Large Full Hookup Sites…read more I've stayed here twice now with a very long 5th wheel RV. Both times, I made my reservation by phone (816-503-4805). The reservationist was very pleasant both times. I've only stayed in the West Loop and only in Site 73. This site is large and on a corner. It slopes to the front (street) pretty good. Bring leveling blocks for the front of your RV. The site is very deep and should accommodate the largest of RVs. The site has 50 amp power, water and sewer with partial shade at the back. Satellite from the roof is perfect here. I paid $30 per night in July 2017. I'd stay here again. Clean and quiet and not far from shopping, restaurants etc.

Dan the owner was overly helpful on so many levels. He helped set up and insulated my water for the crazy cold KC winters. Plus I didn't have the best sewer connection, he ended up creating a pvc pipe connection for me. It's a great place for long stay parking, especially if you are in KC for a few months working like I was. It's very clean and well lit. Full hookups for 50 or 30 amp electricity, water and sewer. There is no WiFi or cable. I ordered an AT&T DSL as the other local companies don't service the area. AT&T was great. You pay the monthly electricity and water is included. Call first, set up a meeting with Fan and schedule a time to pull in. I have a 1989 24' Class C and a perfect spot, but there were quite a few larger Motorhomes and Campers.

They mowed within 10 feet of where we sitting and were in no hurry to move on mowing some areas twice. Of all the hundreds of acres to mow getting that close for that long was rude.

It was exceptionally hot the week of our stay there and we really wanted some shade to help break the triple digit temps. Site 8, a Premium concrete site with almost full shade all day. A large FHU back in site, with a solid concrete pad. Booked it all online and its pretty straightforward, the photos of the sites are pretty accurate. I believe the premium sites are worth the few extra bucks. Full concrete slab with a patio, a metal picnic table and a fire pit and shade trees. Most of the premium sites have partial to full shade. Our rig and HDT fit nicely on our site unhooked with some extra room, not sure it would of all fit in a lot of the regular spots. Our site was exactly what we were hoping for. The site was pretty flat, with a slight slope back but very easy for leveling the rv. Power, water and sewer drain are all on the drivers side of the slab and fairly close to each other, within a couple feet and on the shady side. A nice feature on the water hook up is the tee double faucet set up, allowing you to run a second water line if needed. Controlled access gates, the friendly camp host is on site, the park ranger patrols the grounds regularly. Its very peaceful and secure. There are limited interior lights on at night, so light polution is minimal. Did not use them, but the restroom and shower facilities looked well maintained and modern. Dumpsters are located in the middle of the park. Primarily I just hiked around but I saw many people bird watching, and enjoying the quiet nature as well. The best part is the scenic overlook that gives a beautiful view of the river valley, especially at sunset. When I visited the park, it felt calm and less crowded. That definitely makes it a nice place for families or anyone who wants a break from busy life. My suggestion to everyone one is to hike at this park and then head to the town of Weston to enjoy some hot wine at Pritle Wineries followed by amazing food at the O'malleys pub.

If you hike along the West Ridge you will climb up to the ridge and come up to some overlooks that look into Kansas. The park was unmanned on Indigenous Peoples Day, but folks were able to access the park. If you have pets, the park has a small dog park at the front end. Plenty of benches can be found along the lower trails to take a load off. Right now the leaves are turning into their fall shades and the birds that come in the fall are arriving for the birders that are on the hunt. Plenty of information can be found at the trail head. There are clean bathrooms. The water fountains don't work, but the taps do. The weather today was awesome. I will return.

Did not have a good stay. We called early to inquire about early check in and was informed that we…read morehad to check in and see which we understand. We get there to be told that it's a not a thing and that it was 4pm check in only. Ok cool got it should have said that on the phone.. We only stayed for one night. The cottage smelt like sewage. There were spider webs in the corners and when we woke up in the morning there were ants everywhere. I had them in my cup (water) my son also had a spider crawling on him inside the cottage. And the AC has a limit. So hot day at the park and your ac won't go lower then 70.
