Pork fried rice
Erin G.

The wontons here are homemade so I need to give them credit for making their own dumplings. The wonton soup is so good. The egg drop soup is a little too thick for my preference but I still enjoyed it. Their crispy wonton chips are just the regular bagged chips which are not what I like. I did go to a Chinese takeout restaurant that made fresh wonton chips and this place should think about doing that. It's really easy to make them especially if they have the deep fryer going all day. The pork fried rice was good. It has some crispy and more burned bits on parts of the rice which I like. The rice was brown colored like soy sauce and not that neon yellow color. The brown color means they don't put yellow coloring in it. I appreciate that. The pork in the fried rice was fresh tasting. A good stop for some takeout food and the wontons were great.

The food is great, but the delivery guy had an extreme sour look on his face. Not sure why, but i will not do a delivery anymore.

My go to for local takeout. The wonton soup here at least has flavor and love the ribs.

It's way more expensive than your typical Chinese place but it's so so much better. If this was in Philly it would be a monthly go to - at least. The meat is actually real meat as opposed to the scraps you get at a traditional Chinese place. And everything about it is awesome. Service was really nice also. Obviously you have to deal with some loud mouth jersey people but that comes with the territory of the location. Definitely will be back again asap.

The food was excellent. We had wonton soup, egg drop soup, edamame, dumplings, and egg rolls as our appetizer. Standard Cantonese fare done well. It was reminiscent of Sunday nights with my grandparents growing up, except the atmosphere was so much better. Nothing like a great Lazy Susan at the center of a round table with good friends and good food. We had moo shu pork, Grand Mariner shrimp, sizzling, black pepper fillet mignon and a general Tso chicken. All of the proteins were perfectly cooked and the sauces were flavorful. We had some delicious lo mein to accompany our meal. We ended dinner with a piece of moist sweet carrot cake (an unexpected pleasure in a Chinese restaurant) a dark chocolate cake and some creamy, delicious vanilla ice cream. Great company, great food, and exceptional service we will be back again. Please put us in Chris's section .

Everywhere I go I hear people rave about the quality of the food here and being the noble reviewer I am I decided to put aside my PTSD and give King's a shot... and I am so glad I did. King's has now become a staple in my household whenever everyone is in the mood for Chinese food. You truly cannot go wrong with anything on the menu and everything I've tried so far has been delicious. The sesame chicken is great, the dumplings are small but flavorful, and the noodles are OUTSTANDING. I also really appreciate the friendly staff, and the owner Frank runs a very efficient operation. Whether it's pickup or dine-in, I can confidently say you will love King's and it might just become a staple in your household too.

The owner, Freddy, is very chatty and told us on weekends, they have a line for tables. His service is amazing, he connects with all his patrons, and is super generous. He brought us hot and sour soup, additional dumplings, and gave us a taste of his chicken and eggplant dish. We ordered the standard Chinese take out items--general Tsos chicken, vegetable lo mein and string beans stir fried with garlic. Everything came out quickly. The general tsos chicken could have been more crispy, but I appreciated that they weren't just half breading. The vegetable lo mein was good, but the string beans were covered with pork. The menu doesn't state anything about pork, and I don't eat red meat. I didn't want to make it inconvenient, especially after Freddy had been so friendly and generous, so I just scraped off the pork. The hot and sour soup also had bits of pork in it, though it is normally vegetarian. Wonderful service and food, just wished the menu was more clear.

The delicate…read morewontons were packed with flavorful filling and coated in a rich, aromatic chili oil that delivered the perfect balance of heat, spice, and savory depth. The sauce had just enough numbing warmth without overpowering the dish, and every bite was incredibly satisfying. The texture combination of silky wrappers and bold sauce made it an unforgettable starter. Beyond the appetizer, the restaurant offered a warm atmosphere and attentive service that made the dining experience even better. The presentation was thoughtful, portions were generous, and the flavors tasted authentic and carefully prepared. If you enjoy dishes with a little spice and a lot of flavor, the wontons in chili oil are absolutely worth ordering. I would definitely come back just for them.

Shu House is a great staple if you're looking for authentic local Chinese food…read more The food here is really, really good--pretty much everything we ordered was delicious. The standout for me was the Jiang Bei Hot Sauce Live Whole Fish, which was packed with flavor and absolutely worth ordering. You can split this dish amongst a whole family since the portions are huge! The General Tso's Chicken is always a classic, and I love the tender chicken drenched in tangy sauce. This is where things got a little tricky. We had a reservation but ended up waiting about 40 minutes past our reservation time to actually be seated. On a busy weekend, I understand restaurants can get slammed, but waiting 40 minutes after having a reservation is frustrating. It seems like their weekend reservation situation can get a little chaotic, so just be prepared to practice your patience. Once we were seated, the staff was fine and the service was efficient. Overall, I'll return for the food or get takeout but just be prepared to wait a bit.

We took out a few dishes from the new ownership and were utterly disgusted with the quality. It's been a few more years. I am not sure if ownership changed again, but we decided to give it another chance. I didn't recognize the owner - not sure if it was because of the absence of mask. But first impression was she didn't care to be cordial or friendly, just doing the basic part as a wait staff. On the plus side, the chairs and tables have been upgraded from what I could remember. We ordered our usual dishes in order to gauge the current quality. 2 staple Sichuan dishes: Kung Pao Chicken ($14.95) and Shredded Beef with Hot Green Pepper ($17.95). We also added a noodle dish: Sauteed Noodle with Pork & Scallion ($11.95). Kung Pao Chicken was rendered differently - sweeter and not as dark but tasty none the less. The Shredded Beef was also slightly different, thicker and obviously tenderized with baking soda. It was good enough. The sauteed noodle was good but it's a generic dish so no authenticity to consider. A number of deviations from prior experience. The chicken and beef dishes each only 1 bowl of rice, instead of a big serving bowl for the table. We had to ask for one additional bowl of rice. Not sure if it was missed but we didn't get charged for it. The tea wasn't complimentary any more. $1.50 for the pot. Overall, we weren't disappointed because we came in with low expectation. We will be back again hoping to see that they can at least maintain the same consistency.
