I've been going to modish for almost 5 years now. In the beginning, the former owner was less than professional to the point that I was ready to change nail salons. But she sold the business in service has been amazing. They kept the same employees but the people, they're too young men that are the managers are so professional always know me by name always accommodate me, and I enjoy getting my nails and my toes done on a regular basis. I had an appt for 11:15am, and it didn't start until 11:30am. That was okay I guess. Things happen to cause delays. I had made an appt for a pedicure and deluxe manicure, but while there I noticed my nails were too brittle for a regular manicure. I asked my tech if I could change it to include dip. She said yes. In the process of my pedicure, she was rough with the cheese grater. I had already told her to go easy because I have tender skin. She was really hurting me, and I told her this 3 times. Turns out she sliced my foot. At first she said nothing about it until I noticed the blood. At that point she did apologize. Again, things happen sometimes, right? At the end, the tech told me she could not do a dip manicure. I reminded her she said it was okay when I asked. Maybe language was a barrier. She went to get the manager, and he told he that he had no time/people to finish my services. His attitude was flippant and even though he "apologized," it was a back handed apology. You know the kind - the words did not match the attitude. After I paid, the payment system did not prompt me to do anything further. He told me he was waiting on me. I said I had no idea it was waiting on me. He said, "Well, I did not know I needed to provide training on the system." I stopped going there for about a year, because of similar experiences. Last night I thought I'll give Modish another chance. The manager is a piece of work when met with negative feedback. This made me sad because it used to be my favorite nail place. read more

I don't usually get my nails done because I'm usually pretty shy and have difficulty speaking up if I don't like something but she was so easy to talk to, very quick, and made me feel comfortable. It's not even been a week and my holo gel manicure is peeling on almost every nail. My pedicure was amazing and I enjoyed my nail tech but she didn't know how to do holo and had to ask two of her co-workers to help, one of whom yelled at me and made me cry. All I did was show a photo of what I wanted, it is NOT my fault the powder wasn't reacting how it should have. I'd originally booked an appt with Thi but was given someone else. Probably good I was too because I believe Thi was the one who yelled at me! Be careful if you want holo or chrome and make sure your tech can do it. read more

My friend treated me to a pedicure today. She brought me here. I have never been to Modish. When I walked in I was impressed at how clean it was. I always appreciate clean. The staff was polite and even engaged in conversation at times. My nail tech was great. She took pride in her job and services she provided. She actually waxed my eyebrows and did a great job. I stumbled upon Modish while last-minute searching for somewhere that would be open early. I arrived right at 9:30 and received from Claire the best pedicure I've ever had! Modish did get busy quickly (all technicians with customers within an hour). Despite being busy, I didn't feel at all rushed, as I've experienced in other salons. They had good covid precautions in place - masked employees and (most) customers, plexiglass, spacing between customers. I wanted to give this place a five star rating. I was immediately impressed with the atmosphere, the furniture, and the quality of the materials used. Everything is clean, and very nicely decorated. However, I was not made aware of what I was being charged for until I already paid. They give student and military discounts, but that doesn't negate the fact that I was charged for the length of my nails, the shape of my nails, and the design on four of my nails, totaling $25 in up-charges alone. I will probably be back again, the atmosphere and quality of the boutique is the best in Oklahoma that I have seen. If you go, just realize that they will be charging extra you for EVERYTHING, and they won't let you know up front. read more

Was needing a manicure and thought to try this place since it was on my way home. Upon entry, they ask you to sign in by using this iPad to enter your name and phone number. I let the lady at the front know that I just wanted a basic mani and she asked me to choose a color. They have the regular colors by the front desk that you can choose from. The selection is quite extensive. Once I chose a color, she directed me to the middle area at the mani stations. The lady who was to do my manicure didn't greet me or anything, just reached out for my hands to get started. After she removed my nail polish, she did the usual nail filing and cuticle cutting. The whole time, she never tried to converse with me, rather, she talked amongst her coworkers the whole time. This isn't unusual for nail salons, however, the fact that she didn't try to even talk to me at any point made it feel so impersonal and awkward. They do have TVs playing in the background, but they didn't have any subtitles on, and you couldn't really hear them. As far as the place itself, it is beautifully modern and clean. Everything looks well organized. But back to the experience: no beverage was offered, and no hand massage either. All of the other salons I've been to for a basic mani have at least offered that. The total cost was $15 for the basic manicure. I'm hesitant to go back because the experience was a bit sterile. But the mani turned out okay. read more

Modish is a very stylish nail salon but has poor quality customer service. I, myself learned English as a second language and understand the challenges... however the ladies at this salon are so disrespectful. When requesting a natural tip the technician acted like she didn't understand me and would cut me off to complain to the other technician. I even showed them a video of what I wanted and she continued to roll her eyes and complain to the others. I mentioned it to what I assume is the owner and she just called her over, the technician just went off... I didn't need to speak her language to see her body language while she trashed me. Quality of work was decent but the tip were not glued very well to my nails so there is a significant gap between them. Not to mention not at all what I asked for but agreed to. I would give no stars if possible! I usually love Modish, but I was there Saturday (5/18/24) for a deluxe pedicure. I was assigned Kenny. Kenny had air pods in, no big deal. However, after a few minutes I realized he had his phone in the drawer of the pedicure cart, hiding, and was watching it. He did an okay job, until we got to polish. He polished and immediately tried to put my shoe on, he barley got it on my toe and something came on the phone and he dropped the shoe and went to watching and poking around on his phone. I picked the shoe up and paint was all on the inside and my big toe was messed up. He was irritated but her fixed it. After he got both shoes on and I started looked, one of my toes has the skin, cuticle, and everything around it painted. I showed him and he got very upset. He said IT IS BECAUSE THE NAIL IS TOO SMALL and I have to paint something. He tried to fix it but it ended up worse than than it started. Kenny is not good! read more

Disclaimer: my nails look okay. The reason why I'm giving it 2 stars is because of the poor service I received. The lady doing my nails was not very nice, everything was way too rushed. There was another lady getting her nails done and she didn't like how they looked, so the one doing my nails went to "fix" the lady's nails. She was rude to the client and kicked her out of the salon and then proceed to talk bad about this lady to me. I like going to this place because it is clean and nice decor. I had only been to this place twice before this last visit but was with other people and getting other services. I'm extremely picky about how my nails look and I'm very simple with them and never change. I do French tip-pink/white, clipped short, and squares corners-I want them done exactly this way every time. With that being said I went in right when they opened. Was second person there (did not have an appt on a Friday morning) I got right in with one of the ladies. I had told her what I wanted but she kept asking me questions and apparently I didn't understand because she put something on my first nail that I didn't want, at this tome her scheduled client came and she decided to take her actual appt and moved me to another tech. I think normally this would not sit well with customers but I was cool and thankful I got in last minute. Although a rough start, my experience turned out quite well. The tech was trying to get to know me and made me want to know him as well! Best conversation at a nail salon that I ever had. He did a good job with my nails and listened to how I wanted them. I will say though, I was a little confused on how the drinks worked. The First Lady never offered me one but she immediately offered her other client as did the rest of the techs. The guy tech that took over offered me one from the start but never got it until I asked. Also- some people were offered pop, water and some were offered hot tea, coffee, frozen??!! I would like more clarification on this because I do love to have a beverage of some kind while I sit for a while. Again, I enjoyed my overall experience and would have give a perfect 5 star if not for the rough start. My friend and I came here for two dip manicures. I have been here several times in the past with mostly positive experiences. Both of our technicians took about 20 minutes to do our dip manicures. I have never had such a rushed nail service. My friend was cut several times (I would assume due to rushing) and we both had the dip powder activator left all over our fingers and under our nails. Additionally, they did not clean the colored powder residue from the skin around our nails. I am not sure why we were rushed through, as our appointments were for 6:15 and we both arrived before our appointment time. I sent pictures of our nails to the owner and spoke with her the following day. She has always been so nice in the past and was pleasant during our phone call and did apologize. However, she did nothing but make excuses. She even told me that one of the technicians had worked there a long time and had never had a complaint. Obviously, it is not just me being picky, as is evident in the pictures I sent to her. Normally I would give this place 5 stars, its cute and very clean, and the people are very polite and helpful. If today's experience was the normal there would be no way I would recommend this place to anyone. I went in for a one nail repair of the dip color, after waiting 45mins and people who came in after me had their service started I was still waiting. And then when I disagreed with their color choice for the repair I was met with distain, and told no this is it. 1. I realize that you were busy, but I needed a one finger repair, not a full set... normally a full set takes 45mins to an hour 2. When the customer says it's the wrong color agree and change the color. 3. Don't have an attitude and do a poor job just because the customer disagrees with you. 4. If you're to busy tell the customer to come back at a later time. I was truly disappointed with my experience and hope it gets better, I will return based on previous experience, and I will make my apt with a different lady. read more

Pedi cure was good, had a classic but si Fe dhse the shellac owlish was charge $50 for it. 3 days later, my feet are in pain as the sides of my heels are now with deep cracks which are painful. Manicure...... had the dip manicure..... no cuticle care so started 1/4 inch from base of nail, . Also didn't want artificial nails, but after being told, no just powder, glued tips. Only 4 days later and one hand hs broken off completely.. My daughter paid a Ridiculous amount for this late Mother's Day present and it hasn't lasted a week. Massage chair 5, oh if you pay $60 for a dip manicure .... you better pay an extra $5 for cuticle care and I don't know how much for the moisturizerNd massage of arms and fingers. But only give them a 1 for manicure. Will not return. read more

Will never recommend this salon and I will never step foot in there again. June 7th my daughter turned 3 and I wanted to take her to get her finger and toenails done for the first time in the salon. It was 12 in the afternoon on a Wednesday and there were several workers in the salon and few people getting services done at the time of our arrival. I told the man at the counter we didn't have an appointment but told him what services we wanted, and he stated, "he would see how long the wait is". I had my daughter try to pick out her color, which there were very limited nail polish colors that looked of good quality, and as we did that the man came back to us and asked if we wanted gel or polish. Once I told him I wanted polish since she was 3 he smiled and walked back to the back to I assume communicate that to the workers. There was a man taking a nap in one of the chairs and I saw the other man wake him up and talk for about 3 min. The man at the counter came back to tell myself and my daughter that "no one has time for us today and asked us to leave. I was shocked and told him are you serious and when did you all stop taking walk ins? I also mentioned the man sleeping in the one of the chairs. He did not answer me and only responded "the man sleeping has an appointment coming up and again said there is no time for you today." My daughter was extremely upset. I am so very upset that we were denied service on her birthday, and we were embarrassed like that. I will make sure to tell everyone of this experience and will take my business to the several other nail salons in the area from now on. You all should feel ashamed for what you did. read more

Extremely horrible service, unclean, poor work and poor management. I used to go here every 2 weeks to get my nails done. I did the powder. They really hurt my pinky by aggressively filing and drilling. I let it go b/c I figured it was just a mistake. They did it 2 more times and the final time they did it, they cut my pinky in 3 places, scratched up other areas of my cuticle on 3 fingers. It was bloody. They still made me pay and got mad when I told them I wanted my money back. Since I cannot post a review on Facebook, I did a post on my personal page and there were many that have come forward about how Modish messed up their fingers and nails as well. read more
