This will be my second and last time coming to this location…read more My first experience here was getting a couples pedicure, where I was accidentally charged an additional $100 to my card at checkout. Since it was a busy weekend, I initially gave them the benefit of the doubt and didn't think much of it. I returned to the salon to get the overcharge refunded, and the gentleman at the register provided me with a $20 store credit as compensation for the inconvenience of having to drive back to the location. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I decided to return today for another pedicure so I could use the store credit I was given at this exact location about a month ago. However, I was told that they no longer accept those cards and that I would need to go to the Floyd location to use it. I explained the situation to the same gentleman who originally gave me the store credit. He told me that they no longer use those cards and proceeded to charge me $51 for my pedicure. I explained that if I had known beforehand that I wouldn't be able to use the credit at this location, I would have simply gone to the other location to begin with. His response was essentially just a nod, and I ultimately paid to avoid any further conflict, especially since it was clear the outcome wasn't going to change. At this point, it's not about the $20 credit--it's about the principle and the lack of communication and consideration for the customer. After being inconvenienced once because of an overcharge, I returned expecting to be able to use the compensation I was given, only to find out at checkout that I couldn't. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this location. I will also be letting my family and friends who recommended this salon know about my experience and will be recommending that they visit one of the other locations instead.

Only after I introduced myself ("Filomena, it's Carla from Chile") did your attitude change. Because my English is limited and your Spanish isn't good either, I made sure to write down and translate exactly what I wanted to say so I could explain it politely: "Hi Mena, I called you but you didn't answer. Since I left work early, I came because I had the time. It's not a big deal, I just don't like my haircut because it's flat and I want layers." At first, even though you only wanted to give me a lesson on how to style my hair, I said yes, I wanted your help. But when you started giving opinions about my face shape and telling me you had already done "many" layers, as if to say I didn't need more, that's when I decided to tell you no -- because it's not up to you to decide whether I like my own hair or not. I paid you over $500. And honestly, if after 30+ years in this business you still haven't figured out how to treat your clients with respect, maybe you should ask for a refund on that "experience" -- because clearly three decades haven't been enough for you to learn.
