When we walked in we were greeted and told to pick which table we wanted to sit on. We chose the booth table. The restaurant is very open and clean. The customer service is excellent, and the food was delicious. We had the lamb shank and chicken kabobs platters. It came with bunch of sauce/pickle beets/hummus/nan . To be honest it was way too much food for two people. We had to take at of leftovers . The waiters that were waiting on us kept coming by the table to ask if we needed anything. The meat was super dry, the sauces lacked flavor, the vegetables were over broiled, the bread was tough, the falafel were super dry and the "appetizers" were cole slaw and macaroni (straight out of a bad roadside diner.) genuinely bummed bc I bought a lot of food and had high expectations. As for the service...it was very slow, it took 30 minutes for us to receive our entrees which is puzzling because they were not busy. Located in a dirty and often dangerous parking lot where people approach you for money or break into your car type place. Each Plate comes with their appetizer sampler which includes a cup of wonderful lentil soup & 4 of their "salads" which is accompanied by a large fresh baked bread. Delicious and filling! The falafel plate I ordered had a scoop of fragrant yellow rice garnished with cranberries, raisins and almonds and I went to town. It's expensive if you get the plates, but if you get the sandwich only, it's a good deal for the quality and quantity of food. The first time, we got the chicken and lamb shwarma with pita wrap. The lamb was good, tender with a lot of flavor but the chicken was a bit dry. The second time we got the lamb but it wasn't as good as the first time. They brought out lentil soup on the house - the lentil soup was so good! They also have 4 different appetizer plate. Ordered the falafel both times and the baba ganoush. So good! Came for a late lunch and was pleasantly surprised by how big and nicely decorated it was. We were seated and were given menus for the first few minutes that we were there. We both ordered sandwich wraps. They were out of the beef shawarma so we got the beef kebab and gyro wraps. We saw other people got bread so we ordered one and it was so good. I wish the shawarma wrap had more flavors like onion and more tomato but the beef was flavorful and balanced. They give you a side of pickled vegetables as well. The bread didn't come out with the apps or the lentil, so we had to ask for it after 10 minutes. Would've been nice to get all of the apps at the same time. They ran out of Chicken Shawarma, which sucked. But we ended up getting mixed tikka skewers (lamb and chicken), a chicken tikka sandwich, and side of fries. The skewers were tasty, but very thick and well done -- I prefer tender meat. Would've been nice to have garlic fries or greek fries on the menu instead of regular fries, but tasty nonetheless. Disappointed with the sandwich. The garlic sauce wasn't great. Felt like I was eating a big skewer that was bathed in gravy inside of a wrap. They seemed to be understaffed. The waitress didn't check on us after the food arrived. I kept a menu at the table in case I wanted to order seconds, but she never asked if I wanted more food. Huge opportunity missed to upsell me. The restaurant has a big beautiful indoor seating area- we loved their hot Iraqi tea perfect for a chilly evening.
