But Yelp, among others, apparently decided that this is the place, in Gaffney, SC. It is attached to a fairly worn down gas station, and one is greeted by bible verses at the door. I probably sold myself short by hiking first and arriving a half hour before closing as they were sold out of what I assume was a much better variety. I took a danish and was offered a free glazed donut as a Father's Day special despite not being a father. Realistically, I think they just wanted to clear out inventory. I paid in cash and kept getting offered more than the correct amount of change. Have to say though, it was a remarkably delicious cream in that danish. I wish I'd been able to try more flavors, but what I found is pretty much the archetype of a little donut place in South Carolina.

I ordered a couple of their specials which would have been two double burgers and two fries on Texas toast! Well they told me they were out of that but I could have my burgers on buns instead! This is terrible customer service and as a former food service specialist the sanitation level was horrible. The first day the players got a delicious cold sub sandwich and chips. Later that evening they ate a big pasta dinner. Baked spaghetti with meat sauce, chicken alfredo and baked ziti. With salad and bread. The players really enjoyed this meal. Especially the chicken alfredo! But it was all great. The next day for after the game meal was a hot chicken philly and hot steak philly.
