Before her, I used to get anxious before my appointment because I would always be so sensitive afterwards. When Thuy was done, I was waiting for that sensitive feeling, but to my surprise, I never felt anything! Three year's after, still NOTHING!! She's just EXCEPTIONAL at what she does!!! Ladies and gentlemen, if you need any type of waxing done, please don't hesitate, just book your appointment NOW!!! I just came on here today to show support for Estheticians !! During the lockdown it was ROUGH!! I'm used to getting waxed 3-5 weeks depending on my mood. So during that lock down I had three months of growth *inserts jaw dropping emoji* I knew I already appreciated Thuy , and everything that she does to keep me looking fresh on a monthly basis, but I sure did appreciated her MORE when I couldn't come see her !!! I kept asking myself, Why aren't Estheticians essential ?? Don't they know keeping "down there" clean is beneficial to women's health?? I'm sure it's not just me that thinks this way! Buttttt I respect the Governor's orders , but I still think that she's essential! :). Thanks Thuy! See you soon:) #vaginalivesmatter

At first, it is a little bit difficult to find. It is located right next to a barbecue restaurant that has a bit of a bigger sign. There's not much for parking, but it has never been an issue for me to find a spot so far. I love how intimate, private, beautiful and homey her studio is. She takes one client at a time, so you feel very comfortable as soon as you walk in. She times out her appointments perfectly. I've never had to wait, and maybe the one or two times I did- it was never more than 2 minutes. She does her job fast and thoroughly and is very knowledgeable in what she does. She's friendly, honest, genuine, informational and trustworthy. You feel comfortable with her. I usually go for underarm and Brazilian. Underarms are a piece of cake. The Brazilian does hurt. Even after going to her the 8th time, it still hurts... but I'm always happy in the end. Her prices are very fair. Around $10 (if I remember correctly) for underarms and $35 for Brazilian. Very happy with this place.

When I needed gorgeous, red, victory rolls for my engagement photos, she executed the style and color flawlessly. When I needed dark red color, customized extensions, and a whimsical half-up, half-down style for my wedding, she came through again, working tirelessly to see that my hair was perfect despite the absolute downpour and wind gusts. I had her do the styles of my three ladies, two flower girls, and myself (cut, color, and style for me). Even after working on us all day, she arrived at the venue to touch up our curls and ensure our styles were nothing short of absolute perfection for the ceremony. This lady is awesome and invested in her clients. I could not recommend her enough. She is simply amazing!

I originally booked a gel manicure but was talked into a builder gel manicure because I wanted to try the service. I've never been to this nail salon, this was my first time, and when I asked about the pricing since it was an up-charge from what I originally booked, I was met with laughter by her and a few of the other surrounding nail techs. They spoke in another language but I did hear her say under her breath "asked about the price", after she continued laughing. I knew at that moment that I wouldn't make another appointment and felt very uncomfortable in her chair. I was very disappointed because my nails, other than a few hiccup areas, did not turn out terrible. I did feel as though my appointment with her was rushed; and other than informing me of the price of the builder gel service and asking what color I wanted, she didn't seem as though she wanted my business, and rushed off right after she was done. I looked at the reviews before coming to this location but did not realize that there are a few postings of this nail salon with a few not so great reviews. Please take heed to what others are saying about this place, both good and bad, before you book a service and spend money at this business.

I found Lisa through Groupon when I was looking for facial deals. I thought I would give her a try…read moredue to the good reviews on Yelp. I bought the Groupon and it was super easy to make an appointment with her. I made the appointment with her on a random Saturday afternoon. When I drove up to the location, I was a little confused as my Google maps pointed me to a random apartment. After double checking, I realized the apartment location was correct. There is plenty of street parking around, so I was able to park easily. I was a little early (I did not realize parking was going to be so easy), so I went up to the apartment and rang the doorbell. I did not get a response, so I just waited outside until my appointment time. It was about 5 minutes past my appointment time and I was starting to get concerned that I had the wrong location, but Lisa came out after a few minutes. I realized that she had a client. Not a big deal for me since it was only a few minutes. The inside of Lisa's apartment is sooo cute! So much pink everywhere and super cute accessories in her apartment. During my first appointment, Lisa and I had a discussion about my skin. And, after our discussion, she led me to the room. I loved her facial. It was relaxing and my skin felt so clean after the extractions and microdermabrasion. She was also soothing, letting me know she was doing every step of the way. My facial was about an hour and I left feeling clean and smooth. I also liked the fact that Lisa never pushed me to buy anything or other services. I did ask her about a cleanser and she recommended one to me (again, not being pushy at all). After the facial, she gave me advice on how to keep my skin looking better and I was off to go. I finished up my Groupon with Lisa and had a pleasant experience everytime with her. I would definitely go back to her even now that my Groupon is over.

Parking is easy and plentiful and Lisa is very friendly and easy to talk to. The best part about Lisa is that you can tell that she really loves what she does and is extremely knowledgeable about all the latest developments. She had her own shop in a different state for 16 years before moving out here last year and her experience and passion for her work are evident in interacting with her. She asks you about your current skincare routine and makes recommendations based on your skin type. Her prices are very fair for the quality of service that you get. She doesn't try to upsell anything and is just so friendly and easygoing. You can also communicate with her and make appointments via text which makes life easier. All my friends I saw over the next 48 hours kept commenting on how great my skin looked - when does that happen?? When you have an excellent facialist, apparently. Lisa is also proof of her own abilities - you won't believe how old she is when she tells you. Her skin is flawless. I'm so happy I've found a facialist I can stick with here in LA. Ladies - if you want a little R&R or think your skin needs some TLC, check Lisa out. You won't regret it, especially with all these awesome deals she has going on (if I were a new customer, I'd snap up that yelp deal that's available right now in a heartbeat). She even gave me samples at the end of my session! She's a total sweetheart who's passionate and great at her craft. Doesn't get much better than that.
