Everyone's friendly and great, my only qualm is it took longer than I anticipated, but the cut and color look great

What can I say besides "The Best Massage I have EVER had!" I was bought a gift card for a massage and pedicure for my birthday, but I already got my feet done. So Hot stone massage it was. I was taken back to my room by my masseuse and was told how the massage was going to go. I got undressed and the massage began! When I tell you, this was the best thing next to a steak sandwich....I know it's not a saying, but it's a thing, trust me, lol! The hot rocks, the hot oil, just the ambiance, it was all amazing! Booked for a wedding party and was not familiar with the area. we told them it was a wedding party and they put some of us with a stylist with very little experience. Beyoncé did my hair. I did tell them I was very unhappy. My Mom's hair was done by a gentleman. Hers looked even worse. We tried to go home and fix it. Our hair looks awful in pictures. please don't let them ruin pictures that are a once in a lifetime experience. Also, they charged me as if Beyoncé was an experienced stylist. 2 people were charge $210 for two updos and make up. I was charged $75 just for my hair that fell within 30 minutes. I made an appointment for a spa pedicure. It took over an hour for her to simply put nail polish on my feet and sand them. I asked for gel/shellac, but she told me that I need to schedule an hour and a half appointment for that! My large toe nail has waves, The nail polish is messed up. Bubbles are all over. I waited 30 minutes to put on my shoes I don't know why it's messed up. It cost me $50 for the service with regular nail polish and I don't even like my toes. My advice it go to one of those Chinese salons! The girl takes 30 minutes to do my nails and it lasts for over a month. The Chinese salon also put some warm rocks on me and it's so relaxing. I will never be back to this salon. read more

Typically busy salon. I switched to this salon only because my stylist did . In the waiting area , the furniture is kind of outdated . Reminds me of the Golden Girls for some reason. There are tons of stylists and the phone is constantly ringing. Very loud and the music I have heard has been from 80s music to trap music . Not overly friendly or warm environment . I would give this place a better rating if the inside was more contemporary and it felt more inviting . There is a cafe located inside, but I have not tried it yet. It looks cute though. They do offer multiple beauty services, but they seem a little pricey to me. Nail walks ins seem to be a no go. The prices for nails seem to be pretty good though and I would like to try that service in the future . read more

I just came from a Brazilian wax that was less than stellar, to say the least. Although the technician was nice enough, her bedside manner was mediocre, the service was sloppy and the wax was too hot (which I voiced), leaving some skin peeled off. I went home to inspect and after confirming the worst, gave the salon a call. That said, the customer service by Mary was off the charts. Not that she could fix my inner, um, skin ;) but she did set things more than right. She also offered the names of two of her best technicians for next time, and some advice on healing. Customer service goes a long way with me, and this phone call ensured my return to this spa. Thank you! read more

Please know the services I received were 5 star. I love my hair stylist. However, there is no heat. I had a wet head was shivering then my nose running. It is just ludicrous to have no heat in December In a hair salon. Not so bad when it was out in October but someone needs to find a way to get this issue resolved. Little electric heaters plugged in at every station is going to add up quickly. Thank goodness the stylists had these little heaters though. Seriously I can not believe how cold it was. I could not wear my new coat while I was having my color touched up. I know a professional heating and cooling company if yours can not get this job done. read more

I get my hair trimmed & highlighted by Steve, who is the best! He's been doing my hair here for two years and his work is always top notch and he's super friendly and professional. He's a perfectionist and takes the time to cut my hair with my precision. As for prices, they are pretty much in line with other salons. I don't pay any more or less at Summerset than I have at most other salons in the area. He usually charges me about $100 for most hair appointments. He worked wonders on my hair after he re-colored it and added highlights following a disaster at another salon, which is when I first started going to him, upon a recommendation from an acquaintance. I'm glad I took that advice! My husband gets his hair cut by him now as well. read more

I don't usually leave reviews, but I'm a massage therapist and I have a difficult time finding a good therapist! After an appointment with Jeremy Manning, It allowed me to relax but he did the deep work that I needed to elongate my muscles and relieve the pain. I highly recommend him. read more

I get my hair cut here monthly and it's great. Clean, well lit, very polite staff. I won't go anywhere else.

Let me just start out by saying this is not based on just one experience! You would think that because of the prices that the customer service would match but No very impolite abrupt and non caring; I had a gift certificate that was for $200 and i tried to use it but it had an expiration date that I was totally unaware of i dont even understand why that is even possible but anyway the clerk didn't care and only seemed to just want me to hurry and leave he just seemed really bothered by me even asking any questions so I asked if the manager could give me a call and she never did. I however followed up and she behaved the same way the man did at the counter! As far as the people that performed the service they were great unfortunately their products weren't ! i received a mani and pedi and my gel polish peeled the next day! I thought it was something I did so i just brushed it off but no it happened again the next time I went. Yes I did have the same tech(s) each time, it was my mother and I and her polish did the same thing each time as well. So Unfortunately we won't be returning and I definitely would NOT recommend them to anyone sorry read more

Just had my Lash Perm and Dermaplaning done with Heather. I've been looking for someone to do Lash Lift for a while and a friend recommended I see her. It honestly worked amazingly well and I love them . The dermaplaning was way beyond my expectations. My skin had a beautiful glow for over a week. I was getting complimented left and right. If I could leave zero I would. Just left here with over-waxed, uneven eyebrows thanks to Viva. I have naturally thick eyebrows that haven't been touched in three months. Pretty much a blank canvas for any good esthetician. Unfortunately, this particular artist wasn't up to the job. I instantly felt uncomfortable when she put wax on my upper brow. No one ever waxes the top of my brows because I have dark facial hair and it would make my face look silly if a strip of my face is waxed. The face that she didn't know this or bother to ask about my preference worries me about her professional level. I told her I only wanted them shaped up, and when she put the mirror in front of my face to show me my right brow, I almost walked out. It was clearly too thin and when I said that her reply was, "I know, I didn't mean to do that" well okay lady. thanks. It's just my face, don't worry. I also noticed wax all over my headband and in my hair. Wonderful. After doing the other brow, which thankfully looked better but not equal to the other. She then says "well this looks nice but do you want me to make it look like the other" I said no and that I would try to fill it in myself. Her last comment was "that one was easier, you should tell the next person to start with that one". Looking for a new salon in my new city, but it looks like it definitely won't be summerset. read more

My rating is not based on the people performing the services. It is based on the Salon. I arrived 30 mins early and had 3 services scheduled with the last ending at close. I was still waiting for my first service 55 mins later. There are no clocks - you are in a spa, you shouldn't be worried about time but I knew I had been waiting awhile. I finally got up and went to the desk to inquire about my first service. Someone checked and told me to go back to the room and within 5 mins someone came and for me - no apology. Had the second service all was good. The Massage was last and it was cut short by 10 mins because it was closing time. I got dressed and went to the front desk to check out. I inquired about a product used on my facial. The women was not interested in helping or answering any questions - it was closing time and I get it but I wasn't late, I didn't cause the delay. I asked for change to tip and was told "sorry, we cashed out" we can't access any money. Frustrating experience for first time. read more

Well, decided to treat the boyfriend and I to two facial massages. I called around 2:00 and they said we could come in at 2:30 or 3:00. We arrived right at three, filled out some paperwork and headed on back to separate rooms. My masseuse was very nice, explained that there were scrubbing, cleansing, examining, and massaging the shoulders, neck, arms, and hands. It lasted until 4:00 and is $55.00 - very fair! It was relaxing, with music playing, heated bed, and I didn't hear lobby noise - unlike other reviews. We had a very nice time, and I'd go back! read more

Jeremy Manning is one of the most talented massage therapists that I have experienced. He listened carefully when I explained my specific issues and the level of pressure that worked well for me. He seemed to have an intuitive sense when it came to honing in on knots and areas of tension. I like much more pressure than the average person and Jeremy had the stamina to maintain an intense level of pressure for the full 90 minutes. He's an experienced professional with a deep knowledge of the body and a very nice guy to boot! I highly recommend him. read more

I had an styling appointment with Jerry on Saturday. I showed him a picture of my hair which was done a week before in another salon and told him just want to look like that (open curls and volume towards the end of my hair) and told him it was done simply using brush and blowout. He said he knows exactly what I mean. My hair is up to my shoulders. He spent 45 min on my hair and finally what I saw was an straight hair. When I asked him he said he does not know why my hair does not take any curls! He said it might be because of the finishing product they have used on your hair in another salon!!! And kept spraying my hair. Obviously he did not charge me and I had to come back home wash my hair and style it myself because I was running late. Never never never will go back to that salon. People, please Do not go there for hair services!!!!!!! They destroyed one of my best occasions. read more

I had my first shellac manicure done here recently and it was less than impressive. I usually visit the asian nail salons becuase they are fast, and good at what they do. Not only did my shellac manicure not come with a buffing of my nails or a real filing (there was residue from my last manicure) but the job was messy and I had polish on my fingers when i walked out. Two days later my shellac was peeling off already becuase the edges weren't clean. For $30 I would expect at least a cuiticle treatment and for it to last longer than two days...I was really impressed by the staff and the salon itsself but I really am disspointed in the service that I ended up getting and the quality of the products that were used. Probably wont be returning for a shellac manicure. read more

I usually go to Rayna for an Eyebrow wax and she does a fantastic job, she's the only person I trust!! This past Sunday, I decided to check out some other services she offers and I got a facial. It was the most relaxing hour I have had in a while and can't wait to get another one. I loved it so much, I set up an appointment for my boyfriend to get one! I felt like a fortune cookie a couple times (Get a facial, you'll understand what I mean.) That made for a good laugh. Rayna was patient with all the questions I asked and chose the right products for me based on what I wanted to focus on with my skin. AND OMG! Her tiny hands are filled with magic. I will continue to recommend Rayna always because she is a talented person filled with such love and passion for her job. I had never been here before but had a gift card from my husband. I'm already committed to a stylist and do t get my nails done, so a massage was my pick. I haven't had one in over ten years, I've always been nervous to go again due to weight gain. Made my appointment on the phone, which was easy and the receptionist was pleasant. Walked in and wasn't greeted, I signed in and took a seat ten minutes before my appointment time. Time came and went and still never greeted. Fifteen minutes past a receptionist came and asked if I had been helped and realized at that time she had sent the MT home. She ran back and was able to stop him. She rushed me back to the room to do the paperwork. The area for massage was gorgeous. Perfectly relaxing and calming, wish I had sat there for longer! Nate came out and took me back and got me situated. He asked about the back pain and got to work. He had the perfect touch and pressure to get me feeling better. At the end he waited for me to dress and walked me back to the waiting area and got me water. I was able to relax some more before going up to pay. I'd give this five stars if it weren't for the check in process. Place was clean and calm, not loud or strong smelling of products like I've seen before at other large salons. My husband had planned a "me" day for me. He called ahead and chose a spa pkg for me which was supposed to include: mud wrap/scrub, facial, massage, hair cut and style, mani, pedi and makeup...& lunch. The morning went well in the spa area. Mud wrap, facial and massage went smoothly. After my massage, the massage therapist led me to the front of the salon for the second half of my day. I sat there for 45 minutes! My husband finally called the front desk (@ 1pm) and said "isn't she supposed to get lunch?" An older woman with short dark and purple hair walked up to me and said "Im sorry, I've been looking all over for you!" (She had walked past me several times). I had no idea who she was. I told her I had been waiting 45 mins in the place they told me to sit. ‍ They rushed me back to the cafe area where I was told to order whatever I wanted. I was t given a menu or pointed in the direction of one. I was given 15 mins to eat, and it took half that time for them to make my BLT. After lunch, I was introduced to my stylist and she was great and did a wonderful job! Afterwards, I told her I had a mani-pedi still. She walked with me up to the front counter and asked where I should go. The weird dark/purple haired lady said "no no, you're done. I don't have anyone here to do nails. And I told your husband that. No makeup, no nails. I only have 8 of my 20 people here today.".....mind you, my husband had called ahead and scheduled this pkg (as advertised on their website) a week in advance. So I left without the mani, pedi or makeup. The weird dark/purple haired lady was bruff to say the least. The communication and flow of the place is lacking. A little customer service training would go a long way! Overall, my services were good. The flow of the place was uncomfortable and strange. I would go back for individual services but never again for a full spa day. Also, this spa pkg, as advertised on their website, is $385. I didn't receive the mani, the pedi nor the makeup and they still charged my husband $349. read more

My boyfriend got me a spa package and I went to redeem it today. My mani/pedi with Lynn was great. I recommend seeing her, very friendly and great at what she does. However my massage was a different story. The room was freezing cold and very dry. The room was so small the girl giving my massage couldn't navigate around the the table! Usually you can hear that relaxing spa music when you get a massage from anywhere else, at this place however all you could hear was people talking outside your door and the phone from the lobby ringing nonstop. Might go back for my nails, but will never go back for a massage. Could not relax at all! read more

There was a vent in the ceiling making it possible to hear lots of cackling and conversation from other people in the salon. I came into Summerset a week before my sister's beach wedding in Florida. When I made the appointment, it was for two very basic salon services: a low-maintenance mani (cuticles be gone, some filing/shaping, and a clear top coat) and a pedicure to match my bridesmaid dress. When I arrived at the salon, my nail tech was ready for me, and she was nice enough. She did the pedi first to allow for drying time, and the color that she chose was spot on -- perfectly matched my dress. Since I arrived in socks and shoes, I was given disposable flip flops to wear while my toe polish dried, which was nice. So far, so good. Then it was time for the manicure. She barely touched my cuticles, the lengths and shapes of each fingernail were inconsistent, and at one point I noticed a small paper cut-sized scratch near the tip of my index finger. This would probably not be a big deal for most people -- hey, accidents happen, I get that -- but since I'm not a regular mani/pedi recipient, it was enough to elevate my manicure status from underwhelming to just plain unpleasant. Add to that my girl Paula Abdul's brush with bacterial infection at her local nail shop, which already had me a little leery about salon hygienic practices.... yeah, my baby-sized cut was all I needed to know that I probably won't be back. Really, the Yelp 2-star caption says it all: "Meh. I've experienced better." read more
