This was maybe my third or fourth time there. It's a great small neighborhood walking distance Asian food option. I've gotten cashew chicken, avocado roll, beef and broccoli, pork lo mein before... today I got the General Tso's lunch set with hot and sour soup (though they gave wonton instead) and a salmon roll. The salmon roll was delicious. The wonton soup was good too although not quite what I ordered. It was takeout though and I didn't discover until I had walked away... Ordered dinner from here the other night. Our regular place wasn't open. Food was pretty good although my daughter didn't feel well after eating the pineapple chicken. Both times, the night we got the food and the following day as leftovers. Not sure if it was the food or nerves about everything going on. BF and I didn't have any problems with food. How do you mess up an order of shrimp chow mein? Its the easiest thing on your menu to make. Whatever drugs your chef is on please either replace your chef or close your doors and reevaluate your business process's and procedures and update your staff on taking orders. After reading all the wonderful reviews I am sincerely confused as to how this place got such a high rating???? Perhaps their Japanese and Chinese food is better than their Thai?! I came here after a delivery man slipped a menu into our office advertising this restaurant. I am wary of adverts like these (smack of desperation), but when I noticed they serve Thai I decided to try it out. What a mistake. I ordered the green curry lunch special and as soon as I opened the box I had a feeling the food would be terrible. The curry was congealed and filled with frozen okra and green beans (which wtf for a green curry?!) It tasted even worse than it looked, the curry had the consistency of mucus and tasted nothing like Thai Green Curry... I threw it away uneaten. Side note: my coworker ordered a bento box and he said his food was ok, but bland. Bottom line: the first and last time ordering from here. read more

This is the first time I am actually using the word terrible. I ordered through uber eats with the ordering totaling $121.12. For sure the food wasn't worth that! Starting with the green chicken curry..looked like they used food coloring and had terrible taste. The pineapple chicken fried didn't taste like the Thai pineapple fried rice..it seems like it started out like a regular fried rice and they added the pineapple chunks and chicken. Now it's confirmed that never order Thai food from a Chinese food place. I can't even give this place a 1 star. read more

sultan wok is our go-to for amazing chinese food. they deliver to us even though we are really far (20 minutes away) for only 4$. we have never had bad food from them, never a bite of chicken that tasted weird. sesame chicken, general tso's chicken, lemon chicken, sweet n sour chicken and dumplings is what we usually order and have never been disappointed. the people are kind and remember us too! other Chinese food tastes bad compared to sultan wok! read more

We typically only order from Sultan Wok and usually have no complaint. This past order was just a dinner for one, Egg Foo Young and an egg roll. Order was delivered fairly quickly and left by the front door. The egg roll was tough and small. The egg foo was cooked ok but the ingredients used were mostly onions and some chewy scraps of what I guess was supposed to be beef. The gravy was thin and off putting, not typical at all. It was filling but nothing about it would recommend a repeat. There are other Chinese restaurants in the area that deliver, I will try one of them next time. read more

We have ordered take-out from this restaurant for years. Lately, the quality has gone down and this week was terrible. The food we ordered was overcooked and tasted awful. We had vegetable steamed dumplings, which were very mushy and tasteless. Sesame Beef was tough and oversauced. Our Lo Mein was soaked in what seemed like soy sauce (very dark brown) and was mushy and salty. Finally, the Buddhist Delight was overcooked and oversauced. The tofu wasn't cooked correctly. I haven't been to this place in awhile but they deliver to my job. Located on main street in englishtown. I ordered moo shu and it was very glurpy which was disappointing. The pancakes that came with them were hard and dried out. The best part was the home made egg roll which was delicious. The sushi was okay not amazing. Maybe it would be better if I went there and sat down to have a meal. But I wasnt impressed at all. There are better places that deliever I just figured I would give them a try since they used to be so good. I know they have many more locations so they might be better. One can hope but this place was not my cup of tea. Although they were quick on delivering, the food was not up to par. Maybe they had an off night but now it's going to make me think twice about ordering from there. They do have a huge selection from chinese,thai, Indo-chinese and japanese. I've been ordering from Sultan Wok for as long as I can remember. In my opinion it's the best Chinese food delivery around. Like all restaurants they have their ups and downs but lately they have been really good. I would say that out of the hundreds of meals I've ordered I can remember 3 or 4 that I wasn't happy with. What prompted me to write this review is the observation that I ordered food from their website last night at 7:22pm and the delivery person rang my doorbell at 7:34pm. That's 12 minutes for 2 pints of Wonton Soup, 2 Egg Rolls, A large order of Boneless Spareribs, a quart of Sweet & Sour Chicken, a pint of Shredded Pork with Hot Garlic Sauce, and a pint of Szechuan Beef. DO NOT PUT YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO IN THEIR WEBSITE. This general area has all horrible Chinese food, so I have to rely on Sultan Wok. (BTW feel free to message me of you know of a good place.) The food is decent, they make nice shrimp toast, and they have sushi and Thai on the menu. When I've gotten the sushi it was eh, like sometimes decent and sometimes boring. Nothing wrong with the freshness of the protein, more that the rice was like dried out maybe. The food is good, not like stunning good, but not bad. I wish I could do 3.5 stars, because they aggravate me from upcharging for lots of things, like substituting brown rice, or switching to broccoli instead of red and green peppers, or getting an extra sauce. ================ OMG I'm editing my review. I just read that they hack credit cards used on their website, and I googled around and lots of people said it. And I've used their website ordering and had my card hacked! This place is pretty good! I've had a couple of different meals here. While they do serve Thai food, I definitely prefer the Chinese food at this restaurant. I've tried the chicken of Thai and yellow curry with chicken, and while it's not horrible, I've definitely had better Thai food. I ordered a combination platter with general tso's chicken with fried rice and it was pretty delicious. Also have tried their sweet and sour chicken. It was just okay, the chicken was a little mushy by the time I got home to eat it. Maybe it just was waiting in the to go box for too long. I do think that the fried rice here is really good. Probably one of the best in the area (that I've found so far). They also deliver so that's pretty convenient as well. Overall, I'd definitely go back to try more. read more
