Plenty of cabinet space and drawers. The kitchen also has a large double stainless steel sink and faucet. The wall across from the kitchen has a large closet for storage and also a full size GE washing machine and dryer. The living room has plenty of room for a large recliner, a grandfather clock, a 65 inch Samsung TV and a large double door cabinet where I have my 27 inch iMac computer. Between the recliner and outside wall I also have a 36"x36" pedestal table, where I have a large hammered copper lamp with shade. The two walls forming the corner behind the recliner and grandfather clock, have two large glass windows covered by Venetian blinds. Moving through the lockable door into the bedroom there is room enough for a queen sized bed, and a three drawer cabinet with lamp. The outside wall has a large window covered with Venetian blinds. Sliding double doors lead into a closet with plenty of room for hanging shirts, and with shelves that hold baskets for socks, and underwear. Under the shelf on the right there is room for a large four drawer cabinet where I can store pajamas and a large collection of various shoes. A single sliding door leads into a spacious bathroom, complete with a shower, toilet, and lavatory. There are two spacious cabinets and drawers next to the shower. Another reason I picked this third floor apartment is that it is located next to the fire escape stairs. I never use the elevators because I like the exercise I get walking up and down the stairs. My apartment is also located at the very end of this wing of The Reserve apartment complex. Consequently I don't hear or see any of my neighbors. Thanks for your time and attention. They have a load of activities that she goes to and I think that's going to keep her mind sharper much longer than if she was still living alone. They also have "armchair astronomy" classes and various lectures. The staff are caring, pleasant, and helpful. Dawn and Ralph, the managers, do a great job. I'm so glad we found this place. My family did an extensive search in Central Austin, and even tried out the very large competitor that is in close vicinity for a few months - we are so glad we made the switch. Here are some of the reasons. -The staff is very friendly and quickly knew us all by name. They all care about the residents and family. -The executive director is very personable and approachable. -The facility is very nice and easy to get around, with a park near by and the shops at the Triangle. There are no "bad apartments" that I can see. -Contracts and policies are reasonable and senior friendly. Believe me, you should check this all carefully to avoid any nasty surprises. From past experience, what they tell you in sales is not necessarily to be believed. I am very glad we made the choice to move to these guys.

I find it to be a "Great Grand Place!!" The apartments and overall feeling of beautiful and well-designed buildings (and decor) are exceptionally well-done. It is very airy with a big open feeling. The food and service goes beyond what I expected. All staff are so kind and knowledgeable at Grand Living, and that could not be better for a new place now less than six-months being open. It's good to be here! And, I wish to live at GL for many more good months and years to come. From: Maggie "Bird" at Grand Living

I visited Grand Living at the Grove in early February to schedule a tour for a potential new…read moreresident. The Sales staff and Executive Director were very helpful. The Grove is different than other luxury communities in that if a person moves into Independent Living and experiences a decline in health necessitating increased care (Assisted Living or Memory Care) the additional services come to the resident, and the resident does not have to relocate to a new apartment in Assisted Living or Memory Care. This is a very nice accommodation! Also, the Grove employs their own "Nursing Staff" who can attend to residents when there is a fall, skin tear, etc. The resident does not have to go to the doctor or an ER to get checked out. The nursing staff comes to see the resident in their apartment. The Grove is centrally located in Austin and has several restaurants within walking distance of the community. The streets are well-lit, and the sidewalks are new and wide enough to accommodate individuals who use walkers or wheelchairs and there seems to be plenty of parking. Many more pluses in the services offered in this community. Well worth stopping by to see if this community is fit for your family member or loved one.

Watermark's management since 2019 has brought consistent, high quality leadership and practices to…read morethe facility. And that has been true during 14 months of COVID19 restrictions and a once-in a lifetime winter storm that robbed most of the city of water and power for days. It is remarkable that the Watermark team was able to continue with so little disruption to residents. The current staff earn really high marks for both caring and skill at what they do - even in challenging circumstances. Crises notwithstanding, the Watermark seems to work hard to be a real home for residents on both the Assisted Living and Memory Care sides of the facility. The two program directors are tireless in thinking up an endless array of outings, celebrations, games, lectures and demonstrations for all interests and abilities (e.g. pub night, mystery dinner theater, Jamaican Independence Day with a steel band, Dancing with the Stars, fishing excursion, Lake Austin boat trip to see the eagles and Senior Games athletic competition at UT). There is a lot available every day, but no one is obliged to participate. Shopping and dining outings were scheduled weekly before COVID and there are frequent special events where family and friends are welcome, including live music Happy Hour every Friday. Our loved one was in Memory Care and we have been thrilled to find that it is also about active living and learning and fun! No one is pushed, simply invited to join in at whatever level they can. Our sister was up, dressed and busy every day with games, exercises, and creating things. Moving into Elan/Watermark, after living alone, turned out to be a wonderful life changer. It gave her an instant set of friends, things to do and a reason to get up and stay awake every day. This was much more than we hoped for and it made the last four years of her life very positive, happy ones. Linda B.
