First visit with Theresa was ok....no where near what I wanted but I gave her a second chance in hopes we could communicate better... I'm embarrassed to show these but don't want someone to have a similar experience. I sent her the photos and said I wouldn't be making another appt and why and her reply was Ok. Not an apology for the chemical burn on my forehead or the patch of hair burned off or the awful color/highlight job....not sure what she was trying to do. The lighting in that place is so bad it wasn't until I got home under real lights that I was dumbfounded. And no apology. I have to wait several days and more money to fix this mess and hope the burn heals in time, nevermind the hair patch I am now missing. The stylist I saw tonight to try and fix it was just dumbstruck. So just a Heads Up about Heads Up Salon.

I love the use of natural products when possible like the tea tree oil. She is super friendly and asks questions to make sure she gets it right. Husband noted that she wasn't too much of a chatterbox, and had great attention to detail, evidenced in the cut. She spent about 35-40 minutes using mostly scissors and the shaver and blending it all together, so it wasn't a quick trip, but I'm sure if you were in a hurry, she'd be able to accommodate. Haircut was $18; great price. I noticed that the other 2 ladies working there cut at a pretty good pace as well, and with a decent flow of customers coming in and out, they didn't seem to be rushing. Big props to that. The facility itself is totally not what you'd imagine from the exterior. Somewhat of a old-fashioned barber shop with wooden walls and black leather seating, it's a good blend of the old with the new. Not super huge either, and in the waiting area, 5-6 comfy leather seats keep you company while you watch some TV. A good diverse of male clientele, with men in their 20s, all the way up to men in their 50s-60s. Each customer walked out happy, and some appeared to even be regulars. The ladies have a good sense of humor, and keep the atmosphere light and relaxed. Husband was happy, and it's great that it's pretty close to home, so a nice alternative to when we don't want to travel super far for a haircut! So, if you find yourself in this area, hop on by!
