Large Full Hookup Sites…read more I've stayed here twice now with a very long 5th wheel RV. Both times, I made my reservation by phone (816-503-4805). The reservationist was very pleasant both times. I've only stayed in the West Loop and only in Site 73. This site is large and on a corner. It slopes to the front (street) pretty good. Bring leveling blocks for the front of your RV. The site is very deep and should accommodate the largest of RVs. The site has 50 amp power, water and sewer with partial shade at the back. Satellite from the roof is perfect here. I paid $30 per night in July 2017. I'd stay here again. Clean and quiet and not far from shopping, restaurants etc.

It's a great place for long stay parking, especially if you are in KC for a few months working like I was. It's very clean and well lit. Full hookups for 50 or 30 amp electricity, water and sewer. There is no WiFi or cable. I ordered an AT&T DSL as the other local companies don't service the area. AT&T was great. You pay the monthly electricity and water is included. Call first, set up a meeting with Fan and schedule a time to pull in. I have a 1989 24' Class C and a perfect spot, but there were quite a few larger Motorhomes and Campers.

It's a gated campground, which made us feel secure, and they offer a discount for military veterans--definitely appreciated. We tent camped on a site with electricity, but found that the space had very little flat, grassy area for setting up a tent comfortably. It's clear that this campground caters more to RVs than tent campers. That said, the campsites were spacious, and the entire campground was clean, quiet, and well-kept. Bathrooms were functional and generally clean, but one downside was that they didn't provide hand soap, which felt like a basic necessity that was missing. The location is a big plus--just 15 minutes from Arrowhead Stadium, which is super convenient if you're in town for a Kansas City Chiefs game. Be aware that outside firewood isn't allowed, and you must purchase it on-site for $7 per bundle. Overall, it's a peaceful, tidy spot with generous sites and a great location--just be prepared if you're tent camping, as amenities lean more RV-friendly.

I felt safe and welcome. I visited with many people that day, including one staff member. All were fun, relaxed and so kind. I was told there is sacred ground there. In truth, all ground is sacred, but I know what they meant. I was away from my day to day troubles and felt a bit like Alice in Wonderland, the world was unique, not normal in the best of ways. Walking a trail, I came a cross a small treasure chest near a old campfire sight. I even walked the trail in the buff, loving the breeze and enjoying the peace. I left reinvigorated and ready for what life has next. I will be back and am glad to recommend this wonderful place.

Primarily I just hiked around but I saw many people bird watching, and enjoying the quiet nature as well. The best part is the scenic overlook that gives a beautiful view of the river valley, especially at sunset. When I visited the park, it felt calm and less crowded. That definitely makes it a nice place for families or anyone who wants a break from busy life. My suggestion to everyone one is to hike at this park and then head to the town of Weston to enjoy some hot wine at Pritle Wineries followed by amazing food at the O'malleys pub.

If you hike along the West Ridge you will climb up to the ridge and come up to some overlooks that look into Kansas. The park was unmanned on Indigenous Peoples Day, but folks were able to access the park. If you have pets, the park has a small dog park at the front end. Plenty of benches can be found along the lower trails to take a load off. Right now the leaves are turning into their fall shades and the birds that come in the fall are arriving for the birders that are on the hunt. Plenty of information can be found at the trail head. There are clean bathrooms. The water fountains don't work, but the taps do. The weather today was awesome. I will return.

Got in super late driving from Wisconsin. We had a Uhaul with a vehicle on a trailer plus another…read morevehicle. I couldn't find the cottages or guest service office Because it was dark, but there were two security guards that were beyond helpful. He had us follow them to the correct location and checked us in without any hassle. He made sure we parked our uhaul close to our cottage and knew we were exhausted and told us to get some rest. The level of compassion he displayed really sets the bar for services. I wish I had gotten his name. The cottage itself is VERY clean, super cute!! Wish we were staying longer!!

We get there to be told that it's a not a thing and that it was 4pm check in only. Ok cool got it should have said that on the phone.. We only stayed for one night. The cottage smelt like sewage. There were spider webs in the corners and when we woke up in the morning there were ants everywhere. I had them in my cup (water) my son also had a spider crawling on him inside the cottage. And the AC has a limit. So hot day at the park and your ac won't go lower then 70.
