customers entering his establishment is stunning. Disrespect me once, shame on you, disrespect me many, many times, just because....shame on me.
