Be prepared for a 45 mins wait. Our appt was 3:40pm and we left at 4:45pm and the cleaning was only 15 mins. Receptionist has asked us if we want to see another dr. instead of Dr. Wu because of the long wait, I said sure but still have waited for 45 mins. They have cartoon playing all the time and few toys & books on table, at least kids will not be bored while waiting. Since it has been more than a month from our last visit, I don't remember our dr.'s name, I guess she is Dr. Chan. Anyway, she's very patient with my 3 yrs old who refused to lay down and open his mouth; she sang ABC & twinkle twinkle little star to make my son less nervous which was a big help. She checked every single tooth and cleaned them very gently. At last, she awarded my son with a dinosaur toothbrush and few dinosaur figures (they give toothbrush to every kid, but the way she gave it to my son was like awarding for his bravery). Overall our experiences are good, will definitely go back in 6 months. read more

I want to share this review to thank Dr. Kim and her assistant Luly who work at Dr. Suet Wu's office for their professionalism, care and patience when providing dental work for my 5 year old. My child has extreme fear to dentist visits. It was very difficult just to get xrays done. Luly was extremely kind and patient talking to my son to make him feel less nervous. Both Dr. Kim and Luly put on the X-ray protection jacket and stayed in the room with my son to have the X-ray taken. Luly noticed that my son is the type that must know and understand how everything gets done. So Before they started cavity treatment, Luly spent a great amount of time introducing and explaining what each tool does and demonstrate their usage for my son. It was a truly amazing care, my husband and I were so impressed. It was not an easy fix to the decayed tooth due to the depth of the cavity. But Dr. Kim and Luly successfully fixed the tooth. They were very calm and focused during the entire procedure despite the fact that my son was crying and moving non stop due to his extreme fear. I almost broke down in tears after they successfully treated his tooth. After the treatment, Luly came out to the waiting area and went over the after care again with us and talked to my son. She's absolutely awesome and amazing. I can go on and on about how wonder she is :) Luly must be recognized for her excellent patient care. Thank you Luly and Dr. Kim. read more

First off, I love the receptionists and the dentists here. Each one that I have met so far are super good with the kids. No traumatic visit with my two children ever. The one star that I took off is for the messy, chaotic waiting room. Some of the children actually jump up and down and unless you complaint to the receptionists about it, otherwise they are too nice to say something. PS I don't want to take off another star because I really like this office, but my sons had never met Dr Suet Wu in the last two years we have been their patient. I took my son here for 2 cavities treatment and they both got infected at the same time after 1 month. Now, he need root canal for both teeth. I took my son there to seek for treatment and they told me to give him antibiotic. Then a follow up appointment to see how he is doing. Then another appointment 1 month later for root canal treatment or worse case to pull out his teeth. i need to wait 1 MONTH for a Root canal. This place is ridiculous !! read more

3 Stars: To be fair, the dentist herself was okay with the children. Yet the dentist was not as warm and friendly as I wished for someone dealing with little kids to my preference. She could improve on her approach with the kids, introducing herself differently and interacting at a kid friendlier level. Overall though, she was friendly enough with the kids and I may have rated higher if the hygienist was not involved. If she was running an adult practice, I may have given 4 stars. The hygienist was a bit too aloof and cold for a pediatric dental practice. More suited for adults. She got to business cleaning the teeth in a technically proficient manner but her interpersonal skills with kids were poor. I may have been spoiled by our previous dentist's office where the dentist was very warm, caring and excellent with the kids. And that type of high standard should receive 5 stars. Also the fact that they dont have a bathroom in the office suite and that we had to use the common dirty bathroom in the general building hallway did not help either. The cleanliness of the general waiting area in the office was passable and the exam room was also passable by my high standard. I empathize with the difficulties of running a dental office. But ultimately it is up to the doctor to run a tight ship, to ensure that the hygienists, office staff and cleanliness are all at the highest caliber. Will not return again. read more

Dr. Wu and her staff are super friendly and nice with the kids. My son been her patient for over 1 year. The office is clean and modern with Cartoon Networks playing in the exam room and waiting room to ease the kids. Dr. Wu works quickly while still playing attention to details. I noticed she have petite hands that seem to allow her more room to work on kids mouths and the kids don't have to stretch their mouth as big when compare to other kid's dentist my son been to. P.S. I would recommend book early as she does get busy at time. read more

This place is ridiculous. My son had a tooth pain and needed to find a new pediatric dentist asap. The current pediatric dentist is closed on Sat. So i wanted to switch because of the inconvenience anyway. I called and they said they would take my insurance and once i mentioned he was 10yo they said they could not take him. When asked why they told me because they don't accept new patients over 10yo, but they still see there cureent patients past 10yo ? Wow great service!! Do not bother going to there. No matter how early we arrived for our kids scheduled appointments, we never fail to end up having to wait AT LEAST 45-50 minutes for a barely 10 minute perfunctory examination. Meanwhile, we see other kids coming in later, but for some UNEXPLAINED reasons, they get to stroll right into the office. No matter how many times I've voiced my option with the staffs, they still end up OVER-BOOKING PATIENTS! THIS IS HIGHLY INCONVENIENT FOR WORKING PARENTS AND EXTREMELY INCONSIDERATE. I would give this office ZERO STAR if that feature was available. NOT GOING BACK, EVER!!! read more

My husband and I took our 2.5 yrs old son to see Dr. Wu recently. We were so afraid of our son's reaction since (1) he absolutely hates brushing teeth (2) he gets irritated when people try to exam/brush his teeth. The moment we arrived at Dr. Wu's clinic, we felt a sense of relief. It was bright and so kids-friendly. He was playing with the toys, reading some books, and even made a friend with a girl at his age. The staff were friendly and helped us through the cleaning process (calming our son while he's screaming, at the end we were all singing the ABC song aloud, which was quite funny). As others have said, be prepared to wait and plan ahead since it takes a long time to get an appointment. The waiting room was very kid friendly and there were toys for the children to play with and cartoons on the television for them to watch. Our first visit was very pleasant after the long wait. Dentist was very friendly and patient with our child (5 year old). On our second visit, again after a long wait, the dentist said that our child had eight cavities. We were shocked but accepted this since this person was the expert. We made an appointment to have his cavities filled at one of the earliest appointments available which happened to be 3:00pm on a school day six weeks later (April 2014). When that day came, they said that they would only do two teeth and we would have to make another appointment for the rest of the teeth. I don't know if my child will ever want to go to a dentist again in his life. Let's just say the procedure involved a Novocain shot, baby root canals and metal caps on his teeth. It was extremely painful to watch as our child cried through the whole procedure. After the dentist was finished she said that our child shouldn't be crying at his age and was very immature. Are you serious? He's five years old. When we went to speak to the receptionist to make another appointment she said that we should make the next appointment earlier in the day when our child is more awake rather than later in the day when he was tired. The only time they have earlier appointments is during school days, if you want an early weekend appointment expect to wait six months. Apparently school isn't very important to these people. Not only that, the dentist only works two or three days a week. I guess they make so much money filling cavities they don't have to work a full week. We didn't make another appointment. I've spoken to three other parents we knew who have sent their children to Suet Wu and they all seem to have the same diagnosis, cavities approaching double digits. Two of these parents accepted this but one decided to get a second and even a third opinion. Let's just say that the second and third opinion were completely different from Suet Wu's diagnosis. Do yourself and your child a favor, if you have any doubt in your mind about the diagnosis, get another opinion and avoid any possible traumatizing experience. This is the only review I have ever written on yelp or any other site but I felt the need to share our experience. read more

The office is very clean. It was her first time at the dentist and I was a bit nervous for her. There was a television for my kid while she got a cleaning. She loved it. The dental hygienist, Jennifer, was wonderful with my kid. She was so patient and nice. She answered all my questions. My child's teeth looked so clean! Never sent your children to this Dentist. The dentist in this practice is routinely using restraint on children. In the first visit, Dr. Hu came to the clinic to see my son for regular check up, later on, when procedure is needed, there are different dentists came to the dirty work. Those doctors worked like factory workers. Without parents consent, they automatically put on restrain on the children. I am sorry to admit that we came from a culture that never question what doctors do. If you search on line, you can see the type of restrain they use on children. It completely immobilized my son and put a mouth piece to prevent him from making sound. But it is not the worst thing. To be more time efficient, the young dentist started drilling my sons teeth right after injected him with anesthesia. He was in so much pain that his capillaries around eyes were broken showing numerous purple spots. The doctor ignored all the signs of pain, and told my worried husband that children are always too nervous to see dentist, like it should happen always. I cried and cried after I saw my son when he returned from the clinic... looking at his eyes... I cried... Today, 12/7/2013, Dr. Hu called and appoligized for what had happened and told me that she will fire the young doctor, which I do not know if he is legal to practice. What good does it do? The damage is done. My son is permanently traumatized by this practice. Wish people can see the posting and never have to experience what I have experienced. read more

This is by far the Best Pediactirc Dentist I've ever been to! I have a 7 year old daughter who went through a health plan change recently. Her previous dentist doesnt except her new plan, so..... I have tried to find a good dentist through many different sources...Google, Dentist.com, called the insurance company, Yellow Pages, and even asked friends for referrals. The first dentist she went to pricked her with a 9 inch needle (or so it seemed) out of no where! She jumped out of that chair faster than you can say cavity and ran down the hall. The second dentist office we went to had the WORST customer service and wasnt very child-friendly (don't know how thats even possible in a "childrens dentist office"). So then I stumble across Suet Wu's office and was kind of upset because she was very far from home but the closest Dr. who excepted my daughters insurance. So we walk into the office, first patient of the day, and Suet comes out into the waiting room to introduce herself to my daughter and I. Shocked from that alone, I began to feel as comfortable as if I were family in their cozy waiting room as she described the method she would use to "numb" my daughter. I was very much at ease and so my daughter as Dr. Suet explained it to her as well. She even let my daughter hold one of the untensils so that she could be less nervous. Everything Dr. Suet did from the moment I entered the waiting room, made me feel very comfortable and reassured me that everything would go fine with this dreadful procedure of getting a silver cap placed on my daughters baby tooth. read more
