I was so disappointed by the treatment I received this morning while stopping to grab a drink for…read moremy daughter. She has been going there recently in place of her "normal" coffee stand because she likes the flavor of her drink better at Bean Bags, even though it cost her $1 more. I ordered her drink and the barista, Jaylin, was explaining about how the cream separates and looks curdled. I didn't order anything with cream so I was very confused. I reiterated my order to make sure she got it correct. I got my drink and it was incorrect. I told her, kindly, that it was incorrect and she said "Jesus!" And she dumped the drink out in a very rough manner. She made another one and the manager handed it to me. I kindly stated that one was also incorrect and that my daughter cannot have carbonation and that's why I ordered it with plain water. The manager just said "oh, I'm sorry!" Never offered to remake it or anything, so I said "I guess I'll just have to pay $10 ($9 + $1 tip) for a drink I have to dump out. What a disappointment. I guess we won't be going there anymore.

Urraco Coffee Company was a great stop on a very recent trip to Shelton. We have heard about it…read moremaybe about a year ago but never made it there until just recently. I could be wrong but it looks like it's the only independently owned coffee shop in town or at least in the downtown area. And it indeed shows! The line to place orders was quite long inside the place and they were also managing orders for drive thru customers. But they had the line moving steadily and got customers on their way at a pretty good pace. I'm guessing it's like this here often and they are well practiced! But there was also a church nearby and a farmers market which brought in a lot of people. I really enjoyed the Toasted Pecan Latte from their Autumn coffee menu. It was very good! Nice and smooth and the nuttiness was so pleasant as we enter into Autumn! Of course it wouldn't be a full coffee shop experience without trying out the pastries. They all look to have been made locally as in the Shelton area. I got an almond Danish which was so good and went with the coffee drink quite well! Such a nice coffee shop to hang out at. They have indoor and outdoor seating but even with that it could be a challenge to find a place to sit if it's always this popular.

We are from out of town so we were open to any suggestions and this just turned out to be a good one. The coffees that they made were all made very well and the staff was super friendly and helpful. They have lots of good pastries, just kind of wish they would've had like a breakfast sandwich or something on the menu. What they do have, they do well though. So no complaints at all.

I asked for my drink and turned around like I couldn't hear her and started making fun of it. She proceeded to say that it wouldn't even taste like how I wanted, I watched her proceed to make it like a Carmel frappe instead of a Carmel macchiato blended (which I got confirmed by another barista is a thing and in my opinion they taste completely different). I hate being confrontational and so instead of my normal 3 dollar tip for a small order I gave her a dollar and drove off. Normally love the staff, I normally love the drinks. But if she's at the window, I will drive away. I don't like that kind of confrontation, but you can't be rude about a customers order all of the time (I do agree if it's blatantly stupid like Latte with no milk or some shit), but funny enough I do know my drinks. It was specifically requested for a reason, this is the first time a barista questioned that order here. So maybe have management talk to her about this? I don't want her fired, but I think some additional training would be nice.

We drove up and were greeted immediately and kindly. My wife ordered the special the "Blended Thin Mint" which does in fact have coffee in it and it's so good I tried it and if I could have dairy I would have loved it to the last drop. I got a cold brew with sugar. And before we left they wanted us to make sure it wasn't too sweet or that it was sweet enough. And I thought it was so great that they asked me that before I left. You can tell they care about their product, customers and brand. If you live here or are just rolling through this a great stop.
