    Breakfast burrito
    Karl G.

This adorable roadside bakery is the perfect pitstop on your drive to Leavenworth! Located about an hour outside of Seattle and conveniently just off the main road, Sultan Bakery serves up a variety of baked goods and hot breakfast items -- ideal fuel for a day of hiking in the Washington backcountry. - Breakfast Burrito -- the ultimate road trip bite; just $4, filled with warm cheese, egg, and sausage; simple, hearty, and satisfying - Almond Croissant -- stuffed generously with almond paste (just how I like it!), finished with powdered sugar and slivered almonds; buttery and rich - Blueberry Danish -- flaky, glazed exterior with a cream cheese center topped with plump blueberries; a solid sweet treat In addition to the bakery counter, they also have a full dine-in café if you're looking to sit down and enjoy your food. Ambience was bustling on an early Saturday morning with a line of hikers and locals alike. Parking is limited, but turnover is quick. Service was speedy and super friendly, even with the crowd. If you're heading east toward the mountains, make sure to swing by Sultan Bakery -- a cozy, delicious start to your WA adventure!

What a hidden gem!!! Actually there were quite a few ppl lined up when we got there, but we were blown away by their quality! Me and my friends were on our way to a hike and my sweet friend suggested this place. It did not disappoint! They have a mass variety of baked goods and pastries and a huge selection of breakfast items like burritos, sandwiches, soups, omelettes, etc. I ordered a sandwich for my hike and a super burrito to eat there, but was not expecting such huge portions for such an affordable price!! The burrito was so delicious and stacked, I could not finish it!! My friends ordered some of the pastries and I managed to steal a bite. It was so fluffy and delicious!!! The staff are so kind and patient despite being so busy and I love that there's tables to sit at. There's parking out at front as well. Definitely would come here again if I'm in the area!!

I regret to inform you that this bakery is annoyingly good. The Orange Filo Cake is perfect--syrupy, zesty, and aggressively layered--it will ruin every other dessert for you going forward, and the sandwiches are built on slices of homemade white bread that are so soft and delicious. I resign to coming here again.

100/10. This unassuming gem has everything you need, good food and great people. We got a sandwich to split and the final product was outrageous. It had the perfect about of toppings and meat, a true work of art. The bread was stunning, a true master class in bread making. It was soft, delicate, and perfect. I was peeping other plates and it all looked delicious, the bakery case was also deadly. I would be in trouble if I lived nearby cause there would be no stopping my carb-load.

On your way to ski at Stevens Pass?? This is a must stop! The best bakery, up there with Seattle quality. They have break burritos to go and the baked goods are out of this world. It's super clean and all their treats look top tier. Staff is friendly and service is super quick.

Amazing bakery in the small town of Sultan. Traveling from Seattle to Wenatchee, I was told I *must* stop and get a pastry, and glad I did- omg I was overwhelmed! So many delicious-looking pastry's, I'll take one of everything. I went with the chocolate donut bar and cinnamon cup- lot of frostings in the middle- YUM. Both so fresh and wonderful. I save the cinnamon cup for after dinner and was still soft!. Also a restaurant with some breakfast items and drinks (didn't get a full menu). An awesome roadside bakery. Very quaint and a bring a book and read type of vibe. The employees were helpful and very nice (especially how indecisive I was!) Must stop when passing through!

You might be going to Sultan BaKery for a specific item, and there are many to love like the cinnamon cup, breakfast sandwich on homemade (enormous) bread, or the criminally inexpensive but satisfying breakfast burrito. You might be going because it's a convenient stop off Highway 2 as you head to Stevens or come back from the mountains. You might have been going with your family for generations. Whatever the reason, Sultan Bakery will deliver fresh and homemade baked goods and breakfast/lunch items (skewing classic American) and the vibe of a place that's been there forever, happy to serve you whatever brings you in.

The cutest little hole in the wall with a never ending menu. When stopping here you need to pick someone out of the pastry case because they're all delicious. The breakfast sandwich is HUGE but very good. I would come back here for the humble pricing alone. If you find yourself driving by make sure to stop by and get a little sweet treat!

The summary is get the baked goods, not the food from the kitchen. We got a breakfast burrito and it was $15. It was absolutely ginormous but it wasn't good at all. It was just an unbalanced and unseasoned scramble of stuff in a tortilla with food spilling out onto the sides and odd sharp cheddar cheese on top. I'm glad they gave salsa because it needed some flavor but even the salsa tasted like cheap stuff from a jar. The people who took our order seemed kind but when I asked them if there was ham, bacon and sausage in the burrito or if you had to choose one they didn't know. We got a cinnamon twist and a pecan pull apart and those were both good, although the twist could have used more cinnamon. The inside of the restaurant is pretty basic. I didn't see napkins anywhere so it seems like they only give them with the food. We definitely won't be coming back. There's just better places on the way to Stevens than this one.

I've been meaning to stop by this bakery for ages, especially on my way to Stevens Pass and Leavenworth. I believe it's the perfect spot to take a quick break and refresh with some delicious treats. I was here on a Wednesday morning, so it wasn't as busy, and the service was pretty fast. What sets Sultan Bakery apart is the impressive variety it offers. Whether you're in the mood for a savory sandwich or a sweet Danish, the extensive menu caters to all tastes. It's a true gem for those who love baked goods. I tried the Strawberry Danish and Strawberry scone, and both were outstanding--no exaggeration. I'm looking forward to revisiting soon to try some other items.

The staff are sweet and kind. And the food, this is one of the best breakfast spots I've ever been to in my life apart from Ludi's in Seattle. The food is special. I ordered the Big Chief and it was phenomenal. The gravy was of something else my partner describes it as a cheesy béchamel. It was delicious. And the cinnamon roll. Are you kidding me!!! Oh I wish I had one in front of me right now. The cinnamon roll bread was so fresh and baked to perfection where it had this chewy middle. Trust me it was properly baked. And the icing is everything. They laid it on heavy and I thought damn that's going to be over powering however it was so light, airy, buttery and not too sweet. I don't know who's cooking back there but just know it's been two months and I still talk about this place. I thought I would be going back for the cabin. No, I'll be going back for this. Side note, my partner got toast and their were 4 large buttered slices of rye bread that also seemed freshly baked.

We just viewed it like maybe they are training new hires the younger waitress seemed to lack experience. The restaurant business is tough especially in a smaller town off highway 2. We are willing to be patient...Why? We LOVE the AWESOME food and BIG portions! We couldn't resist and came back in 2 days. The service and food were quicker and still equally amazing. But it's worth the wait!! If they sometimes forget to fill up our coffee cup, we just mention it and they jumped on it. For one waitress and one assistant running the show, we were quite impressed! The food: The omelettes are the chubbiest and packed and made with care. Every bite was piping hot we enjoyed it so much! Even though they use some frozen veg, it was still delish and we liked the cauliflower in there it was a neat mild flavor and texture. The hashbrowns are plentiful and the perfect consistency maybe slightly thicker would be my only critique. I personally like lots of fluffiness inside the crispy outside. Still good. We left feeling very full and happy. The coffee is hot and fresh tasting. When it's nice outside, you get a lovely view of the mountains and trees. Even though we are from Monroe, it felt like being on vacation somewhere far far away. We saw this big table of people with lunch items and they looked amazing too. Heaping piles. They have a diner counter area by the kitchen. The main dining is one open area with lots of booth seating. We thought they can totally fit more tables and add some partitions to offer more privacy. It's nice and clean everywhere including the bathrooms. Heard they serve homemade pies? Wow! Don't sleep on this place it deserves five gold bars!!

I've been here 4 times and every single time my order is incorrect; 3/4 times, I get home and find out it's incorrect and disappointed and live too far to go back for them to correct. 1 time, we decided to eat there because the little side room was unlocked, available, warm and cozy, so we were able to rectify the order while still on-site. The girls ringing in the order need training on how to use the POS System and ring in exactly what is being ordered. I've been in the restaurant industry for almost 30 and I am fully aware by adding bacon or cheese to something, there is going to be an up charge. After asking if said additional items can be added, advised "yes, of course" and confirming okay, I would like the mushroom burger with added bacon and the cashier confirms and repeats back to me exactly that, it's very disappointing to receive my order, that is now incorrect because it was not what was ordered. To then be confronted by the nasty curmudgeon owner, after I've nicely asked if they can add said missing items, talking down to us, saying we have to pay for added items, bacon and cheese aren't free... no shit, Sherlock. That's what we ordered, EXPECTING and ASSUMING to pay - it's not our fault your employees doesn't ring the items in correctly AFTER confirming yes AND REPEATING OUR (correct) ORDER BACK TO US. Should not be talking to anyone in such away, especially paying customers! How about train your employee to take orders and ring in items CORRECTLY.

We ordered the $35 clam orzo and the $54 New York steak medium rare. The New York comes with no sides. $54 is the price for the steak on its own. They don't have a menu of sides and we weren't asked if we wanted any sides with it. The "New York" that we got was literally just a chunk of fat with maybe 5 bites of meat on it. It was literally cold and still blue, so rare. It had barely been put onto the grill. The flavor was bland, like a cheap steak you'd get at buzz in. Definitely not a $50+ steak and was not cooked appropriately. The clam orzo looked promising. Huge portion and smelled delicious, but I took one bite and it was so salty I couldn't eat it. Literally tasted like the salt container fell in it. They did end up refunding us for the steak and the orzo. We paid for our drinks, the calamari and left hungry. Still ended up paying $50 (plus a $10 tip for our nice waitress) for an appetizer, two bottled IPA's and one rum cocktail. Also worth mentioning that the tables are very close together. It felt like we were eating with the strangers next to us. Our seat on one side was a shared bench with other guests and it was very loud, not a problem unless you want to have a semi private conversation. But the BEST part of the evening was our server, Brenton. He was funny, kind, very good at his job, checked in with us at exactly the right times and just generally made the evening a great one. Am rating 4 stars instead of 5 for two reasons: 1) They have no gluten free options. Not a GF bun, bread., pasta nor pizza dough. I understand not having many, but to have no GF choices is just not great these days. My husband with celiac disease had very few options. 2) Need more and reservable outside seating. Especially on the beautiful days (like this one was) - having to sit inside was a big bummer. They had more tables outdoors but we were told those were waiting areas and that we couldn't eat there. Anyway - a good spot and an even better one if they made just a couple changes.
