The music is a mix of EDM, Hip-hop, Rap, and R&B. They have tables and bar top seating. If you have a bigger group, I'm sure you can find a table depending on the time you arrive. There is a lot of seating. To start off, I ordered the Matcha Martini. It was STRONG omg, definitely a sipper, but it was so good. It was creamy and had a good matcha flavor. I love how they added matcha powder on top. For drinks, I also tried their espresso martini and Bubbly Pineapple. The espressos here are good, no complaints. The Bubbly Pineapple is so cute; it comes out with a bubble of smoke you can pop. The drink is very refreshing; it really tastes like pineapple. FYI, the drink has little black seeds, so if you don't like textures in your drink, maybe this one isn't for you. Also the drink came with a little frozen pineapple you can add to your drink once you pop the bubble As an appetizer, I got a dozen raw oysters and decided to add the $5 tobiko (fish eggs). Let me say, they were not stingy with the Tobiko, there was so much on my Oysters, I mean a lot! The oysters were good, and so was the tobiko, but I feel that with so much tobiko, it kind of took away from the oysters. Still good though, especially for $21 for the dozen with the tobiko! It was very filling I'm not gonna lie, I got pretty full with the oysters, but I still had to eat my entree As an entree, I ordered the Short Ribs, which came with rice and a side salad. I didn't think I was going to eat much of my entree since the oysters had filled me up, but I ate the short ribs down to the bone! Every single one of those ribs I devoured, no meat was left on my plate. I didn't have space to eat, but my stomach made space for this. 10/10 would recommend the short ribs, especially with the delicious sauce it came with. I think it's like a fish sauce 10/10 for food and drinks. Bonus: the staff here is really friendly. I really enjoyed my time here. I need to come more often for sure, this is definitely a Katy gem

It doesn't bother me that it's semi-dimmed and small. The food made up for it even though my back was to the main entrance door. Good parking spaces. There was a waitlist but we didn't wait for over 30 minutes. Best bang for your buck AYCE sushi at $29.99/person and their menu is THICK. Even for someone who is used to sushi, it was overwhelming at first. The tablet made it easier to order without feeling so needy to the already-so-busy servers. Cheaper at lunch time but menu has less options, mainly no sashimi and only ice-cream as desserts. My favorites are chicken karaage, kanpachi sashimi, yellowtail sashimi, salmon sashimi, Cajun albacore sashimi, spider roll, Starbucks roll, baked green mussels, and their mochi (I got strawberry and mango). I got a lot more but those are my favorite and highly recommend for you to try. Final destination sushi rolls are majority of the people's favorite, including my server's. Eel sashimi is on a grill, which was surprising and good. Wasabi was lacking the spice and I'm not a fan of pink ginger but it's an AYCE so not complaining. What I do suggest you to do is to stay away from hot cheesecake and ice cream tempura. Unfortunately, they most likely use the same batter batch with their meats/seafood and they fry it with their seafood/meat oil so all you taste is mainly seafood, which is quite disgusting when you want your desserts to be desserts. I love seafood but that was gross. I still ate the insides. Overall, a solid restaurant for AYCE sushi. I like that the majority of their sushi rolls are half and they don't kill you with so much rice. Plus, you have an option to not get AYCE if you're not too hungry.

When ordering nigiri and rolls, be sure to ask for less rice b/c although the rice was cooked very well, the ratio of fish to rice was a little off. Service was okay, they did get hit with a big rush of customers after we sat down, so our server ended up forgetting a couple items. side note: idk if they can find a solution to this but the tablet that you order through is super bulky, heavy, and just took up a lot of space on an already small the table, which is kind of annoying for an ayce place. Maybe find some way to mount it on the table. Also, that sweet shrimp is just shrimp, we ordered thinking it was gonna be amaebi.

We got the roti canai and salt and pepper calamari as appetizers, and the sizzling tofu, beef rendang, CK teow as entrees. - Sizzling tofu (6/5): A MUST TRY! I've never had tofu with this texture before. The outside is slightly crisp and the inside so light and fluffy, it feels like bitting into a cloud. The tofu tastes like a creamy egg soufflé and the sauce is savory and salty with pieces of sauté onions that add a nice crunch. The presentation was also very striking with the server pouring the sizzling sauce over the tofu. It's just such a beautiful dish that I would go back solely for! - Beef rendang (4.5/5): Overall a delicious and hearty dish. The beef was very tender and juicy, and there was a generous amount of it. The potatoes soaked up the sauce very well and made the dish extra filling. I forgot if we got to pick a spice level, but the dish had a nice kick to it and wasn't overwhelming spicy. - "CK teow" char kway teow (4/5): This dish had a lovely char tasted to it that made it very addictive. Just a nice savory noodle dish. I think my only complaint was that the portion was on the smaller side - Salt & pepper calamari (3.6/5): This was a pretty good calamari. The calamari had a light and crispy exterior and was pretty tender and seasoned really well. The chunky veggies were a nice touch texture wise. - Roti Canai (3.6/5): the Indian bread was so nice and flakey, I could've eaten it alone. The curry was also really tasty and flavorful, just a little bit watery. Service/ambiance: Service was excellent and they gave us so much rice. The restaurant was dimly lit, giving it a nice ambiance for dinner or a date night.

We also loved the roti canai, which had the perfect flaky texture. Some of the other dishes could have used a bit more spice/flavor, but they were still enjoyable overall. The restaurant was busy, but the space still felt comfortable and private, which we appreciated. Julie was our server and she was incredibly sweet and attentive! They place a large glass bottle of water on the table for you to refill yourself, but she still made sure our glasses stayed full the whole time. That extra level of care really stood out. Would definitely come back next time we're in Texas!

The atmosphere is cute, the energy is good... and the volume is LOUD. We had two kids across from us screaming like they were auditioning for a horror movie, so conversation was basically optional. Not the restaurant's fault, but definitely part of the experience. Now the food? Genuinely delicious. My husband ordered the pho and ended up emptying two bowls of chili sauce into it -- and it was still on the mild side. Flavorful, yes. Spicy, not so much. If you love heat, you'll want to BYO fire. I ordered the tofu vermicelli and it was fantastic. Fresh, flavorful, great texture -- it just needed a little kick to make it perfect. Same with the spring rolls. Still, I was honestly thrilled to see a full vegetarian section on the menu. As a vegan‑who‑still‑eats‑cheese (cheese‑itarian life), having real options felt like a win. And bonus points: they've got a killer local beer selection. Plenty of great choices, and it pairs perfectly with the food. Bottom line: Corner 99 serves great food with thoughtful vegetarian choices and awesome local beers, but if you're a spice lover, you'll be doing your own heavy lifting. And maybe bring noise‑canceling headphones just in case the kid choir is performing again.
