Just left our local Sonic! This place has absolutely done a complete turnaround from my last visit six months ago! I ordered a couple of their specials which would have been two double burgers and two fries on Texas toast! Well they told me they were out of that but I could have my burgers on buns instead! Well, that's not a biggie! I pulled around to the pickup window and immediately see four different beverage cups by the register. Employees were taking turns drinking out of them and talking on their phones on the job! That's still not a big deal! I didn't see any adults! This Sonic was staffed with teenagers! Now; that is a biggie to me! It's 9:00 pm more or less and no grownups to be seen? I assure you that's a recipe for a bad review from me! Almost every bad experience that I've encountered at various restaurants had that one thing in common! No adults supervising food preparation activities or customer service! Now the biggest NO NO to me and something I despise is very old very cold fries! Yes they were obviously destined for the garbage can before my untimely visit! I am done here! Me and my family stopped at sonic while on a road trip. They got our order completely wrong and there was foreign objects in an icee we ordered. The employees were all joking around and dancing in the kitchen with a female who didn't appear to be in a work uniform. One of the sandwiches we ordered was cold and when returned to the store we were told it takes 10-15 minutes to cook more chicken. When trying to return the order we noticed the cashier never gave us a receipt and was told there was nothing that could be done. This is terrible customer service and as a former food service specialist the sanitation level was horrible. One employee had a personal cup in the area she was making food in, we see her drinking while prepping food as well as dancing. read more

Slowest drive thru I've ever been in. After sitting in line forever, a young African American lady at the window had a terrible attitude. She never said one word to me... I said thank you several times and she never responded. We're in the south where manners matter. I understand that everyone is short handed at the moment but there is no need to be rude. You can apologize for the wait and be nice and it would make the visit so much better. If their mozzarella sticks weren't so delicious I would never visit again. After reading the sanitation ratings I'm not sure I should still visit but those cheese sticks get me every time. Hopefully something will be done about the people at this store. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. This is the worst Sonic I've ever been to in my life. I'm currently here at the gaffney Sonic at 9:00 and the service is absolutely terrible. All of the workers are just standing in the kitchen talking and dancing. We waited at the outside menu for 30 minutes and no one took our order with only one other car waiting and one person went through the drive through. Finally we went through the drive through as well and have been waiting for another 15 minutes already for our food. The slushy machine is "down" which I'm assuming means they cleaned it and don't want to make us a slushy and have to re clean it because when we first got here the family next to us had slushees. The 2 girls in the restaurant were gossiping so loud we could hear them through the window of our truck cussing and saying inappropriate vulgar slurs. The guy taking our order had his underwear hanging out of his pants the entire time we were at the window. We can currently see our drinks sitting in the window melting. Very unprofessional and would never recommend this eyesore of a "restaurant" to anyone simply because of the service/workers. read more

One of the worst fast food experiences I've had in recent memory. The comments below are consistent on the slow service and other notes. I believe the health department should come pay this Sonic a friendly unexpected visit. We ordered two meals with a Coke and Powerade, but we definitely weren't served Coke and Powerade. Powerade seemed to be just water that was colored blue but maybe it was just old or there was something else wrong with it. Coke was just off. Food order came out wrong, I was a little scared to eat it but it wasn't the worst food I've ever had. Ended up waiting 30 mins for the food but fries tasted like they had been sitting out for hours. Best part of the meal was the peppermint - nice dessert to wipe the taste out of whatever we just ate and drank. read more

Slowest. Sonic. Ever. Half of the speakers seemed broken, our payment didn't go through, and our food took legitimately FOREVER. The teenagers working at this location seemed perfectly nice, but for a place that is pretty much the most basic kind of "fast food," this was slow as aaaaanything. With all the other options right around this location (lots of different fast food places at this exit off the highway), I would recommend going pretty much anywhere else. read more

This is one of the worst restaurants in Gaffney. My husband and I went there for lunch today and waited for 20 mins and no one answered us . Another customer waited 15 mins and pulled around only to find they got her ENTIRE order wrong ! No stars for this place . My advice find a different Sonic !!! read more

I mean it's in Gaffney so of course it's going to be slow and the staff is going to be lazy and rude. The food is okay for a fast food place I guess that is if they get your order right. Oh and don't even bother ordering a cherry limeade with extra cherries because they will never give them to you and still charge you for them. read more

First off, I love Sonic. The variety and deserts are among my favorites in the fast food world. But I ordered a popcorn chicken combo and was asked what sauce I wanted. Ordered it with BBQ. Got my food, no sauce. So I asked the woman who brought it if I could have some BBQ sauce. She helpfully said yes, and turned around and saw another employee coming out. She immediately began discussing with the other employee about how he owed her a cigarette; he threw it away because it wasn't out here anymore, to which he replied "I don't owe you a cigarette, I didn't throw it away. I smoked it" they finally reached a compromise on the tobacco product in question and the woman went off to smoke it with the other employee. All while I never received any sauce. Employee walked back by to go back inside and never returned with my sauce. The popcorn chicken was fresh, just not as good due to lack of sauce. The fries were definitely old fries that had been reheated. The fountain drink was a typical fountain drink. read more

just ordered a foot long hot dog combo. When I received it it looked like it had been dropped on the floor and stepped on plus there was ink writing on the bun. I sent it back not requesting a refund but you have lost a customer. Now I know this will not hurt your business but per chance I just thought you might like to know.
