Shanae is not honest she allowed our ultrarich Landlord to bully her and to take our $3000 security deposit and I see other reviews just like this they are not to be trusted or ever to be worked with stay out of Suite One property management at all cause I wish I would've known that four years ago and I gave them a rave review four years ago when we signed the contract we signed the contract with Shanae not with Randy the owner but yet somehow randy dictated everything that Sinead decided to do and you're right the other person that did the terrible review document everything because they will steal your money they will rob you high and dry they will make you feel like shit at the lowest most possible lowest time of your life when you're moving and you're the most stressed and they should not be in business. They should not even own a business in Paso Robles or anywhere. I'm so disappointed by their bad behavior. I wish there was something I could do but I'm now 2500 miles away and I wish there was a government regulation. Bad experience all together. First and foremost they will not follow the law in regard to your security deposit so BEWARE!! Make sure you document everything if dealing with them. Suite one staff in Paso Robles, Ca is by far the best I have encountered in my life time! In my 70 plus years, I have seen pretty much more than my share of managers! Shanea and Matt Montijo are the best! They are kind, professional at all times. Experienced in their field and very well educated in this area! During our final walk through inspection my son and I were told our deposit would be returned. Maintenance items earlier detected, namely, dust on a fan and window blind and a smudge on the lighting switch plate, had been corrected. I was shocked to be charged for a total cleaning and some painting. Beware of this company. read more

Phoned Suite One on May 1st, inquiring about a rental property in Paso Robles that had been posted for 142 days. The women who answered the phone seemed very young and hesitant about answering any questions, or just plain didn't know. I provided my information, expressing interest in renting the property starting June 1st, and would even consider signing a lease, if necessary. The woman said she would speak to the owner, who lives on the property, and get back to me. Since then, CRICKETS! I contacted my real estate professional in Paso Robles, who also attempted to contact Suite One Property Management on my behalf - nothing but answering machines, and no response. Today (May 6th), I again attempted to contact Suite One, and she answered! She said yes, she remembered me, but said when she spoke to the owner last Friday, the owner wanted a tenant *this* month, and that they had a client who was ready to move in on Wednesday of this week. Suite One knew how much I wanted this rental, yet did not even have the common courtesy to contact me, as she said she would, after speaking with the owner. I would have made arrangements to rent the property this month. She never returned my real estate agents calls either. For ANY business, this is just extraordinarily poor customer service. If you expect even reasonable customer service or response, you would be best advised to avoid Suite One, as they proved their worthlessness in this deal. COMMON COURTESY is not in the DNA of Suite One. read more

I appreciate your quick response. Just to expand a little bit on a few things. I know what my lease says and that wasn't something I was arguing with. I simply called originally back in October to see if the owners would consider letting us get a dog. I would understand if they wanted to stick with their request in the lease but I don't think there is any harm in asking. Your employee said she would contact the owner and let me know either way. I never heard anything back. Even if the answer is no, it's nice to get a response. As far as the smoke detectors, if they were in compliance when we first moved in that would have never been a question. But 1 detector was missing when we first moved in. And all but 2 were from when the house was built in 2005. The other 2 were from 2008. Your maintenance guy even said they should have been replaced with compliant detectors. I'm not a lawyer but in 2014 law changed for the landlord to be responsible for the detectors in the house (California SB 745). On the microwave issue, called December 17th and it was replaced January 9th. I can understand some delays and things happen as well. But being sympathetic or even apologetic can ease frustration in people. If your office gal was more of either of those it would have been different. I own a business that is service based. I have 280 residential customers and almost 20 commercial customers. How you talk to people and make them feel is a huge part of customer service. Property management is probably different but customer service is customer service. Again I really appreciate the follow up. And we love the house, and the neighborhood. These guys claim to be a property management company but when I called them with an issue they claimed they were just an "agency" who found me a home to rent. They then went on to claim that they had no obligation to help me with any landlord issues I had. After calling them multiple times to find what avenues I could use to fix my issue with my landlord and them....they decide to send me a NOTICE TO VACATE. I never was late for rent or anything of the kind. Very illegal and against tenant rights. I will be going out of my way to steer everyone I know from using this company. Please use another of the MANY management companies in this area. STAY AWAY FROM DEBBIE!!!! read more

I will make sure I make everyone aware of how horrible this property management is. My sister and her husband rented a property from this property management. They had nothing but trouble in the house from the time they moved in until they moved out 3 months ago. The house had black mold in the bathroom. They mentioned it several times to Debbie and her mother Roberta. They brushed them off. The toilet leaked for 4 months before the owner of the property came in and redid the bathroom floor himself. As an investment homeowner I would not use nor recommend Suite One for property management. I observed through the application process that there is little to no response with potential tenant inquiries. There is no excuse for not returning calls if not in 24 hours than within a week's time. My husband and I considered relocating closer to our child's school and having credit scores well above 750 and long term employment in Public Safety, one would think our application would warrant a quick lease signing. Deborah maybe returned one initial phone call and either failed to return future calls or emails or took over a week to respond. I think this office is either understaffed and can't manage incoming calls to ads or greatly lacks in professional response. I could care less if we didn't qualify for something due to having 2 dogs (not any vicious breed) but at LEAST inform us of the decline, don't just ignore an applicant! read more
