It is with a heavy heart that I have to leave a review as low as this one. August 15th 2024 will be a day that forever haunts me, my wife, and children. For the last 4 years we have made it an annual occurrence to utilize this camp ground with the rest of our church family, but this year was very very different. On the evening of August 15th 2024 I watched over fifty people....men, woman, children, and the elderly herded like livestock and evicted from a campground in middle of the night with zero probable cause or reason. Need I remind you that the majority were of African American and Hispanic descent. I watched park rangers blind individuals by spotlighting them as they attempted to sort through the chaos of everything that was happening and gather their belongings at the campsites they all rightfully paid for. This all starts with the camp attendants Travis and his schizophrenic, bipolar, crazed, demented, unbalanced, unhinged, distracted, irrational, and maniacal wife. I have never in my life experienced such trashy, unprofessional, tasteless, unethical, and dishonorable behavior in my life. She was operating with zero regard for human life as her head spun around like the exorcist in complete hysteria stating over and over again and I repeat "It's not my job to get out of bed in my underwear in the middle of the night and verify who is doing what"...... Hmmm I think we all know where this review is going, because the sheer delusion one must have is apparent in that simple but profound statement with the given situation of expelling entire families into sheer and utter darkness with zero evidence to back up their decision.... Over and over again we were told and I quote "this decision is above our head"...... by this time I'm guessing anyone reading this review is wondering the same thing 50+ people were thinking during this whole eviction process. ????? What???? This doesn't make sense!!!! Your right this makes zero sense, as most racially motivated and religious discrimination cases don't. There is no doubt that this whole situation had to do with race and religion, as the only campers that were left at the site after the eviction were Caucasian and not connected to the church.
Travis and his wife need to be terminated immediately before they hurt anyone else from their reckless behavior and sheer disregard for all of humanity.
It is absolutely disgusting to know that people like this exist in our society.
Thank God for the church!!!! They have not won, but in all actuality they have brought about their ruin and demise.
Me and my family will NEVER camp here again. My children are completely traumatized from the chain of events and for individuals to put children through such mental torture is a crime in itself.... Travis and his wife are guilty of child abuse, elder abuse, and crimes against humanity for everything that they have done. read more
